I am extremely upset with my experience at Safeway in Seaside Oregon. After travel 5 hours to Seaside With my husband , grown daughter, son in law and there 4 children we stopped at Safeway to grab some deli chicken and a few other things to take back to our hotel room. The store was extremely busy since it was around 6pm. The lines were packed and a long wait, some of the check stands were not open and 4 of the self checks had signs that they were out of order, Two cashiers were working the 2 self checks to help get customers threw quicker. We had already waited in line 15 to 20 min when a lady walked up with a full cart of groceries and cut right in line in front of me. I asked her what she was doing and she replied she had her daughter standing in line until she finished shopping to get her a place so that she would not have to wait. I was in line with my 3 items and my daughter was in line behind me with her 5 year old daughter. I told the lady I thought she was being rude. She answered saying she does it all the time and so do others. I said again that I think it is rude. I thanked her for teaching me her trick of rudeness. The lady got to check out and told the cashier RACHEL that I was harassing her. The cashier RACHEL told me she would not be ringing me up. When it was my turn Cashier RACHEL pick up my groceries in front of everyone in line and said she refuses to ring me up. I asked her to ring me up since I had now been in line around 30 min, she refused again and began ringing the person after me . I was so upset I demanded she get me her manager. The lady that cut in line stuck around mocking and putting blame on me. Strangers were coming over in the store threatening me and upset I had picked on this lady when no one even knew what had happened. My poor little granddaughter was holding and squeezing her mom sobbing in tears from fear her grandmother was going to be hurt. The store manager came and got matters under control. RACHEL The cashier is the one that made the scene and made the whole situations worse than it was. I have contacted the store since returning from vacation and manager said he spoke with Rachel and next time for her to call for a manager! This girl cashier is a grown woman and she wanted to embarrass me deliberately. I hope this does the same for her. Word to the wise! Avoid RACHEL at Seaside Safeway.

I have been going to the Seaside Safeway for over 3 yrs since I work in Seaside - The main reason why I go is for the Starbucks Coffee - I have been in Customer service for over 40 yrs and there is a Barista named Sandy that is a Poster Child for Customer Service!! She is absolutely a delight - She greets everyone like she has known them for years. She always has a smile on her face and by the end of your transaction - You will too!! Safeway was very fortunate to have found someone that truly is dedicated to the Professionalism and Customer Service. Also She makes a Great Mocha. Kudos Sandy!!!

Aisles are too narrow. The selection seems to be premium food items at a higher price. Could not find most of the regular food items not much of a choice. Overall the prices are much more than Fred Meyers. I will give kudos to the meat guy who went in the back to find my frozen chicken since there was none out on the floor. And then nice bag lady who helped me take my groceries out to the car.

The idiots took away the side parking lot and made it a truck stop. Corporate was contacted and they dont care. This was great for us locals, especially during the busy summer months. Also, they re-arranged the store again and made it more confusing than ever. It is worth the trip to Fred Meyers for the convenient parking alone.

Went in for a job. Was pretty much hired.then i go into give them my scedule and the main manager told me i dont have a chance so i left. I was allready hired an that manager mark just slammed me so i left .iv never felt so crappy in my life bout a job thankyou safeway .

This is a busy store! I have never come here and not had to wait in line. Located off the main road, it is close to downtown Seaside and Gearhart. If you are looking for prepared foods to take to the beach, they are in the front, not in the Deli section.

As usual,a joke!! Long lines!!! Slow checkers, not enough room to park,spaces are small and cramped,and its the only place we locals have to shop! And as always its expensive!! Its always been the biggest money making store of all the Safeway in Oregon!!

Great location and super nice staff! Not much available in this town in the way of good restaurant food, so Safeway is your best resource for snacks and meals, especially if you like cooking your own food. Prices were very good and parking was convenient.

some of the people working there have bad attitudes...but the people at their starbucks are very friendly. most of the time they are to of stock but its ok because theres another small market in seaside(kens market) and they have reasonable prices

The new management is amazing. Their support of the employees shows in the employees attitudes. Sure, the store is busy and crazy, but the workers are almost always happy and try hard to make sure the customers enjoy their shopping trip.

Its great to have access to a large grocery store in such a small town but the staff definitely has a poor attitude and therefore customer service is lacking unless you are a local in which case you are given priority over everyone else.

Mark the store director is rude and the service here sucks due to Marks lack of ability to lead ! If your going to this store give yourself an extra 20 mins to check out! Dont get me wrong there are a few employees that care!

Based solely on hours of operation, I say "4 stars"! I live in a bad Seattle neighborhood & 10pm is about as brave as our stores are, maybe midnight on weekends. Clean, well-stocked store. Awesome for vacationers or locals.

This place has the worse lines. Your wait is on an average of 40min.. by the time you are at checkout your ice cream is super soft. Not a friendly store everyone that works there are so busy its like hire some people!!!

Safeway. Wonderful Place. Self Check and Regular Tills. Mostly Open Until 11 pm in Summer.☺Nice, Helpful People Work There. In Winter it Could Close Sooner. Call 4 hours 2 Be Sure. Fish Counter Closes at 8 pm.

This Safeway is pretty much like any other Safeway out there--except on the 4th of July. It is packed around this holiday. Fortunately, Safeway closes at 1 AM, so you can shop at night and avoid the crowds.

Lovely staff, but this is the most expensive Safeway in the state of Oregon. Does have great prices for most Safeway store brand items, but the nicer products are much more expensive than usual.

There are never enough checkers l, so even 2 items will take an hour! The prices are the highest in the state and they are constantly changing the isles, so you can never find anything easily.
