El Dorado Furniture opened a new store in Fort Myers in November 2014. We bought a couple of weeks after their Grand Opening in December 2014 a leather section, matching tables and several other small furniture. Together with this purchase we also paid for the extra insurance for the white leather section after the sales person Jorge recommended it to us. At the end of 2015 we had a few big red stains on the leather and contacted the insurance SmartChoice in March 2016 after we were not able to get the stains out. Shortly after we filled out the claim and send the pictures of the stained part SmartChoice sent a company out to look at the damage. The subcontractor tried to clean it as well with no luck Then we didnt hear from anybody for the following 3 month. We called several times the insurance as well as El Dorado Furniture and were told they had to order the leather pieces for the exchange of one seat part and the back part of a small section of the entire sofa. Finally in September the leather arrived and another company - chosen by SmartChoice - came to us to do the exchange. Unfortunately the leather they send was not matching at all and also didnt fit. We contacted SmartChoice as well as El Dorado and brought the new leather pieces back to El Dorado. At this time we talked to Christina in Customer Service from El Dorado and were insured they will do everything to make us a satisfied customer. After weeks went by and nothing happened we went to the store in Fort Myers in person and talked to the Manager (Alex). He promised us he will do everything to help us with our problem. Unfortunately he was the biggest disappointment, hardly called back and didnt do anything. In late October (after almost 7 month) SmartChoice sent out another company to exchange with the same leather pieces which didnt fit in September. When they came to our house a 2nd time and looked at the leather they asked us if we really want to replace the leather pieces and told us they wouldnt recommend it. Of course we said no since these were the same leather pieces SmartChoice wanted to replace a few month before. It was a totally mismatch with the existing leather. 2 weeks later we received an email from SmartChoice that the claim is closed for them because we refused to let the company change the damaged leather parts. We are property manager here in the area und furnished with El Dorado 3 homes, referred other owners from us to El Dorado and bought furniture for us personally. The sales we brought to El Dorado are probably around $100,000.00 . It is very sad, that El Dorado didnt follow up on their promise to help us with our problem since we think we are a very good customer with them. The only person who tried to help us over and over again was Patricia, our sales consultant, to communicate with the management but her hands were tied. We didnt expect anything for free but at least something in exchange. All this said we decided for now not to buy any new furniture from El Dorado and also cannot recommend El Dorado furniture to anybody after this bad experience. Dont trust them if they tell you they will take care of you. And dont sign up for the extra insurance. Its a waste of money. H. & M. Bergmann Cape Coral, Florida

This place has something for every taste! If you need help decorating your home, look for Patricia King (sales) and Yadi (decor), they wont disappoint you! Patricia and Yadi are ready to assist the best way they can, they are both extremely patient, polite and very honest with opinions -they are not just trying to push merchandise that wont work for you! I had been to this store a couple of times before and seen Claudia Turner- who is also great, energetic and helpful! But after seeing Patricia, the whole idea I had about decorating changed (for the better!) and I ended up doing the entire living room and dining room with them! She had great suggestions and carefully measured everything I looked at, being sure it was a good fit for my place (dimension wise, taste wise & pocket wise lol). She got help from their decorator Yadi and turned a stressful one week no-luck search into a one day pleasant experience solution! Ill definitely be going back when Im ready to furnish the rest of the house! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because delivery was not done in the agreed window frame, and no one was home from work yet - had to leave work early and rush home (very inconvenient).

LIKE MANY I WAS AMAZED AT THE STORE AND WENT BACK TO THE STORE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE DECIDING ON WHAT I WANTED. EVERYTHING WENT FINE WITH THE TRANSACTION. AFTER RECEIVING MY PURCHASE 3-4 WEEKS WENT BY AND I NOTICED THERE WAS A PIECE THAT CAME LOOSE. I CALLED IN FOR SERVICE AT THE FORT MYERS LOCATION AND THE GIRL WHO ANSWERED SEEMED LIKE SHE NEW WHAT SHE WAS DOING AND ASKED ME TO TAKE A FEW PICTURES OF WHAT I WAS DESCRIBING. AFTER ANOTHER EMAIL TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL STATING THAT I CAUSED THE DAMAGE WITH THE WEIGHT OF MY ARMS AND THEY COULDNT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A KEYBOARD TREY THAT THE SCREWS BECAME STRIPPED OUT OF. I EXPRESSED MY DIS-CONCERN AND WHEN THINGS FINALLY WRAPPED UP THEY CALLED ME AGAIN AND SAID THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO DO A ONE TIME COURTESY VISIT. WITH THIS COMPANY TRYING TO BLAME ME FOR ONE OF THERE DEFECTS I TOLD THEM NOT TO BOTHER AND I WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT ON MY OWN. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE AND I WILL TELL EVERYBODY I MEET THE SAME STORY. I HAVE PROOF OF WHAT WAS SAID AND EMAILS TO BACK MY STORY UP.

They charged me three times for the same item - a $200 item, no less. I spoke to individuals at all levels of the company and frequently felt slighted or insulted as I worked to regain my funds. It took them several WEEKS to resolve this issue. I received one of the refunds immediately, but it about three weeks for me to regain the other two. Moreover, the item I received was also cheaply made and wobbled, so I had it returned - I should have checked the floor model more carefully; I was appalled when it was set up and wouldnt even stand up straight. But the responses I got when I called and called (they werent really forthcoming with communication to me) were managers asking me to understand their position (they were newly opened), as opposed to asking for my forgiveness. In the wake of their opening, they treated my purchase x3 like small potatoes. Id furnished my home with El Dorado in Miami, but I will never give them my business again. Complete incompetence. Horrible, inept customer service. No accountability.

Aaron Zartman was our salesman and in less than 30 minutes he had taken our order which we had some issues with the Plantation store The issue was minor but he fixed it without any problem and now this week we will receive all our furniture. He also helped us with an extended warranty. His knowledge and dedication far outweigh anybody we have dealt with in the past. And our home in Quail West Naples is very hard to furnish. He Kew everything about all styles of your products and in minutes simplified our order with care and precision. Most of all he made my wife feel at ease which goes very far with me. He is an asset to El Dorado. I will be doing more business with him very shortly Dr Jeffrey Rubin
