This is my neighborhood store and it is absolutely the WORST Safeway I have ever shopped in, and Im not fond of Safeway overall. The customer service is virtually non-existent. Plan on the express lane taking, oh, twenty minutes and the regular or self-check out lines are equally bad. The manager seems to be indifferent at best. The selection is poor and the shelves are not fully stocked all the time. Navigating with a cart is next to impossible as the aisles are very narrow. All that said, it is clear that the people manning the registers are doing the best they can, even though they seem to be kept perpetually short-staffed. Sadly, I have to go there now, on Christmas eve, because I forgot to buy yeast yesterday. This should take about an hour out of my life, when it should take about ten minutes.

My neighborhood Safeway. Its so convenient to have a neighborhood grocery store that closes at 2am. I work late night shifts and never have time during the day to run my errands so a place like this really is a blessing. From cough drops to frozen pizza to doughnuts to veggies, this is my go to spot for everything. Its so convenient to be able to load all the coupons onto your account using the app on your phone as well and it makes my shopping experience that much easier. Its been my childhood grocery store and hopefully it stays around for generations to come! The prices are fair, the staff is professional, and its got a parking lot! Cant complain here!

At the Starbucks coffee bar I ordered an iced mocha, which they charged me $3.70. The price on the board said $2.80. They told me the price went up, but if that was the case, they should have changed the price on the board. Only two days ago, at another Safeway Starbucks in Daly City, I was charged $2.80. I think that at this Starbucks on Noriega St. the baristas charge what they feel like. The manager of this Safeway should straighten this out. I buy a lot of coffee at the Starbucks Safeway store, but will go elsewhere for my coffee in the future. This was for a tall iced mocha, purchased today, 7/2/14.

As close to an automated grocery store as Ive seen. Stock (eg milk, produce, meat) is often depleted (to the point that after 5 pm one is better served going to the La Playa store.) Service at flowers, bakery, and deli is almost non-existent and when available comes with a line of at least five. And (unless buying alcohol) the six self check registers are the only option due to the constant dual ten people lines (of people buying alcohol.) On a routine basis I literally go out of my way to not have to go to this store.

Open sort of late, but its out in the deep neighborhood, so you cant fault them for that. The one time there was an issue was when Safeway was running their "3s a crowd" campaign where if theres more than 3 people waiting in line to pay, they will open up another register. Well this one time that didnt happen so someone took a picture of the line and the staff said that hes not allowed to take photographs in the store. A few weeks later, I notice that the "3s a crowd" banners were removed.

Prices are decent - the food is not all that healthy unless you are in the produce section. Fine for bulk kids snacks and the frozen baby shrimp is well priced. The meat seems to often be on the verge of expiring. Organic Milk is cheaper here. I still prefer the andronico fresh vegetables - too bad Safeway bought them. The stair well and elevator always smell like urine. I prefer not to come here. The Fulton street location is much cleaner.

Their sales prices are often not correct. You need to check the receipt carefully each time. I have 6 incidence this year that they charged the regular price for an item. That is when I happened to question the receipt, what about the times that I just trusted them? I am almost to the point of no return with them. If you can not trust that the prices are correct, then it is not worth shopping there!

Managers office girl was nice, and easy to communicate with. But there was some aingst going on between two African-Americans. The bossiest one not bothering to tell deli customers they needed to go wait in the line. That infuriated one customer who walked off. The line-up position is not marked so every new person to the Deli area has to be told where to go and wait.

They usually dont have very long lines at the times i go. They give you good service and ive never had any of the staff be anything but helpful. Parking can b a challenge during certain times of day but if your patient its not much of an issue. Im starting to shop more at this Safeway than the beach Safeway now.

The location is across the street from Cheung Hing. Go to place for Chai Siew/BBQ pork, Siew Yuk/Roast pork, Siew Op/Roast duck, Sze Yow Gai/Soy sauce chicken, etc. They roast turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Place and garnish on a platter for presentation! Dont forget to purchase all your groceries!

This is a smaller Safeway, but they have a decent selection of produce and other items. Parking isnt usually an issue here, so its great if you just need to pick something up fast. They do have a self checkout option though, so thats a perk. Other than that, its pretty much your average Safeway.

Standard Safeway. Parking is almost always full out front but the rooftop parking hasnt failed me yet. There is a Starbucks inside in case you need a little pep in your step. The fish department is surprisingly small for the size of the Safeway but everything else is about as to be expected.

Safeway as a chain is pretty lowest-common-denominator and their requirement of a loyalty card for anything significantly on sale is annoying. Park on the roof of this Safeway, the front lot is frequently a morass. Not the neatest or biggest selection for a Safeway.

Love this Safeway. Good customer service. Usually good parking. Some of the seasoned cashiers are a little intimidating with scowls & grim expressions, but none are overtly rude. No Safeway is perfect, though, & this one could use a better whisky selection.

Typical Safeway. Staff is generally friendly. This place caters to people that speak Cantonese, which reflects the neighborhood. The place could probably be cleaner. Parking is on the roof. It can be crowded during peak times.

Lots of selection, cheap milk. Sometimes lines are long in the mid day. Self checkout takes too long because the machine always malfunctions and there is only one person to help

I went to Safeway today and witnessed one of the employess use the womens bathroom and not wash her hands. Disgusting! Hope She wasnt from Deli or pastry Department ugh.

They intentionally under staff their checkout stands to save money resulting in constant long lines. You will spend a minimum 20 minutes in line, thats on a good day.

The location is very busy, its a smaller than normal store. It has a good variety of products for its compact size. There is always a line, the cashiers are very nice.

Its a Safeway, what else to say. Its a big one so it has a great collection. Starbucks inside as well as self-checkout lanes. Parking can be a problem when its busy.
