I will never ever even consider buying another Kia because of this place. I purchased a 2012 Kia Sorento from someone who had bought it with a bad motor and swapped motors with another Sorento that he had wrecked. After 2 months of owning this car, I was driving and the car started to make a horrible noise. I stopped driving it and had it towed to this dealership. They found that a piece of the balance shaft had broken off (this is another known problem with this engine) causing the noise and the mechanic claimed that I removed a bolt from the balance shaft and that it was missing, insinuating that I sabotaged the car. The motor that is in this car was recalled as part of a settlement for a class action lawsuit for Kia leaving metal in the motor causing the connecting rod bearing to go bad. I asked them for a record of when the car was brought in with the bad motor and they told me that they just wrote it up as a sledge problem, in apparent attempts to conceal the know engine problem. I later fixed my car and when I tried to put everything back together, the mechanic failed to return 4 oil pan bolts and all of the bolts that hold up the cover at the bottom of the motor. Do not buy a Kia if you plan to drive it long term. They lie to you and cover up known problems and deficiencies. In response to the follow-up... No thank you. I will not call to talk to anyone at your dealership about anything. You have the opportunity to treat your customers the right way when they come into your dealership... By participating in a cover-up of faulty engines that led to the recall of 1.2 million of them, by lying about the problems causing the engine failure, you failed to do so. In having the "head mechanic" lie to customers and scold them like a child claiming they took a bolt out of a balance shaft insinuating they sabotaged the car, and then not return several bolts he took off of an oil pan, is failing to do so. Furthermore I was told that taking the oil pan off would be no charge, I was told this again when I got the phone call to pick the car up and then was charged. (I was so angry at the audacity of the "head mechanic" with the mustache and then being charged after I was repeatedly told it would be no charge, that I could not even argue this without making a scene in front of my daughter so I just paid it and chalked it up as a lesson to 1. never ever do business with Bill Daugherty Kia again and 2. to warn everyone I come in contact with to do the same.

This review has nothing to do with the sales person I met with, as he was very friendly, honest, and genuine. I am giving this review a two star eating because of the way I was lied to by the "internet department" (the people that call you to try to get you to come to the dealership when you show interest in a car). My mother-in-law spoke with a woman named Judy on the phone for about an hour discussing my current car situation. I have a lot of negative equity with a crazy high APR since I went to JD Byrider for this car. But my mother-in-law explained EVERYTHING. The amount I owed on the car, the negative equity, the miles in the car, etc. Judy told her that with all of the cash incentives and rebates, they could get me into a new Serento with LOWER payments. They talked for an hour on the phone about this and assured my mom-in-law that it would be no problem at all. So I called and made an appointment to meet with Judy. The next day, day of my appointment, I called and asked to speak with Judy. "Shes not in today, can I take a message?" Oh. Thats weird when I made an appointment to meet with her today. "Thats okay you can still come in. We work as a team." The lady told me on the phone. Okay... We get there and they run the numbers and right away the sales guy told us those people basically talk out of their asses to get people in there. Found out the lady I was supposed to meet with doesnt even work in this building. The internet department works in Streetsboro. So I talked with the sales guy, crunched the numbers, and I could not get into a car without having a cosigner, it being in a lease contract, and my payments going up almost double. So Judy was talking out her ass and made me waste my time. One: Why make it that confusing for potential customers? Two: Dont tell potential customers they will absolutely be able to get into a car and then having them drive 45 minutes just to be told that was a lie by the sales team. Waste of time. Get your staff on the same page and dont lie to people.

had to give 1 star if i had my choice it would be minus about 10 stars. the place is a joke! ! ! i HAD to make an appointment to go there so i got there at the scheduled time nobody was at the desk. just a bunch of sales people walking around fast acting like they were busy. so after 20 minutes of waiting i walked in to an office in the back and was told to have a seat somebody will come get you. so after another 35 minutes i was walking out the door to leave and my phone rang and somebody from the dealership called me to tell me i missed my appointment!! so i told her i had been there almost an hour and was leaving and she had me go back in and somebody would come talk to me. so i did there commercial says push it pull it or drag it in and we will give you 35 hundred dollars for it and if you earn350 a week we will get you approved well my car is a 2005 but i drove it in and its in real good shape for a 2005 and they offered me 500 bucks and did not even get up from his desk to look at it long way from the 35 hundred the said on TV and i make about a grand a week after taxes and still not good enough for them i was also told that they are the no money down company.but he did have time to tell me all about his own side BBQ catering business before he turned me down so in the end i was told if i had better credit and a few thousand dollars you know just laying around they could help me so they lied about everything!! and i drove all the way up there from orrville about an hour each way or a 60 mile round trip i only get one day off a week and waisted it up there that place is full of lyers and crooks i strongly suggest you dont waste your time on these thieves unless you have excellent credit and several thousand lying around if you dont have good credit and they say its ok we can help they are full of it dont waist your time that was my experience.

In the last 3.5 years, I have purchased 3 cars and leased one from Bill Doraty Kia. Initially, I was very happy with them. After about 2 years with my lease car, I started to get bombarded with offers from them to purchase my Kia back. Since I had taken a job where I worked from home, we had an extra vehicle, I decided to check it out. The offer I received said that they would pay up to $12,590* for my car. The * was for highest trim level. I knew that I wouldnt get the full amount, but looked up the Kelley Blue Book value for the car and went in. They offered $1,000 less then the Kelly Trade-In value and I declined their offer. They continued to bombard me with offers which I ignored until they called me. On the phone call, I explained the situation regarding the last time I stopped in, and said that I would be very upset if they tried the same thing. Connie assured me that they wouldnt because they had a buyer for my car. I set up an appointment and went in. Well, they tried the same thing again. I spoke (Ill admit angrily) to the Sales Manager and he stated, "I send out 15,000 of these offers each month like that. I cant check the payoff on each one!" I informed him that he should especially since I was very clear on the phone regarding this matter, and since I purchased it from them and have a lease with Kia finance, it would have taken them all of 2 minutes to check it. I will never go back (I am checking with Kia Finance to see if I can return the car to another Kia dealer when the lease is up). Update 11/25/14 - Contacted Manager as he suggested. His offer to make up for it was to restate the very same offer that they made when I was in the store without addressing the deceptive practices his dealership is using.
