I only gave one star because I have to give something. Really, they should get no stars. I went to alfred angelo after trying on dresses at a couple other shops and being frustrated with their pushy sales routines. I fell in love with one of their dresses and my sales woman was very patient and not pushy at all so I felt good about making a decision to buy it. After they swiped the credit card, however, theyre attitudes suddenly changed and for the next 6 months leading up to my wedding I dealt with a rude, uncooperative staff. They somehow forgot to order my veil and slip with my dress, that should have been my first clue they werent going to be very good. My 4 bridesmaids all took off work and planned to get fitted on the same day and when my moh called to make an appointment for them she was told she didnt need one. Then when the day came, they were all told they needed an appointment and that they were booked that day, resulting in all the girls having to get squeezed in separately after they all cleared their schedules to meet together. Later on when their dresses came in, I ended up having to contact corporate because this store refused to steam any of their dresses, and they were all a wrinkled mess from being shipped to the store in a box. Then, when I went for my alterations, I hadnt decided on any shoes yet and didnt think it mattered since I knew for sure I was wearing flats. The alterations lady told me I needed the shoes Id be wearing in order for her to do the alterations. Long story short, I impulsively bought a pair of flats from their store so I could get the alterations done. A few weeks later, I found different shoes somewhere else I wanted to wear and tried to return the original ones and was told I needed to get permission from corporate to get a refund. I never heard back from corporate. There are no signs or anything that clearly states no refunds except the fine print on the receipt, of course after you already purchased an item. whats the harm in taking back a pair of shoes never worn? Also, makes me wonder. They wouldnt let us see or even try on our dresses until they were paid in full. Makes me think they do that so if it doesnt fit right they can say "sorry, no refunds". On the day of the wedding one of my girls put her dress on and the rest of us realized it was crooked. The zipper wasnt sewn on correctly and went diagonally down her back making the dress crooked if you zipped it straight. It took a lot of pulling and some rigging with pins to make it look ok. She was horrified and upset because she had gone by herself to try the dress on and asked the sales women if it looked alright in the back and of course they said yes it was fine. This store only cares about getting your money and strives to get the most out of you by doing as little real work as possible. Ill never suggest this store to anyone. They were my biggest stressor by far

My experience at Alfred Angelo was great, until the last fitting. Amanda who took care of me from day one is awesome cant complain about her. I went dress shopping and went through the whole experience alone since none of my family lives in the area. She was so sweet and made me feel very comfortable. So if you go to the store, please request Amanda! I promise you wont regret it! Now I am going to express how I feel about the lady who does the alterations, be ready to deal with a rude very inappropriate lady. So I believe theres only two ladies who are in charged of the alterations. I had a bad experience when I got my first fitting for the alterations. I will say it wasnt as bad as my last alteration visit. I cant remember her name but I know shes Indian, this is the only way I can describe her since I dont remember her name. Anyways, she takes me into the dressing room and as she was helping me with my dress she started to ask me about my fiance. Im Hispanic and she went directly into the a whole race conversation. Assuming since I am Hispanic, she thought my fiance is Hispanic as well. She seemed very surprised that I was with a Caucasian man. Questions like this dont bother me at all, but the way she started interrogating me and the ignorant comments she was making was very out of line. Her comment after asking about my fiances race was "so why is that hispanic girls like to marry white men? You dont see white girls marrying spanish guys that often, you know why? because white girls does not take any crap from spanish men. Hispanic girls are willing to take a lot of crap", This is half of what she told me. Later, when I took my shoes out of the bag, she said " oh my are those hooker shoes? At that point I really had to take a deep breath no to go on bridezilla mode . She later said " Wow your dress is really Hispanic like. Do you dance that stuff.. salsa, meringue? I was there for less than hour and I could not wait to get out of there! It was so disappointing and I was just amazed how someone who is in the wedding/ customer service business can be so rude and inappropriate. I will recommend Alfred Angelo only because of Amanda, the rest of the staff I will give them 1 star. Lucky I dont have to go back to this place

This store is incredible. I have worked in retail for years and this store had impeccable customer service. The first time I went, myself, my mother and a bridesmaid of mine were coming from a very bad experience at another store where I had made an appointment. When we were utterly in satisfied with not only the service but also the selection, I thought about heading over to Alfred Angelo. We obviously went with no appointment, I was prepared to not receive open arms, low and behold I walked in and was immediately greeted by smiles and welcomes. Amanda walked up to us and asked what we were looking for got to know me as a bride and really tried to understand my theme to find the perfect bridesmaid dresses. We found what we wanted and at a great price too. A few months later I went back, this time with my mother, maid of honor and bridesmaid to look at the dresses again. We walked in and was greeted by Amanda again who was not only still incredibly sweet but who remembered us months later! We talked about how my theme was more concrete and showed her the venue and then I showed her my dress. She asked how I felt about it and like any other bride whi has rushed into a dress before picking out anything, was second guessing it. She saw that I still like my dress and she didnt push for me to look at anything, I told her that I wanted to consider others now that my wedding was progressing. So she asked what I was looking feel like on my wedding day and she knew exactly what to put me in. When I was sent to the dressing room she made me feel absolutely comfortable and brought me dresses that I, in my more than curvy body, would never have the courage to try. She made me feel so beautiful. I ended up leaving the next day with a beautiful lace slip dress that to this day cant stop thinking about. My bridesmaids and mother all loved Amanda and the team she works with at the Fort Myers store they were willing to go beyond for us and really helped us find what we were looking for. I cant wait to go back for fittings, the rest of my bridal party and my accessories.
