Terrible experience in dealing with this shop. Two failed attempts in arranging to rent a demo bike. The second (and final) time I did all of the coordination myself by calling and confirming the bike is available at one of the other stores. I then called this shop and told them the bike is available, and had them contact, confirm, and arrange with the other shop to have it delivered. The last words from the guy on the phone was "okay, youre all set. Just stop by tomorrow afternoon and it will be here to pick up". Stopped by the next day and was met with total cluelessness, and a guy with a smug attitude telling me "yeah, its not here...". After explaining my story, he just gave me that smug look that says "oh well, sucks to be you". Literally said nothing and shrugged his shoulders. Oh well, sucks for you guys that I will be demoing and buying my bike at another shop.

Worst customer service of any bike shop I have ever dealt with. Took my bike there for a long overdue tuneup. After two days they called me to tell me the bike was ready. I asked them what they found wrong and their response was that the back gearset was a little worn but otherwise all was good. This bike is 7 years old and after pointing out that I knew for sure the rear disk rotor was worn, the brake cables were exposed and rusting and the front fork has never been touched they said theyd take a second look at it. 3 weeks later I still never received a call back. Went into the store to get my bike and they still had done nothing more with it. Charged me 75 bucks and went on their way. I will never go back and suggest you do the same. Better to do the work yourself.

I bought a bike here for my daughter. They had it shipped from the other store, and said they would call me when it arrived. Well, it took twice as long as they said and I never got a call. I had to go there on a whim hoping it was there and it was....but they had to put it together. The entire experience they acted like they were doing me a favor by selling me something. Despite this I went there to buy another bike for my other daughter. I was there almost 15 minutes and...crickets. Not one person came to help or even acknowledged my existence. Im done with this place.

I havent experienced much at this store other than going in and poking around a little but I can tell the employees are knowledgeable and very amicable. If it was between Jax and RR cycle I would choose Rock and Road for larger selection and lower prices(from what I have experienced) Edit: After a few weeks of regular shopping I can confirm that Rock and Road is the best bike store I have ever been to. Everytime I go in I have my questions answered, no matter how obscure or odd they seem. Always have the part I need and couldnt ask for better service. Seriously. Awesome.

I have purchased three bikes here and had all of my bike needs which include tune up modifications upgrades done through either Ed or Robert Freeman. Very happy with the outcome of all of my dealings with this company and their personable staff Ive also been to two of their other stores in the Irvine area for emergency parts and they always come through for me and I can continue on my plans with that bike ride for the day

I tried this store after a very bad experience at a different bike shop in my area. Went in, was immediately greeted with a smile, and asked how they could help me. I told him the size and kind of tube I needed. The guy knew it and had it, and charged me a very reasonble price. Shop was busy and they attended to *everyone* this way while I was there. What more could you ask for? Ill definitely go back.

Parking lot is a nightmare, How ever designed that parking lot needs to be fired. The shop overall was clean and nicely laid out. The service I got however was closer to mediocre, seems like the dude just wanted to leave work and was very short in response to my questions. Insane selection of bikes... Disappointed on their selection of accessories as they seemed to cater to only a select few brands.

Great experience here. Chris Baker who is only there weekends was the person who attended to me. Smart, knowledgeable, non-judgemental person. Im a big guy(300lbs) but active guy. So the non-judgemental part is not always there for big boys looking to buy a hybrid bike. And Chris was so very helpful in helping me choose the right bike for me. Thanks Chris!

I did bike fit from them two years ago. During the fit, the person told me that I may get backache until my body get adjusted. For past two year, I was keep getting backache almost every other month, and prevent me from riding. After two years, I decided to go back to my original setting. Its been three months and NO MORE backache.

Bought a bike here a few weeks back during a tent sale. Staff were friendly enough, a tad pushy on up-sale. My biggest complaint is the disorganization. Bikes to be serviced or sold are everywhere along the counter. Some staff are not terribly welcoming, making you kinda sit there and wait for an interaction.

I have bought 3 mountain bikes from them now and love this place. Ed the manager and all the staff for that matter are super helpful. I broke my stem cap nut on Memorial day and they were the only ones open. I rushed there and they not only had it they didnt even charge me.

Went to get our jogging stroller tires repaired and changed out. They were so friendly when we walked in and helped us right away. Very reasonable priced tubes. We will be going back to them very soon for another tire tube change out. :)

Im not a local, but when Im in the area I like to stop in and stock up on GU and energy gels. Friendly staff. I would definitely b use this as my LBS if I lived in town.

This place is amazing! They have varieties of bikes and is very clean. However, the downside would have to be the service. When they tune up a bike it is quick.
