Not much going on in Corning, but this Safeway was my main hub for needs during my 8 month stay here. It scores high for having a lot of sales, and nice cashiers. That being said the deli area staff can be fairly rude. When they are not being rude I would often get a nasty stare or was spoken to shortly by the ladies there. I try to be friendly but perhaps no one wants to smile when making a breakfast burrito?

This would have been 5 stars 6 months ago, but ..... Now there are long lines at checkout, not enough help. Took 35 minutes waiting in line before we even got to the checkstand!! Ice cream was melting! Unless the store can be adequately staffed, (Im not waiting 30 minutes to check out )m shopping elsewhere. Staff are great , friendly and informative!

My favorite checker at Safeway in Corning, CA is Toni Parkins! I am a person who doesnt care much for shopping, but Toni always brightens my day when I see her. She is so friendly and makes me feel comfortable, and she is excellent at her job. After going through her checkout line I always feel cheered up, and I leave with a big smile!

I went in here to use the restroom and grab a beverage for the road. The bathroom was disgusting and the cold drink selection was very small. I ended up going elsewhere to get my drink. Other than that the store seemed clean and the staff was friendly.

Never any shopping carts available for customers so if shopping for a big family drive up to sav more always a line with 3 or more people. Perks store is clean and you can use your club card to save on gas. Just wish there are shopping carts available

Another of the many clean , well stocked and friendly Safeway stores. Enjoyed shopping there while we were in town in our rv. Might go back tomorrow. Safeway has long been a California fixture and this one was top notch as well.

Probably one of the most corrupt businesses Ive ever experienced in Corning, CA. Management there is a complete joke, Ive witnessed many instances of law breaking. This place seriously needs to be checked out.

Prices are to high, selection is scarce, produce doesnt have good shelf life if any. Only reason I shop here is because it is more convenient then driving to red bluff to food maxx or chico to winco.
