We had a horrendous experience during our appointment this morning. I arrived with my mother and cousin to try on dresses and we were very excited as the reviews we read were wonderful. The stylist instantly showed very minimal interest in trying to find something the bride loved. She was clearly aggravated after a few dresses were tried on and it showed to all of us. My cousin stepped out of the salon as I was trying a dress on and I wanted to wait to show her because although I didnt love the fabric I absolutely loved the style. The stylist replied sharply "is there even a point in showing her if you dont love it?" Wow. My cousin then pointed out a dress she thought I would like and the stylist claimed I had already tried it on but with different sleeves. I saw it on my way out and it was something I would have been very interested in (and had not tried on) but at that point I felt very defeated and just wanted to leave. It was very clear that was exactly what the stylist wanted as well. She also made a rude comment about my figure when I voiced a concern about how a dress fit. She also did not ask if I wanted to try anything on again or if I wanted to look around the store to see if anything caught my eye. All of this within thirty minutes. Ive never been treated so poorly, especially during such an exciting time in life. I would hope this review steers any and all brides away. It was truly an upsetting, horrible experience.

I had such a great experience at Tie the Knot for my Naples wedding this past May. I had not shopped for dresses before going to Knot except for a brief stint at J Crew (the customer service at which left A LOT to be desired). However, Hillary is the real deal. She spent the first thirty minutes interviewing me, my mom, and my sister about my style, my wedding, my fiance, etc. This was so helpful because she identified exactly what I was looking for. The dress I ended up picking was one of the first 5 that I tried on, which is a testament to how valuable this initial interview is. The other thing I liked was that I had a very modest budget in the scheme of wedding dresses, and Hillary was so great at only showing my dresses that were within my budget. I was so surprised that the dresses in my budget were so beautiful and flattering, too. There really is a psychology and a process to selecting a wedding dress, and Hillary is very experienced in this. She explains to you how to keep whittling down your options so you do not feel overwhelmed. In the end, I had one of those "Say Yes to the Dress" experiences where you get emotional when you pick the dress. I know I could have found a dress at another boutique closer to where I lived in Chicago. However, it was the EXPERIENCE at Knot that made me so happy I looked near my wedding venue in Naples before going anywhere else.

I had a horrible experience at Tie the Knot. The alteration lady did not handle my dress properly and did a horrible job. I picked up my dress after the final fitting, took it out of the bag, and hung it up until my wedding day. When I put it on with all my bridesmaids and parents around, there was no hook on the dress! The dress would not stay together and fell off me. We called the store and they did not return our call for over 4 hours. Fortunately, my sister is a seamstress and had 1 hook in her kit. Our photographer took pictures of her sewing it on! NOTE: According to their policy, they will not pick up their phone if they are with customers in the store. That is what I was told. After they called me back, they argued with me and told me that I must have mishandled the dress and that it was MY FAULT the hook was not on. There was no apology, and they did not offer any compensation for this huge mistake. When I said I would not recommend them to my other friends who are getting married soon, they couldnt understand why. If you dont want good customer service and ensured quality but still want to pay a high price, this is the place for you.

After visiting 2 bridal studios and being very disappointed at the selection and experience, I took my wedding planners advice and visited Tie the Knot Bridal. I immediately felt very comfortable and the entire experience was as I had hoped from a fairytale perspective. I felt strongly that I should be the one to look through each and every dress to choose my favorites, however, instead, Hilary asked me lots of questions and then pulled styles that she felt were best for my body and style. She pushed me outside the box explaining that it is important to find the perfect foundation of a dress, then you can "decorate" it however you wish. I ended up with a beautiful silhouette and then I tailored it to my own needs and made it very unique. The selection of dresses she presented to me were all unique and different than anything I had seen anywhere else. Hilary is a joy to work with. They are very passionate about their experiences with brides and it was completely perfect.

Worst experience ever if you want to be judged as soon as you walk in the door this is the place for you. As soon as i told the lady that was working that we were on a tight budget she no longer even cared about helping us she picked out 3 ugly dresses and then told us she had nothing else that would work for our budget. We told her lower end but we didnt expect to just get treated like that. If you dont have money you dont matter to them!!!! We definitly had our pretty woman moment. I didnt have a large budget but wound up spending more for a dress i loved somewhere else. I would never recommend anyone here the lady is a snob!!!

Working with Hilary and her staff at Tie the Knot was truly a pleasure. Despite an already busy schedule, they made time for my appointment and really made an effort to make me feel special. They absolutely lived up to their reputation as dress whisperers and after asking helpful questions about my personal style and wedding plans, pulled some gorgeous gowns. I had visited several other bridal boutiques prior to my appointment at Tie the Knot, but this was the most enjoyable (and succesful!) experience of them all. This is a special place full of people who care about making each bride happy!

As MOB, my daughter and I had a wonderful experience with Hillary and Jackie at Tie the Knot! After interviewing my daughter, the owner, Hillary, brought out gorgeous gowns within our budget.Tess found The One- a perfect dress for a beach wedding. We love the store, the atmosphere (thank you for the champagne and tissues),everything! We couldnt be happier.I 100% recommend this bridal shop to anyone looking for that professional yet personal touch!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Im not sure what the bad reviews are about. This is the FIRST place I tried on dresses and I ended up finding my absolute dream dress ON SALE! The staff here even squeezed me in for a last minute appointment two days later to try on the dress one more time before I purchased. Hilary (the owner) definitely knows her stuff when it comes to styling a bride and making you look beautiful for your wedding day. :)
