I set this appointment up for my fiance as a surprise shopping trip with her close family and friends. Here is her story: I was so excited to start wedding dress shopping for my upcoming wedding with everyone I loved. I had a picture in my head about how shopping for wedding dresses would go..champagne..tears..smiles.. that didnt happen with the perfect bride. I guess we did smile because we were laughing at what a joke treatment we got from the staff there (besides the alterations lady I believe, she was very sweet and kind). When I started trying on dresses I had an exact type/style - none of those were pulled for me and it seemed like a hassle for them to help me find dresses. Then we got scolded numerous times for trying to take a picture of what the dresses looked like on me. The owner was very rude to my mother in law and snapped back at her a couple times whenever she asked simple answer questions - such as "do these dresses come in smaller sizes" (she was putting me in size 18 dresses when Im a size 4 and they were swallowing me and we couldnt get a clear guesstimate) which she rudely responded "OBVIOUSLY." She then over heard my mother in law talk to her husband on the phone about what a not nice (bleeping the bad words, you can guess) this lady was - which she ended up hearing. After she heard our complaints and groans she "tried" to be nicer which was a huge fall short from nice even when trying her hardest haha. After I did NOT find any dress near what I was interested in, we moved to the bridesmaid section. This is where it really got hilarious. The daughter which she calls her "assistant", was banging on my bridesmaids dressing room doors rudely saying "ARE YOU GOING TO LET ME IN, THIS IS WHAT IM HERE FOR". After that we couldnt help but laugh at our experience and move on to the next wedding dress shop. Even if we did find the most beautiful dress from here, which some of the bridesmaids dresses were in the running, we all decided it wasnt worth putting our money into this place. I would NOT recommend this place to any soon to be bride. Reading the other reviews I have to say that the reviews are 100% accurate.

The Perfect Bride was my first (and last) stop on my journey to find the perfect wedding dress. I was quite surprised to see complaints on here from other people, because I was thrilled with my experience at The Perfect Bride. I worked with Renee, and she was great to work with. Although my budget was not on the higher end, she never once questioned it and even told me to look at every price tag because "I dont care who you are - everyone has a budget." She was very understanding and did not try to push me to look at the more expensive dresses. She was never pushy, and let my mom and I explore the store together to find our favorites. She was extremely patient, even as I was down to two beautiful dresses that I could not decide between and tried each of them on 5+ times. Renee obviously has a lot of experience in the industry and had even guessed which dress I would choose in the end. We were both very happy with our experience with her and the store itself. I also felt that the selection at The Perfect Bride was just right for me. No, they dont have thousands of dresses but I think anyone who goes in expecting that is a bit jaded. This is a boutique-type store, not a warehouse. Personally I would rather have a smaller selection of high quality dresses than weed through dresses TJ Maxx-style at a huge store like Catans. I think that many women go into the wedding dress shopping experience expecting to be coddled and treated like a princess and are disappointed when it doesnt live up to their fantasies. A lot also think they can walk into a store like The Perfect Bride with 5 bridesmaids in tow and no appointment and get unlimited attention. Theres a reason why appointments are recommended - the consultants are obligated to spend their time with those people, not walk-ins off the street who disrupt the flow of the day. Im sure other people could have had an experience different from my own, but I had to defend The Perfect Bride because I thought my dress shopping experience was perfect and I cant wait to wear my beautiful dress walking down the aisle.

Let me start by saying that I CANNOT believe some of the reviews that I just read (aside from the wonderful ones). Everyone has a right to their opinion, I guess, but here is my story: A few months ago I started the hunt for my wedding dress. I went to The Dress in Medina with my bridal party, my mom and furture mother-in-law. It was a good experience, however, they didnt have anything that gave me "that feeling" that all former brides always talk about. We had a second appointment scheduled for another salon in Rocky River- I cant even remember the name of the salon right now so I guess nothing else really needs to be said about that. As we were leaving that salon, feeling defeated and annoyed, we saw the sign for The Perfect Bride and decided to stop in and see if theyd at least let us look to see what they have. Mind you, I had 6 people with me and no appointment scheduled. Trust me when I say we are a tough group to please and are all very opinionated and I absolutely LOVED the salon and the staff were my absolute favorite! Carly was amazing, she embraced me and my ladies and did nothing but ensure that she would help me find my perfect dress. Not only did she let us look, but she also OFFERED to have me try on some dresses to see if we can get an idea of what I like (I wasnt even expecting to be acknowledged without an appointment, next thing I knew I was in a wedding dress). She was amazing. Long story short: Ive never been a review person, however, I had an overwhelming desire to counter all of the negative ones because I just dont believe them. I just purchased my dress today, found my bridesmaids dresses and got my favorite little human (my niece) a beautiful junior bridesmaids dress- all with the help of Carly. Oh, and Carly was so sweet to my niece- she now wants to own a "wedding dress shop" when shes older. Try this place out for yourself, I would never go anywhere else. They are absolutely wonderful there and I cant thank them enough for helping me through this process :)

Awful experience. Theyre extremely pushy and not friendly. I did purchase a wedding dress here, which I ended up not loving. At the time of purchase, I felt extremely pressured to buy the dress by the saleswoman, Susie. When I first arrived and she asked what type of style I wanted (which is trumpet or mermaid), she told me I was too short to have that type of dress. She spent hours trying to get me to make a decision on a dress, I caved in, which was my fault because I always had the option to say NO (which I should have). I called two days after purchasing the dress expressing my concern that I had made the wrong decision and she completely neglected my feelings and rushed me off the phone. She told me everything would be fine and I would love the dress. I came back a few weeks later after having second thoughts and she didnt even remember who I was. She was extremely unfriendly and could have cared less about helping me. I ended up finding my perfect dress about a month after this horrific experience. OH AND GUESS WHAT? The dress I ended up getting is trumpet, so it turns out Im not TOO SHORT for the silhouette I wanted. Ive told several people about what Susie said about me being too short and they think she was being ridiculous and trying to make excuses because she didnt have the style I wanted. Once the dress from the Perfect Bride came in, I told them I would be coming to pick up my dress but I would not be getting it altered. The lady that greeted us when we came to pick up the dress was so rude and made the experience even worse than it already was. She rolled her eyes at me when I said that I was just coming to pick up the dress because it wasnt the right one for me. Overall, I suggest that as a bride you look around and dont settle no matter how pushy a bridal store is. This happens to be one of those stores and I cant express enough how disappointed I am with this experience.
