It is my Safeway store... The store tries very hard, but it is an older store, and not very big compared to other Safeway stores. My biggest complaint is that Safeway upper management comes in 3-4 times per year, and restructures the way the store is suppiled. The bakery is pretty good for a smaller store, meat department is pretty well stocked according to customers needs, the deli is ridiculosly over priced, and many of the people opt for Walmart instead. The produce is often of lesser quality, and noticeably lesser grades of fruits. Smaller apples, ground fruits peaches, and citrus. Cheese and dairy is always very well stocked, and probably the most reasonably priced department in the whole store. Canned items being the most overpriced. No other grocery stores without taking at least a 50 mile drive (round trip) to next closest store, which is of course another Safeway in Winslow. All in all...its ok. The Safeway in Show Low is much better even inhaving a seafood counter, vs Safeway in Holbrook having only a seafood shelf. I wish that Safeway would build a more modern Safeway with a gas station, pharmacy, and Starbucks. Even if they had to choose another location.

My wife was accosted by a drunk Indian near the Deli panhandling for money. I reported the incident to the Assistant Manager. She said that she had been trying to get rid of him all day. I then asked why she just didnt call the cops. No reply. Its bad enough to be accosted in the parking lot all the time by panhandlers, but for it to happen in the store, is unacceptable!

food section were almost hard to find, some food are more expensive and couldnt find what I was looking for, plus wanted to ask one of the retail person but sort of change of mind, not very familiar with store change their food section, and I usually come to Safeway store once a month or just passing through.

Awesome gathering of local silversmiths. The Son of the actual chief runs the biggest store, some nice custom work and actual artefacts. Very reasonable prices and a nice place for a picture. Pop in and support some good people who have been trading there for a hundred and ten years.

Helpful & nice employees. We went in there because Google indicated there was a Starbucks inside their store. That is NOT true. Safeway employee said other travelers have stopped in & asked the same question. He said there is no Starbucks in Holbrook!

Its the only store in town. The workers are all very kind but many times the store does not have the product you are looking for and the isles are almost always way to congested with product making it hard to maneuver around the store.

Awful experience. the checkout lines were long had to wait 20 mins ended up having to leave my cart or be late back to work only 2 cashiers at 12:00 noon bad service!!!

We always stop here while traveling along I40. Best place to grab some snacks, since theres really no good restaurant options in the town.
