Security Zealot thinks that he can assault juveniles who frequent this store. Look Business are allowed to defend themselves for a Repeat offended *Trespass them* and call the cops DO NOT EJACULATE the physical altercation. ESPECIALLY OUT SIDE I Followed a Clearly Grilling looking adult hyperextending this teens elbow... on their forced match I turned around followed what was clearly Child abuse. I was going to report this to CPS turns out this was no relation of the kids but a security guy who has gone all vigilanty and chased a suspected shoplifter. Photos Too Follow

Your choices for groceries downtown are slim, basically you have Kress or Target. The Kress is the better choice for higher end goods, produce, and meat. Target is certainly cheaper for the essentials. I wish Kress had a better bakery selection. Since it opened up the Kress IGA has tried to find the balance between catering to the office workers and the lower-income folks who hang out on Third. They remade the deli a few years ago to have cheaper food and things packaged for EBT sale. This was appreciated by a lot of us who dont have $10 to spend on lunch everyday!

Somewhat overpriced for as grotty of a place as this is. I appreciate having a grocery store downtown, so they automatically are going to get 2 stars for that. The also have an okay selection of products which gets them at least another star. I knock off one star for having to fight through the street people asking for money at the top of the escalator entrance, and one more star for Walmart style displays with Whole Foods prices. Bartels is a much better bet for reasonable price grocerie neatby, even though they are a drugstore and have a smaller food selection

I love having a full grocery store right downtown on my bus lines. I can stop in here and grab pretty much what ever I need before heading home. It saves an extra trip to Safeway later. Its on the small side but they still have a good selection and variety of products. They also have a really good service deli if youre looking for a quick, hot lunch downtown as well. The prices are higher then most grocery stores but youre paying for convenience and its really not any more expensive then QFC or Metropolitan Market, especially on sale items.

So Ive lived in Seattle for a while and I would pass the Kress sign and wonder what the heck this mysterious escalator to a basement took you. Turns out its a full grocery store (dont mistake full for large, its small but offers everything you would want) in Downtown Seattle. It has a deli, decent (though not great) produce, and a decent selection of vegan/vegetarian options. Now that I found it, Ive gone in several times and am always surprised at what I can find.

Open until 10! BONUS! Target is closer to where I live, by a block and a half, and open an hour later, BUT it has far better choices of "good" groceries for its size! So as a regular for over a year, and yes there are homeless outside, though OBVIOUSLY through no fault of the store, this has become my "local grocer". Considering their selection, AND central location, I do not think they are overpriced, considering the convenience of their location.

Que delicias de saladas para comprar e levar!!! Eles vendem saladinhas a quilo q podem ser compradas em caixinhas de plástico super praticas. Depois de um dia batendo perna salvaram a gente. Tudo fresco e delicioso.

Really like Kess. Their fresh produce is always fresh. I like taking salads from them for my lunch. And they have our favorite ice cream such as pistachio Ben and Jerry. And service is always good. One thing that I dont like is the smell when you enter the store. Its a lot of homeless people outside of the store. The like to hangout near that area. And all the time when I am about to go in the store I hold my breath.

This is a great store, and due to its location underground via escalator, has less foot traffic from bums and other nasty types of people (unlike walgreens about 100 feet down the way from it). Serves a variety of healthy foods like your typical grocer, has a deli with hot and cold foods, and offers organic options for a lot of things as well for those more health-aware.

Horrible service, the checker did not know how to run my AMEX Business Gift Card properly, even after I offered instructions so my purchase was declined. I called the manager and explained the situation (Michael) and he was no help and just as rude and short as the cashier. I work downtown and I visit Kress a few times a week. I will NEVER return after today.

I really like this grocery store. The cafe/buffet food looked amazing. The groceries were upscale with a vast selection of products. The location might be a tough spot from the street, although theres a sign. It might throw some folks off that there are escalators that go to the basement where the grocery is physically located.

Complete grocery store in the center of the city with a much wider variety of items than any convenience store. Prices are also lower. The quality of the fresh foods can be a bit dodgy though, making you really look through and pick out the fresh fruit/vegetables.

Small urban IGA-style market. Good for the basics but very limited selection of items and brands. Surprisingly decent cheese selection for a store this size. Prices are reasonable and the aisles are spacious enough so you dont feel claustrophobic.

Their hot food is the best. Fried chicken, jojos, a huge salad bar, a full service deli, and hot food line, a great selection of soups, plus a sushi bar, covers all the bases. Did I mention a full sized grocery store? My only one-stop lunch destination.

If you live in downtown Seattle, you know (and love) Kress IGA. Its the only actual grocery store in the area, and its open til 10pm every night. Its a bit more expensive than the bigger chains, but the people are nice and the deli is pretty decent.

This small grocer has a great selection of the most popular items. Its also a great spot for lunch selling house made sushi, fried and grilled foods, Asian food, sandwiches, baked goods, salad bar, and a hot bar, plus a breakfast bar before 10:30.

Nice grocery store right in downtown. I work near this store, so dont do my regular shopping there. For a medium size grocery store it has good selection and prices. Considering there arent many grocery stores downtown, this store is a real gem.

Prices arent too terrible considering the location. Its a basement grocer, so you have steps, escalators and a lift for wheelchairs or strollers. It was rough getting into lift and had issues with it working but employees helped quickly

This is a full service grocery store. They have everything you might need. The prices are good. They have an excellent deli and the chicken wing selection is great and even cheaper than Safeways. The service was fast and friendly.

Only nice supermarket downtown. Only glitch is lack of street parking. Nice selection of food and great produce department. Be careful of high escalators. I dont know where wheelchair access is because I only use the escalators.
