I needed a flower arrangement sent to my wifes work the same day and after reading all the reviews I thought Creative Floral Designs was the way to go. When I walked in I was greeted by a woman who helped me pick out a nice arrangement and said that it would be no problem to have one sent the same day. I figured this must be my lucky day as this flower shop can handle these types of situations. She then proceeded to take the already made display piece from the cooler and send it to my wife. I didnt really have a problem with that until today (1 day later) as all the flowers are now drooping, browning, and pretty much dying. I really wouldnt have expected these flowers to last literally 24 hours, especially from a local professional flower distributor. I have no idea how long that piece was on display for before I purchased it, although I assumed they were only examples of what they could and would readily make that day. I have learned my lesson and will make the flower arrangements myself using regular flowers bought at Wegmans. Given the price I spent, including the delivery fee, I definitely could have bought 3 to 4 bunches of flowers and made something a lot larger and that would have lasted more than a day. The 2 stars this business did earn was for the ability to do a same day order and the friendliness. I cant speak for their advanced orders, but if you need same day flowers your better bet is going to Wegmans or Giant and piecing something together.

I paid $75 on the ftd website, picked the second tier flowers (lush), and received utter cheap crap. My chosen bouquet didnt have any carnations and half the bouquet was pink carnations. The flowers were cut tiny and in a small vase, not the large one on the website. They were also covered in a sticky film, which was disgusting. This outlet included small daisies that werent in the bouquet and skimped on the roses to be cheap. This was a bouquet for my mothers birthday. Im lucky I live with her and was able to call ftd directly to complain and get half a refund. My moms also in her 50s and knows her flowers and arrangements and said this was pretty much a nursing home bouquet. You could have been delivering this bouquet to someone who was 19, and yet it looked like something for the elderly. I also arranged for them to deliver to my door and they just ignored that and left the flowers in my apartment lobby, which could have gotten them stolen. So I would rate this place as absolutely AWFUL.

I visited Creative Floral after a bad experience trying to schedule a delivery with another florist in the Burtonsville area. The people at the Tech Road location were great to work with. They were very helpful in accommodating some special requests of mine, including a change to the delivery time range that I emailed after the order had been placed. The bouquet that was delivered looked great and my wife loved it (I had to be out of town on a special day), and the delivery person did a nice job. I usually think its best to make direct contact with a florist local to where you want flowers delivered; anyone looking for deliveries in this area should consider Creative. (I noticed a previous post from someone who was upset with a bouquet ordered via FTD. Based on my experience I suspect the problem had more to do with FTD or the recipient not knowing what was ordered. For my order, the bouquet delivered was right in line with my expectations.)

Granted this is a different kind of review, since I was RANDOMLY gifted a bouqet from the owner himself whom I (me being a complete stranger) happened to walk past and was stopped to be given a bouqet he had extra on his way home, I have to say I am throughly impressed by their arrangement. To be exact, he noticed me walking behind my fiancee and handed me the vase/bouqet and told me to have it and make her day. I normally purchase my bouqets from Magellans in Gaithersburg and Creative Florals arrangement and hospitality (represented by a random act of kindess which was essentially successful marketing) has won me over. Though I am obviously unaware of the price of the arrangement I was gifted, the arrangement is full, fresh, colorful, thoughtfully put together, and what I would look for to present to a loved one. What I pay for at Magellans is overpriced and if this arrangement costs what I pay for there, Creative Florals deserves your business!

I needed a flower arrangement for a friend in a hurry. I called ahead and asked if I could come in and pick something up in person. The person I talked to on the phone (I wish I knew her name!) said that of course I could. I parked and came in the back way (accidentally) and with a chatty baby, and everyone that was there was so friendly and helpful. They let me pick a vase and I gave them creative license to create a bouquet, and it turned out nicely. Had some gerbera daisies, carnations, mini roses, babys breath, and a few others. Pretty pinks and purples. They made it right up for me while I waited (no more than 10 mins). The customer service was great, and the flowers were what I needed in a pinch. I would go back. Thank you for being helpful and earning repeat business from me!

Everything they could do wrong, they did wrong. The flowers were not the right color, wilted, and delivered in some strange box setup. The note was horribly copied, and they had a catalog to advertise their business stapled to the box! In an attempt to resolve the issues, I asked for a replacement. They said they would the same day...and two days later I had to call again to see where the flowers were. This time they made excuses as to how the flowers may look withered, but that should be expected right before they bloom, among other nonsense. They agreed to a refund, and I am still waiting to see that as well.

I ordered a bouquet of red & pink roses from FTD for our wedding anniversary and they were delivered to our house in Alexandria VA by Creative Floral Designs. The flowers were by far the best flowers that I have ever sent my wife! I never realized how beautiful roses can be until these flowers came. The bouquet was nice dont get me wrong...but it really is the quality of the flowers that has blown us away! Everyone comments on how beautiful the flowers are and the aroma is wonderful! For now on, forget FTD, or Proflowers, I will go straight to Creative Floral Designs! THANK YOU!

My daughter is currently in West Viriginia and we are in the UK. I want to thank you very much for your quick delivery to our daughter yesterday at camp canyon in Bethany. As she is so far away from us at the moment, it meant a great deal. She has sent me a photo of the flowers and they are beautiful. She was in tears when she received them. Thank you once again. What a great service! PS she gained a first class honours degree for her university course - which is the highest award you can achieve in the UK!
