After weeks of distraction, I was finally able to do something I havent done in ten years... I put a car up on jack stands! I greased all the fittings(couldnt find 2 of them, but will keep looking), pulled the front wheels off for better access, and marveled at the new suspension! New upper and lower A ams. Uprights, springs, shocks, steering idler arm... wow!. The underside is exactly as described. All original, no rust, no signs of floor welding or replacement. The fender wells are remarkable. I havent yet registered her (waiting for proof of insurance) but I threw an old plate on and terrorized the neighborhood for a few minutes. Shes a delight. I practiced erecting the hood, and after a half hour sweating and panting, promised myself I need to practice more. Anyway it gave me a chance to properly stow the top as per the manual that was so thoughtfully provided. I bought a lead hammer over the net, and a good Porsche friend bought me one as a gift. The last time I put a hammer to a car was one of my old VW beetles! Its good to be working in the garage again.

Walking into New England Classics is like walking into a an old car museum - wood floors creak, the musty smell of grease is in the air, and there are so many cars, you feel like a kid in a candy store. Marc proved quite knowledgeable about all his vehicles and patiently answered my questions about them. A glance under the hood readily shows that not every car is a total 100% restoration, but I suppose staying competitive comes with a price of its own. When asked about some of the negative comments seen online, he admits that problems have popped up - but in his words, "What do you expect from a 50 to 60 year old vehicle?" One can see that the most desirable options are chosen for these machines - wire wheels, chrome bumpers and modern amenities are the order of the day. I didnt see even a scratch on ANY of the cars. There may have been some parts left lying around the show room, but it just goes to show its an active shop. All in all, this is a great place to go see - and maybe even test-drive - some gorgeous European sports cars.

I am beyond delighted with the car, you were right, it looks like a gem. It arrived dirty, but in perfect condition with no scratches, dents, etc. What a relief! Driving home I didnt get past 2nd gear, and I can tell that the car will really fly. It is amazing sitting so low, you are almost on the pavement, and you do feel as if you are going faster than you are. Im getting it registered/insured in a few days and then will drive around Carmel and work on my stick shifting. I havent driven a stick shift in about 20 years. The gearbox is nice and tight, as you said. Thanks for the information and the nice Lotus keyfob in the glovebox. Especially thank you for giving me a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a dream machine.

You are so friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive (and total integrity, a rare thing anymore). You are one of the only people I would consider purchasing a car from on the Internet. I am really enjoying the great JVC stereo you put in, too, it is really nice. The interior is hard to believe after 32 years! You and I lucked out and made a good connection on this deal. I wish I were not 3,000 miles away, I would love to tour your showrooms (someday). Anyway, everything great so far, I will keep in touch, and I will certainly recommend your dealership to everybody.

I wanted to take the time to thank you for the fantastic experience I had buying my 1973 MGB from you. It is really nice to work with a professional, as well as someone so straightforward. I had misgivings about working with someone outside of Canada, but having met you in person, I knew that things were going to work out fine. I also had concerns about bringing the car in from the United States, but your support made that significantly easier also.

I appreciate all of Marcs hard work. It was such a joy driving my 73 MG back home today, it drives like a dream, looks fabulous and is literally a completely different car than the one I dropped off here just a few weeks ago. It is now the car I have always dreamed of owning and Marc has made a middle aged, Connecticut based Englishman very happy! I don’t get excited about much, but today was truly an exception!

I am new to South Carolina, having retired here this past summer. I told a friend about the car I am buying and he took me to a shop not 2 miles from my home and introduced me to Patrick, the shop owner. He is very experienced in maintenance and repairs to English cars and has worked on a few cars sold by you over the years. He had nothing but good things to say about the cars!

Your description of the car was spot on. Your approach to customer satisfaction was professional in every way but you were at times able to maintain a personal touch which is so very important to a classic car buyer. I look forward to working with you again in the future and will be sure to recommend your fine organization to my collector friends. Keep up the Great Work.

Things have been going well so far with the car. Unloading was easy. Got it MA inspected. And drove it around the day after I picked up the car. Its a blast to drive. Love it. I am very happy. Even if the weather isnt great right now and its most of the time in the garage. But spring will come.

I cant thank Marc enough for his assistance in my choosing the Healey. I hadnt driven one since college, it runs great and has been one huge thrill ride. Todays kids will never know! The CD player is also a great touch and it is nice to know I have the backup fuel pump installed just in case.

Together, we learned some interesting lessons on the nuances of exporting a car from the US. That said, you were patient and helpful with the process, resulting in me spending less than 5 minutes in the US Export Control office on the way home. Thanks again for your help there.

I really enjoyed meeting Marc and him taking the time to show me around. I could have stayed all day! I think his suggestions around an external jump start point, back up petrol pump and radiator cooling are all good additions as well as the work on the springs we discussed.

The fact is, Marc Evans is a crook and an un-professional one at that. I implore anyone considering to do business with him to rethink it, as there are better/cheaper deals out there, not to mention the possibility of being ripped off.

Got the TR3A today, and it certainly appears to be everything it was billed to be. Took it for a spin around the neighborhood in the 100 degree heat, and it is nice and tight and punchy. I thank you. I am happy with the trade.
