Im a fan. In the early 80s I lived near this shop and they always had the most impressive flowers on display (in their admittedly small shop). In the late 80s I moved to Europe, but when I want to send flowers to someone in DC I always use them, and everyone is always really impressed with what they receive. Over the past 25-ish years everything has always arrived on time, and I have found the staff consistently attentive, helpful and sensitive to the fact that flowers need to be looked after, and so they always ask whether they should be delivered to office or home and at what hour. In my experience it always works. Highly reccommended. (My suspicion is that FTD is to be avoided... go direct to the source.)

Recently used Allan Woods Flowers for a formal corporate event. Could not be happier. Allan is extremely talented, kind, responsive, and accommodating. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL. He had no problem at all with last minute changes and on the day of the event he slipped in and out like a flower ninja - right on time, put out all of the flowers in their appropriate homes in an amazingly efficient manner, and slipped out again within 30 minutes. Wherever possible I will use Allan Woods Flowers for all of my floral needs - personal or professional.

This is a beautiful one of a kind florist. came in here last night to order something for a friend and my husband found the most gorgeous peonies which are so hard to find. They take their time and wrap the flowers in brown paper for you and make the presentation look wonderful. So glad I stumbled along this place. So lovely. Will definitely be back.

I tried to order a corsage for a very important occasion via phone and was told to call back because they were very busy". I called back, as requested, and the person said that they could not meet with me -- even for five minutes- to discuss the corsage because it is a "very busy flower shop. I took my business elsewhere.

I searched Google maps for a place near my daughter. I called directly. Dan answered and proudly told me they were rated the best by Washington Post. He was friendly and helpful. Maybe its the person and the time of day [I called at noon on a Tuesday].

Awesome florist in DC. ! They offer the best from orchids and plants to roses. they will also handle wedding flowers and corporate events and sympathy arrangements. Nothing is impossible call these people..........
