Store policy is no pets of any kind unless they are a service animal. However, I see multiple pets in the store and never have I seen an employee address this issue. in fact the store manager himself told me that it is ongoing issue! I asked him why it was an issue if it was policy and he said that his employees didnt want to offend the dog owners! So he wont enforce store policy because he doesnt want to offend people?! And this guy supposed to be a manager?! Management is the last thing he can do. I dont want dog hair on my produce myself, they are breaking store policy knowingly and willingly, and Im going to guess that this is an OSHA issue as well. Shame on them! The manager also gave as an excuse to me that other stores let dogs in also. Thats not a goddamn excuse for not doing your job! I hate these weak people who cant do their job and make up lame excuses for not being able to.

This store is clean and the associates are nice, but I found numerous expired products on their grocery and meat department floor. Unfortunately I didnt realize until the next day. I called the store to let them know whet products they were so they could check the remainder. Later today I needed to grab something and figured Id check to see if they took the products off the floor. They had not. Products were on average 3 months out of date some caned/bottled goods had year 2015 . I pulled them and brought them up front and told the "office manager" that they were a year old (cause 2015 was the year) and she actually argued the date. Im new to the area but to me anything out of date isnt safe. Everyone is human and I can understand something being a day or 2 out of date, but this was terrible.

Just a neat store! Pros: This store always has my favorite brands in stock. The convenience of a few items like the ATM machine and the RedBox located up front is definitely a plus. I particularly like the way the customers were treated when the registers briefly went out-of-service. A clerk from the bakery offered everyone freshly baked cookies. What a great way to keep me and others from leaving our items and walking out. This store is always neat and clean as well. Cons: Theres always a little bit of a line. Even when the store first opens. Otherwise, a very good grocery store at this location.

the personnel in the deli are the most incompetent I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I complained about the girl Chris S and they did nothing. She was the worst. She acted as if she didnt want to help me and had better things to do. I will never shop at that store again and it is extremely (1 block) close to my house. I will either go the one at U of A or switch to Albertsons.

Dont go to the Starbucks here they are so unprofessional and rude! I ordered a drink today and because the lady is not focused she goes "a what??" Then she proceeds to say I dont even know how to write that no one orders that ....? Okay thats so annoying. And proceeds to say how unpopular it is ... What is the dam. Point.

In the past Ive had plenty of issues with the Safeway chain of grocery stores, but I have zero complaints with this store. Every single employee Ive had an interaction with there have been courteous and helpful 100% of the time. They are extremely consistent with their attentiveness and honestly I love shopping there.

On the surface this Safeway is alright. Always dirtier and messier than most other Tucson Safeways. The restrooms are disgusting, but thats primarily due to vandals and inconsiderate patrons, not the store staff. Prices are a bit higher than the competitors. Otherwise its business as usual as far as Safeways go.

Amazing! The Catalina mountains are a trip to another world. Passing through many biomes from the desert to pine and aspen forests, the road to the top is ripe with city and mountain views. Running streams, hiking trails, rock formations await!

Older store with no self check-out. Prices here are double of what they are at Frys on a good portion of items. While this is the closest store to my house I would rather go out of my way for a better deal and better service.

Stopped for some sliced meat from the deli...that was excellent. Picked up a package of pastrami from the pre-packaged selection, and found that it was expired before we purchased it! Not going back anytime soon.

Service was so friendly! The store even though outdated looking. Ive found my new Safeway! The bakery at the FRYs where I live is ALWAYS out of fresh bread. Ill drive out of my way to come back. Thank you guys

Eh... Safeway often has sales but considering they are overpriced in the first place, it is rarely a true bargain. Employees are neither rude or friendly. All in all its better than Walmart but its just ok.

Great place to shop, Excellent selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Friendly and helpful employees. BTW they do have an in-store Starbucks to satisfy any coffee-related needs.

This is a large Safeway with pretty good assortment of cooked foods and baked goods. The shortbread cookies are tasty. Small make-up and vitamin selection. Starbucks inside!
