If i could give more than 5 stars I would. The owner is more than helpful. I brought in an older used gourd saw i had bought from a friend. I brought it to him so he could tell me about the equipment. he rewired the saw and gave me a new updated transformer for it. He took the time to teach me the correct way to use it and even gave me some free blades and a tool bag. WOW! The greatest customer service ever! Did not charge me a dime.

Ive been going to the Caning Shop for some years now. There is every kind of gourd imaginable and plenty of books for instruction on crafts, etc. This is in addition to the caning services performed there for people who bring in their chairs, etc. for repair. But others should realize just how much else is there for them to feast their eyes on and purchase.

As a omnivorous crafter and basketry dilettante, I cannot speak for all basket makers or chair weavers, but they more than adequately supplied my fibre-y needs, although I was hoping for more tangentially related books like jewelry made with basketry techniques and the like. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
