Not helpful, rude, and didnt seem to even want my business. I made an appointment specifically to try on dresses (and said this on the phone) as it was my first time looking for a wedding dress and had never tried any on. I was really looking forward to seeing how I looked and felt in different styles, fabrics, silhouettes, etc. The young woman who I am assuming was the consultant was nice and patient and gave me a magazine to look through so I could show her the dresses I liked to give her an idea of which ones to pull. As I was trying to look through, the older woman who works there would not leave us alone. She was using poor sales tactics pushing packages and things I really wasnt interested in especially since I hadnt even seen what they had to offer or tried on a single dress. The older woman also made rude comments and assumptions, saying we were young and didnt have a lot of money. I am not that young, though I do look very young for my age, but if she would have actually listened she would have understood our financial situation for buying a dress, but she basically spoke non stop and interrupted me several times. It was very awkward and frankly she should reconsider how she approaches people and work on her customer service skills. After learning that I did not intend to purchase a dress that day, the older woman stated I would NOT be trying on any dresses even though the younger woman had already begun pulling some for me. She then decided I could "try on one or two". By then I had had enough. I wasnt going to waste any more of my time with someone who was making rude comments and assumptions, unwilling to listen or learn what I wanted or what was important to me, and awful sales tactics and clearly thought I was wasting their time. I decided not to let my first bad dress shopping experience at Edwards-Macy Bridal get me down and went to a different shop later that day. Though I did not intend to, the ladies there were wonderful and incredibly helpful and I did end up buying a dress that I LOVE from that shop that same day, over my budget, and will be going back for my bridesmaids dresses. Because of the older womans treatment, they lost my business, my bridesmaids business, and I will not be recommending them to anyone ever.

My future mother in law and I have been wedding dress shopping for two weeks. After a failed attempt at two other salons, I found my dress! For starters, I made my appointment day of, and they fit me in! The boutique is in the heart of downtown Lakeland and has been around for quite some time. It is so charming and is an old fashioned mom and pop shop-style boutique. Their selection is quite large and they have dresses for every budget. I was very impressed. The salon manager, Linda is so wonderful. Great customer service. I was greeted at the door by name and shown right to a fitting room while my FMIL was seated on a couch with a magazine to wait. Later in the appointment, she took her time to explain all of the purchasing options. They have a wonderful lay-away option that helped me feel less guilty about spending a little more on my dress than I could have otherwise afforded paying all at once. Besides, I found a perfect dress, I NEEDED to be able to afford it! My consultant was Jenny and she was wonderfully patient with me. From the first dress I tried on, I knew that she understood my vision. I tried a few different styles all in my budget. The experience that I received here at Edwards-Macy was what I was hoping for. I felt beautiful, cared for and even thought I have a lower than average budget, there were many dresses to try on. I was assisted by several of the ladies who were working there. I saw about three of them helping to pull dresses for me to try. It was a smooth and quick process. I said yes to my dress with several other dresses still waiting for me to try on. They have a large selection of bridesmaids, flower girl, mother of the bride dresses, and so much more. I did not get enough time to look at everything, since I was focused on my dress! Please give them your business! They are a quality business. I highly recommend them!

Im not the type to usually leave reviews, but I feel that any other bride to be should know this before going here. I have only been to one other bridal shop and figured Id give this place a try. We called and made and appt for bridal and bridesmaids dresses. First off, when you come in it smells like moth balls. Secondly, I got a rude look from two of the employees. If you are like me and are wanting a fun, exciting day with your bridal party to search for your perfect dress, dont go here. You are unable to touch the dresses. I was not aloud to physically look through the gowns and pick out what I wanted to try on, you tell them what you like and they pick it out for you. All of my party had to sit in the middle of the room and they werent aloud to look around or touch anything as well. I asked if my sister could come into the fitting room to help me change and she said no, that she would be helping me. Well, that is down right the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard of. So at that time, I felt uncomfortable, pressured and aggravated. I just want to say that at the first bridal shop I went to, my bridal party and myself walked up and down aisles and picked out dresses that we liked and my sister helped me in and out of the dresses in the fitting room, it was clean and everyone was professional and very nice. I did not feel that at Edward Macys. I hate to leave reviews like this, but MY special day was ruined after that. I was so aggravated when we left that I just wanted to go home. I am a bride to be and I want to look at different styles and textures and be able to choose what I want to try on and I should have a say so in who sees my body. I would suggest hiring a decorator and cleaning company and getting some new rules to focus on making your brides feel special.

RUDE SERVICE & FELT UNWELCOME Came in with my family (who are also members of my bridal party) to look for dresses. When we walked in we immediately felt unwelcome. We showed the sales clerk the style of dress for my bridesmaids & matron of honor. We received just one worded responses & felt unimportant. She handed us bridal magazines & told us we could sit & look through those. But of course we wanted to look around the shop and see what they had to offer as far as styles and colors. I asked the same sales clerk if we could look around at the dresses on the racks but we were told to wait. That sales clerk went to tell another sales that we wanted to look around, but it seemed it was a bother to them. We were asked when the wedding was, which is 2018. When we told her this she rolled her eyes & said "oh", she completely made us feel that we were unconvincing them, as if we were little girls playing dress up and wasting their time. It was just very rude service. Then she proceeded to ask "if we were ready to purchase today". By this point we just wanted to leave. We told them never mind, wed take our business elsewhere. Even as we were leaving out the door we heard them snickering. DEFINITELY WOULDNT RECOMMEND COMING HERE TO ANYONE
