This was the first time Ive been to this store and Im giving it three stars because overall, the store was nice and had a good amount of product but the customer service I received from an employee by the name of Carlie (caucasian, brunette) was pretty bad. I was looking for a specific paper pad (18x24) and was in the correct isle but couldnt find the product. "Carlie" was walking up the isle so I came up to her, explaining what I was looking for and asking politely if they carry that item. She slapped her hand down on her leg like she just didnt want to be bothered with. Then she didnt respond and just started looking at the drawing pads and was very short with me, acting like my question was such a hassle. She explained saying how no, they only have the smaller size and just started walking away from me before I could say anything else. I said "Oh okay, well thank you!" to which she responded rudely, "Mhm." In my opinion, her customer service sucks and she should just be stocking shelves instead of helping customers. I was helped later on by a male employee who showed me another option for the product I wanted to buy, so I appreciate that!

This place may have adequate supplies but the customer service is terrible. I went there to buy varnish, a frame and a mat for a painting. I asked if I could use their cuter to resize the mat I had just bought. I was led to a piece of equipment and shown how to use it. The cutter did not work and damaged the mat beyond usability. Of course the store offered no refund, staff was completely uninterested in what happened, bordering disrespect, did not offer any advice or any apology for letting me use an equipment that was not appropriate for something they had just sold me. I will never set foot there again, and would advise others to look for other stores as well.

This is for the big Blick in Oakland. I absolutely love this store. The certainly do not skimp on the art supplies. They have basically everything you could ever need. I do a bit of silkscreening and they got what I need. I do a bit of ceramics and they got what I need. I do a whole lot of drawing and painting, and they got a whole lot of what I do and dont need. In fact, that is the only problem. Every time I go here I find things that I cannot resist buying and that I do absolutely not need. Oh well though, better an art supply addiction than a shoe addiction.

I can usually find what I need. The staff is pretty knowledgeable and helpful. People talked about it being expensive, have you ever been to the craptastic Michaels? I think the prices are pretty good. Could always be better. Mold making stuff is expensive. If you find them occasionally rude, you try working in the service industry. These guys are swell.

Great place for artists to get their supplies. Store is well-stocked and clean. Service is dicey depending if workers are tending others. Basically you dont need any help if youre a artist and know what to look for. Parking is plenty near Broadway Terrance.

They sent out a coupon by mail for 50% off on custom framing . When I arrived at their Oakland store ( 5301 Broadway) the manager didnt know anythinga about it and said they didnt even have a custom framing department. Last time I go to Blicks!!!!

I go to California college of the arts and they dont have a lot of supplies you need for my projects sometimes. However the staff us nice an help a lot with out asking. All you have to do is look confused an they will come to the rescue

This blick is such a nice little place. They have a bunch of supplies and stuff and its like so great. Definitely a lot different than the one in SF (which is very intimidating and big). Love coming here & u should too!

Some of the staff were very helpful! When I went to check out my items, I had to keep repeating how to spell my last name (I didnt have my blick card) and I could tell that the person was getting annoyed with me.
