My wife and I just purchased a used 2007 CR-V EX-L @ Curtiss Ryan, with low miles for an 8 year old vehicle, and a beauty to look at too...they have a great used car inventory... On 12.6.2014, with a limited cash budget, we dealt with Ed Blauvelt initially, and also Brian Zavaluk, to complete the entire process...Eds guidence and experience proved wonderful in itself.. It was an easy experience from start to finish..I would suggest Curtiss Ryan over any other Honda dealership in the area, in Connecticut... I have tried to deal with a few.. We were able to "haggle" a bit on the asking price, which to us was substantial in securing this vehicle..With the vehicles age and mileage it did not quite qualify for "certified" status under Hondas guidelines.. With us being able to "haggle" a bit on asking price, and with us adding an offered, but discounted in price additional Honda warranty, we are pleased once again with how Ed and Brian dealt with us, and all still fell into our cash budget..So yes, we purchased a 12month/12k mile extended warranty.. So in essence, in my mind we have a "certified" vehicle...It is apparent that Curtis Ryan serviced and readied this vehicle well before it was entered to the used car lot, all was very clean and even the tires had very minimal wear...The carfax also allowed us to view the substantial normal service maintenance over the last 7 years, all along the vehicles life, through 2 owners, who all bought new Honda CR-Vs... Hey, we feel certified!!!.. Especially considering, imo, these CR-Vs have such WELL KNOWN dependability and hold great resale value.. Right off the bat, the CR-V does speak well for itself, and for their listed, used car asking price anyway.... After all paperwork was done, and we had the keys and the car, as we were entering the vehicle in the rain, my wife noticed a "chip" in the windshields upper passenger area, a tiny "chip" with a bit of glass loss, though no "spidering"..It appears from the perverbial rock hitting the windshield... Barely seen by eye, but felt by her finger tip... The windshield chip, it was not noticed initially during our inspection nor theirs due to its location and since we viewed this used vehicle at dusk before deciding we were going to purchase it... When my wife notified Brian Zavoluk, before riding away into the rain, LOL, he assured us that Curtiss Ryan would "take care" of it in the next week, since this was all on a wet rainy, late day Saturday afternoon... The attention to detail, in all aspects of the sell and buy process is again noticed, It is evident that Curtiss Ryan is ALL ABOUT pleasing their potential buyers, and their secured and returning buyers, something I think that is rare in sincerity these days... This is my 5th purchase or experience buying with Curtiss Ryan over 38 years, starting with a Honda Civic, new in 1976, and then 4 CR-Vs, all bought used, since and through 2014... Do we keep returning to Curtiss Ryan,???.... YOU BET WE DO...With that much sincere and continous great service over many years, wouldnt you? Kudos to Curtiss Ryan of Shelton Connecticut, Kudos to Ed and Brian... !!! Get over the Curtiss Ryan if a "great" used, or new Honda is your goal.!! G Christopher DuBois

WORST experience in service at Honda dealer ever. Had a scheduled maintenance about 9 months ago here before a road trip, even though the charge is very high, $600 bucks check thoroughly, I believe their service should match the good review. I was TOTALLY WRONG. One day after I walked out their door, I found strange noise when I was steering. Asked them to check if everything was right because I have never heard the noise before their service. I doubt its their fault at service. They found nothing, and simply insisted it was nothing related to their service. Not a single word to comfort me or dismiss my doubt. What made me even angry was after a second check they thought the noise was due to a "bad body work" I had done long time ago. I had been driving for 6 months with the "bad" and heard nothing during driving. If the noise came from the body work, I should have noticed since it was not negligible. I asked the service manager to diagnosis and call me to confirm anything that would be done to my car to fix the problem. Only receiving a call saying the job was complete. WTF, I didnt even agree to any kind of service, only diagnosis. The service manager, John, was the most RUDE person in the US I have ever seen. KEPT YELLING at me during his phone call and frequently INTERRUPTING my words, keeping me from speaking a complete sentence. THREATENED me to detain my vehicle if I didnt pay for the service they already performed! NEVER seen a person, especially the service manager as rude as him as well as a customer service experience WORSE than here. Never visit here again. I didnt find why the noise happen until I had oil change last week at Courtney Honda in Milford, CT. They found the problem AS SOON AS they were driving my car into the workshop, telling me that the front Sway Bar Links were loose that need to be replaced. And I verified that the noise bothered me for almost a year was ABSOLUTELY the fault of service. Strongly recommend Courtney to anyone in need of service. The problem should have been resolved 9 months ago As a Curtiss Ryan Hondas customer, I have been in danger, risks and worries for the rest of 2016 because their bad service and WORST customer service attitude. "This is what American way of doing business," John shouted to me over the over with the confidence and proud from nowhere. If such a bad service and attitude is the "American way of doing business," US businesses are impossible to survive by now. You cannot represent the US with your own bad temper and bad work!

By far the Best Honda Dealership We were shopping for a new 2014 Honda Accord in early April. We were looking around and really liked what we were hearing about the new Accords. We had dealt in the past with other dealerships who take almost a hostile approach when you actually sit down with them and do any negotiating. Our experience at Curtiss Ryan was much different. Brian Zavoluk was the salesman who took us for a very interesting test drive all the way down to Bridgeport pretty much due to how friendly and knowledgeable Brian was and just lost track of time. Brian answered every question we had on the car and there was no pressure to buy he wanted us to be happy with the vehicle, which we were. We were actually not planning on buying a car that day, but because of a number of reasons we did. Every single step of deciding on a reasonable price was dealt with in a very professional manner, and they were very open to what we had to say. We did our research on the price we should pay for this vehicle and Brian Zavoluk and Kim Ryan put together a deal which we just could not say no to. So there you have it, this is the third car weve bought from Curtiss Ryan, because they are the easiest to deal with and they wont cheat you. Curtiss Ryan does not play the games that other dealerships do, they are in the business of great service and customer satisfaction. Brian, Kim and all the people we dealt with at Curtiss Ryan have exceeded our expectations and more than likely gained a customer for life
