This is the place to go for a wedding dress in Fort Myers. Forget the retail bridal stores, their customer service is no where near what you will get here. After accompanying my friend to a common retail chain for her dress I knew I needed something different. They were so pushy and its hard to feel like its your day when there are 3 or 4 other brides sharing the same platform. I ran into the owner of For the Bride Boutique at a bridal show and you could immediately see the difference in her dresses. They are unlike any other dresses in the area and she guarantees that no other chains will carry her dresses. You dont have to worry about seeing your dress on facebook before you even get to wear it on your day. I made a Saturday appointment realizing that it would be likely I would be sharing the spotlight with at least one other bride since Saturday is usually the most convenient day for people. I was wrong! I was at my appointment from 12-3:30 and had the owners full, undivided attention the entire time. In addition, there was no limit on the number of dresses I got to try. I didnt have to hurry and I was not pressured to choose anything. In fact, she even brought me dresses to try on that I didnt have any interest in just to make sure I was 100% certain that nothing would top the dress I finally decided on. She was so thorough in making sure that I found the best dress for me and my body type. We analyzed every detail you could imagine in order to find a complete picture of exactly what I wanted. I am now waiting on my dress to come in and I am 100% certain that the alterations part of the process will be just as thorough as the selection part. She also carries bridesmaids and because her customer service was so great we decided to get the bridesmaids dresses from here as well. You can tell that the owner is passionate and knowledgeable about her work and truly feels that, in order to make her business successful, she must make sure every bride looks amazing and is satisfied. If you want the complete bridal experience, this is where you need to go.

I had originally gone here to try on wedding dresses and didnt find anything I liked but they had the bridesmaid dress I wanted for my bridal party. I have called 3 times over a six month time period and every time I called, I was given a higher price than the last time. I had a $25 off coupon that I was given when I went to the store to look at the bridesmaid dress. I called this past Saturday to make sure I could use it there and was given a price quote of $159 for the dresses by Fran. I went to the store yesterday to do my paperwork and was told that the $159 price did not exist. The dress was $198 (I had called last week and they told me it was $175) and with the coupon would be $173. When I told Wendy (I think she is the owner) what Fran told me, she just shook her head and said no, the price is $198. I had already told my bridesmaids about the great deal we got and had to turn around and let them know that the store had lied to me. Wendy didnt offer to honor the price they had given me on the phone, didnt even seem concerned that I was so upset. We ended up finding the dresses online for $156 so we are going to go that route. It really bothered me that every time I called, the price was higher and that they misquoted me but didnt offer to stand by their price. Customer service is clearly not their priority. I had gone in the store in February to look for the bridesmaid dress and no one even talked to me or offerred to help me so we ended up leaving. I should have known then to stay away from this place. Please do yourself a favor and skip this store if you are shopping for a dress. Lorettas Bridal and Tie the Knot are so much better and will do anything for their customers. When I tried dresses on at For the Bride, Wendy didnt even help me get into the dresses, I had to do it myself! Poor poor service.

I went here after calling about a garment bag for a dress I had already purchased. I met some of the employees at a local dress event and was given their card for alterations. I am not completely in love with my dress and thought about selling it and getting another one that I love. When I got there I was promptly told that I couldnt try anything on. I was OK with that but still wanted to look at what they had to offer. I was looking through the racks and asked a couple of questions about colors, style, etc. I got very short answers from the staff and none of them wanted to help me. Then one staff member made a comment about the price of a dress I was looking at. I was so offended. Just because I wasnt all dolled up on a Saturday morning doesnt mean I cant afford your dresses! These people are crazy. I also asked about adding a corset back to my dress. She told me that would be too expensive and difficult to do. How does she know what I can afford? And I actually did find someone who could do that for me and they said it isnt that hard. These people are out of their minds. Its like you have to make an appointment and join their ridiculous club so you can even talk to them and they can feel better about themselves. And to make matters worse there were at least four employees standing around gossiping doing absolutely nothing constructive and not one of them offered to help me. This place is awful. I will be traveling all the way to a boutique in Tampa to find my perfect wedding dress,

I went into the shop to get a bridesmaid dress altered that I purchased in another city for a friends wedding. Everyone was really nice, although the alterations were very pricey compared to what all my other friends were paying, but Wendy promised her seamstress was the best. I had to wait a week (which put me at 2 days before my friends wedding) and when I ran over during my lunch break they had forgotten to alter one shoulder. They promised to have it ready by the next day (which was the eve of when I was leaving for the wedding). When I got back the next day, the dress was still on a hanger with the pins still in place, no one had touched it since the day before. The owner wasnt in, so the lady there was nice and helped me find a seamstress in town who would alter it for me right away... the fact of the matter is that it should have been done as promised and I should not have had to run all over town trying to get my dress altered when I had already paid over $100 in alterations. The owner never called to apologize or offer discounts on another alteration there. I just got engaged and was planning on checking there for my dress bc they had a lot of pretty dresses, but I hesitate to go due to the problems I had with alterations with my bridesmaid dress!!!
