Safeway seems to be the only grocery store in Astoria, Oregon. This Safeway store is well kept and well stocked. It has a nice deli area and all the other amenities that is typical for a newer Safeway store. The staff members were friendly and helpful. Good selection of nice quality items. While we visited, there was a special display highlighting a variety of cheeses and it was terrific to have samples of many varieties. Yum! The gas station offered the best prices for fuel that I have seen in a long time. Even better prices when you have a Safeway rewards card to use.

I came in to refill my Medicine , so I walked in went straight to the Pharmacy counter dropped off refill and as I was walking out was putting my Medication bottle in my Pocket visible to everyone and was chased after by a Woman saying have a nice Day we saw you , I turned right back around and asked Her face to face saw me do what ? She said just have a nice Day so falsely accused of stealing I felt humiliated everyone looking at me Wierd very poor surveillance I showed Her my pocket contents right there .

Went in early Sunday morning, there were no carts by the doors and ask an employee where they were located couldnt find any there so I ended up going outside and bringing one in so I could pick up a few things. Went to the only open register, no one was there but after about five minutes the employee returned to her register, granted it gave me time to answer some text messages but I will NEVER go back.

Just a Dinghy ride away. Dropping anchor off the shore just outside the parking lot. A dinghy ride to shore and the Chinese Buffet begs my attention. For boaters it is perfect... The Astoria Trolley stops right at the parking lot and travels from East Basin to West Basin making it easy to get your provisions whether heading up river or out into the Pacific Pond.

Worst experience of my life the assistant manager is discus tingly rude and picks fights with random people probably just mad cuz he has a tiny penis. If you are reading this dont take your anger out on people cuz you have a physical problem with yourself theres probably someone our there for you. Hope your days are happier.

safeway store is good,,need to keep a better flow of customers by opening more checkoutstands .....friendly staff.....BUT...pharmacy ..wow...i feel like i just got back from a funeral every time i pay for my medication..that lady needs to take a customer cervice how to smile to care and look happy seminar....just sayin...

Good customer service. One thing.. I went in to get a pot roast. I do not know why you cant get a good one piece roast, instead they cut like three different roast and then they pack it with three big bones. My local store I can go in and get a one bone , one piece of meat. Thank you

Good store, not so new location anymore. Carries a wide variety and keeps mostly in stock. Organic and local produce is lacking. Has a hot and cold deli, bakery, Starbucks, a small new bulk display (rice, beans, nuts etc). Meets the expectations of a neighborhood grocery store.

Its a standard Safeway set up. This one just send a bit run down and dirty. Person running the checkstand didnt utter a single syllable, didnt even make eye contact. Just got a receipt shoved in my general direction. I got what I went to get and left.

You cant find any decent help when you are shopping there and it is almost like the employees dont even know their own products or where they are located! They have such a limited supply of everything and a lot of things that Fred Meyers has they dont!

Was at the gas pump there was three gas attendants.But they were only pumping gas on two pumps..The lines were 30 minutes long. Someone finally got the store manager to come out.Always had good service. apparently these people need to be terminated

Called ahead looking for a Micro SD card. I was told they had one. Once out to my car and down the road to install in my ph it was a standard SD. My mistake was trusting someone who was much less savvy than I expected.

Nice location for the area. Could use some work on cleanliness in the bathroom. The bathrooms were quite busy with visitors. Gas station in the adjoining lot which makes for a convenient stop if you are hauling a boat.

I was told the local police get more calls to this location than anywhere else in town. Its the only large grocery store in town though. So you dont have much choice shop here or go across the bridge to the next town.

We have dropped in a few times while visiting Oregon. Is a decent place to stop during road trips along the coast. Good selection nice workers. Gas usually seems to be cheapest in town here.

Thankful for a store being open late in Astoria. I needed some childrens Tylenol in the middle of the night for my daughter and this was the only place open. Store was nice and clean too.

Not the safest area to hang around; lots of vagrants, some of them aggressive. Most of the staff is really friendly, the selection is OK. Wouldnt send my wife there at night though.

Great store with good prices and helpful staff. They have a large variety of items this is a great place to stop if you need to stick up on the way to your camping spot on the Coast.

Its Safeway...what more can I say. They have a Starbucks, fuel station, Wauna Credit Union and everything else you normally find at Safeway. Being right on the river is nice.

Safeway can be better than what theyre doing in Astoria. Their meat department is particularity dangerous. Their chicken is kept at a temp that will kill someone. Stay away!

Decent prices always friendly, not the biggest selection of things but enough for any family. Gas rewards are great gas prices are cheaper than any non club gas stations.

Fairly easy to get in and out of. Good selection and clean. One of the few Safeways we have been to that has enough cashiers to adequately handle the customers .

The only big grocery store around. On a very busy street. Lots of homeless folks wandering around the parking lot and pan handling in front of the store.
