Empire Bikes is a testament to the lost art of honest, personal service only found in brick-and-mortar shops. In a day and age when gimmicky online e-tailers couldnt possibly know or care any less about the two-wheel widgets theyre peddling (or the customers buying them, for that matter), it makes all seem right with the world to still be able to walk into a shop for the first time, be handed a cold beverage and made to feel like an old friend while an expert takes the time to treat your bike as if it were his own. The service manager, John, and suspension guru, Jose, are great guys who practice what they preach and stand behind their work—and actually advise against spending extra dough when it doesnt make sense. Empire is the kind of shop youll find yourself stopping in just to see the guys and geek out anything two wheels, even if you dont need anything, and that speaks volumes as to the level of service youll receive here when you do need it.

I LOVE this shop!! I bought my Giant road bike here. Prices are competitively and I am pleased with my purchase. They carry a good selection of high quality products. I was able to test ride several bikes before making my purchasing decision. Staff helped me chose the bike that is perfect for me. The fitting was amazing. I was able to take my bike back until it fit me perfectly. I highly recommend being fitted for your bike at Empire Bikes by Rock. He is a true expert. But the best part is the support I have received as a novice cyclist. The owner (Rock) is an expert on bikes and cycling and is always willing to help me to learn about my bike and the sport. The mechanics are amazing- they have fine tuned my bike to perfection and it rides like a dream. I would not let anyone else touch my bike but Empire Bikes. Questions are always welcomed and I feel very comfortable going to them for my every cycling need.

Took my bike in for service and it came out worse then when i brought it in. Mainly my brakes. I brought the bike in for a BASIC tune up and when i got the bike back the rear brakes did not have any stopping power. I brought it up with John there mechanic and he automatically get offensive and said i just need new brakes because these ones are crap. He then showed me some brake options and when i told him that they ran fine before he continue to mention that i need to STEP IT UP and get new ones. I then paid for a brake tune up (flush and bleed) and came back with the same problem. He then wanted me fix the piston in the brake handle for another $40. I thought to myself that he must be scamming me. So i got my own bleeding kit and did it myself and not so surprise that my brakes are running fine again. I found a good amount of air and dirt in it. THIS PLACE IS SHADY. I wouldnt trust them is a HUFFY.

Guys let me tell you about this gem of a bike shop I found! I have been to about 5 different bike shops and this by far has to be the best one yet. In a world where customer service is a dying art, this has to be the rockstars of such art, they totally exceeded my expectations from the get go! I went in to buy a hybrid bicycle to replace my old roadbike and they were able to help me find something suitable/comfortable for my needs and in my price range. apart from that they offer free lifetime service on your bike, not many bike shops do that. Keep in mind this shop is about a 20 minute drive from my house, nonetheless I will make the extra drive just to see these folks as I value customer service greatly! Extremely happy with my purchase and hope to do business with this shop in the near future.

Excellent Service! Great Selection! Great value and prices! Very friendly atmosphere. If they dont have something they can usually get it the following day as they did for me. I live in OC and pass by a lot of bike shops to go here because their prices are reasonable... and their service is next to none. No one will touch my bike but the folks at Empire. Bought a 2013 Scott Scale 910 and have been EXTREMELY happy with it, they took the time to hear what kind of riding I like doing and per their reccomendation I bought this bike. Cant tell ya how happy I am with it! I highly recommend at least going in and saying hello, they are very friendly and also have weekly rides whether it be mountain or road. Thanks Empire!!

I paid for a complete bicycle and drivetrain overhaul and they tried saying that a bicycle overhaul was the same as a tune up which is not only incorrect but fraud. I had to argue with three different employees before the manager confirmed that I did indeed purchase a complete bicycle overhaul. They performed the overhaul after all of this hassle and then I just had to take it back to the shop because the bottom bracket bearing they replaced was loose. The cranks were loose and my pedals were loose cause a horrible noise every rotation of the pedals. It is completely fixed now but after spending the money I did.. this should not have happened. Horrible experience for me

I purchased my bike and accessories from Empire Bikes when they first opened up. I must say the experience was great! Rocky treated me right, showed me the pros and cons of each feature of the bikes I was interested in. Extremely knowledgeable. I test road the bike in the back parking area and Rock road right along with me explaining how the shifter worked, Rock spent a lot of time with me which I greatly appreciated. Universal Inspect

I must say I dont normally do reviews, but these guys really deserve it. OC is the MVP of bike sales/ customer service. His excellent customer service trickels down from the owner who worked on my bike personally. Everyone in this shop is an absolute joy to be around. As a business owner myself, I know that the owner would have exude this behavior himself. These guys are rockstars.. I highly recommend Empire Bikes. Thank you guys, you have a customer for life.

Empire Bikes has been very supportive of me, my family and our riding team (Team Davey in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society). We have purchased multiple bikes, tires, tubes, shoes, clips, accessories etc. and have been fully satisfied. Their rider support is excellent and they even host benefit rides for a number of causes; not the least of which is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Highly recommend them.

Went in to have my pedals switched. No charge and was invited to the beginner group ride the following day. Picked up some water bottle cages just to show appreciation. Its nearby my work so I will definitely head back for more service/products to support the business.

If I buy a new bike I will go to Empire bikes. The owner offered to donate a bike to a guy whose bike was stolen from him work place. Paying it forward, love living in a city that takes care of eachother.
