I picked up my car and was charged about $1,500 for repairs that didnt include repair of the original problem. I was told the original problem is the catalytic converter but they didnt repair it because they didnt want my bill to be too expensive. REALLY!! So I was told, if the check engine comes back on, I would need to bring it in to get the catalytic converter replaced. Sire enough within minutes of pulling off, my check engine light came back on. This time, I decided to go to the experts, the Honda dealership where they informed me that the real problem was not the catalytic converter but the engine. So I informed Mavis of the error they made and they gave me the run around about getting a refund, which included multiple "made-up" stories about the regional manager calling me back to start the refund process. I finally called the Corporate number and they had the regional manager call me, whom stated he never was informed about the issue from the location. So he took down my information and promised to call me back within 24 hours....that was over 3 months ago and I have yet to receive his call back...maybe he meant to say 24 weeks instead of hours.

WOMEN BEWARE!!! Bought tires here, they called and said we see you are all most ready for inspection, you need brakes and struts. I had it done by my mechanic for 1/2 the price they quoted. Took it back for inspection (it is walking distance to my work) Quoted me $400. for a tune up and $180 for transmission maintenance, I took my car in for quick inspection and asked how they could be charging more for service then the Ford Dealer? ( I called) I was told they misquoted me whoops anyway called me later to say that I need to have 2 front control arms repaired for $765 that my car was a danger to drive that the bushings were shot and there was nothing holding the control arms in place !! So they flunked me for inspection. I took my car to my regular mechanic..... There was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the control arms AND I got a tune up AND a full transmission service AND inspection for less than their original Tune Up quote AND I still have not recieved my $70 tire rebate since September even though I have called/emailed several times...it is being PROCESSED!!!

I had a flat tire a few months ago and brought it over to STS. They didnt have my tire to replace it, but they put the donut on and took me as a walk-in no problem. AND DIDNT CHARGE ME! More recently my tire pressure light continues to come on, they checked my tire pressure - filled it up no problem and no cost to me. Now that my car needs actual work I will definitely be taking it there!! Very friendly and accomodating staff, especially because I am not the most knowledgable with cars!

I work in the area and the one sales associate told me local employees get a 10% discount. After going there 3 times and having service done I noticed there was no such discount. Asked another sales guy and he didnt know about it. Dirty sales tatics to lure customers in.

Charged $150 for transmission oil change on a manual shift car which should normally cost $80-$100!!!. They are are charging NY prices since STS has been bought by Mavis Tire, NY.

Vehicle required work to pass inspection… They performed none of it and referred me to the dealership… Drove home this evening with no headlights… Thanks a lot
