I love ALDI!!! They are a German company and are fashioned after European markets. They have a lot of European brands you cant get anywhere else which I love becuase they have less additives and preservatives than the US brands. Also, they have a great wine selection (an entire review by itself) but they have some Argentine Malbecs and Spanish wines that are fantastic! + They take CASH or DEBIT CARD only but they pass on the savings to the customers for not taking credit cards. UPDATE: they take credit cards now too. + You need to bring your own bags or you can buy them from them - another savings passed on to the customer + Their shopping carts use a Quarter to use but you get it back when you put the cart back - It is a cost savings in staff for getting carts out of the parking lot that they pass on to the customer Though they have limited slection compared to the MEGA stores we all have used, they have quality in house brands that either rival or even beat some of the common name US brands. Also, they have limited housewares that they rotate weekly. FANTASTIC buys: I literally just bought a 36" x 48" x 14" chrome shelf unit for $11.99... It is identical to one I got at Home Depot for $49.99 last year. This is just one example. Well worth the savings...

Yesterday a lady in front of me had a dog in a bag and proceeded to put that bag on the belt with her groceries. Then the cashier, who claimed to be the manger on duty, proceeded to pet and kiss the dog while the dog was on the belt. The cashier then attempted to ring up my groceries without washing her hands. When I asked her to wash her hands she and the dog’s owner looked at me like I was crazy. (At this point the dog was now on the counter where you bag your groceries.) When the cashier returned she attempted to put my groceries in the cart that had the dog; I asked her for a different cart. She stomped off pushing that cart away, grabbed another cart and shoved it over the register. I commented on her attitude and she argued with me that the dog is a service dog. I stated that was fine but the dog did not belong on the belt where people were putting their groceries! I questioned her attitude and she continued to argue with me. At that point, I mentioned that I was a frequent shopper, left my groceries on the belt and said I would shop elsewhere from now on. No apology...nothing - poor management. (had to give 1 star in order to post - does not deserve even 1 star)

Almost everything weve tried from here is at least as good as the big-brand name items. Im betting they are made in the same factories. And, its hard to beat eggs for 61 cents a dozen (just picked some up yesterday). The milk expiration dates actually are a lot more accurate than the milk from other stores. Just this morning, our Walmart milk was sour, and its 6 days before the expiration on the carton! The milk from Aldi never does that! During the holidays, look for the spiral-cut hams. Weve bought them for the last 2 years for extremely good prices, and they also taste very good. Win-win. Do as much of your shopping here as you can, and only go elsewhere for the things they dont carry here. One of our local Aldi stores is expanding, so there will probably be more choices soon at that one. I cant wait to go there when its done.

I like this place, though it is what it is, a low cost grocery store. You have to bring your own grocery bags or purchase them for an additional charge. You have to pay a quarter to use the grocery carts. Items are stocked on shelves in their original boxes. You wont find many major name brands. Oh, and they dont take credit cards, only debit cards. That sort of thing. All that aside, this place is nice, clean, affordable, and the employees here are very nice. I like to buy my produce here especially, very inexpensive. Give them a try if you are sick of spending an arm and a leg on groceries every week.

Best store ever. Great meat and fruit and veggies. Love all the imported products from Germany and Italy. Wonderful prices on cheeses and they have some very good Italian bread. Certain times of the year the have specialty products. I could go on forever, but it is late and I need to go to bed.

Amazed at the quality of products available. Especially canned goods, bread, chocolates and snacks. Meat choices could be better though. If you want to save money on the basics and dont care about name brand, this is the place to shop.
