I had a bad experience here. I was here late and bought a lot of groceries. There was no one at the checkout, and everyone was forced to use the self-checkout. The self-checkout system is just not designed to handle 100+ items. It was very buggy, and took a very long time (30+ minutes). After many items were piled up, it started crapping out and calling the "help" person every 2-3 items, claiming that I removed an item from the bagging area. Also, the person who was supposed to help me, was not really helping. I was tired and late to my next destination. Also, they only had paper bags with no handles, which made carrying groceries home a disaster. Nobody offered me a reusable bag or any other option. On the good side, the quality of stuff here is nice.

City Market is one of two major grocery stores in the Vail area. This is a full size store with everything you need (grocery wise). The prices are about the same as what you would expect to pay anywhere else. The service at the meat, bakery, deli and customer service counters are fast and friendly. Since Vail is considered a "rich" area the clearance section of this store was overflowing with unbelievable deals that just couldnt be passed up. Good place to get grocery items while staying in Vail and or surrounding areas.

I am a homeowner in EagleVail. I shop at this store because of the excellent customer service at all times, cleanliness and fresh foods. The outdoor plants for summer are also very nice and well cared for. The clerks at check out are over the top with kindess and any concerns you may have...which are none. The customer service counter was incredibly polite, professional, and accommodating towards me in what would have otherwise been a difficult situation and even gave me excellent advice to keep it from recurring next time. Im a regular and while some of the staff there can be overly suspicious and annoying the customer service desk is always top notch.

For Vail Valley, this is the best grocery store here. Huge selection and more inside. Everything you need at reasonable prices ...but... Dont go shopping for a lot of items before they close, youll be forced to use self checkout which takes forever...

I am very unimpressed with the Vail City Market. Some of the employees are arrogant and condesending. I shop at the Woodland Park City Market weekly and have never encountered employees as I did in Vail

My personal favorite grocery in Vail. The store is huge with a separate liquor store in the store itself. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly although they usually dont have enough check out lanes open.
