Let me start by saying that I worked at Kmart in Colorado the 19070s while in college. We were required to be friendly, and we knew how to count back change without the registers help. Every sale was ended with TYFSAK (Thank you for shopping at Kmart). My how things have changed. Employees at the Phoenixville store are, for the most part, the most unenthusiastic people in retail. I realize that its not the best paying job, but like my dad always said, "I dont care if you are a trash collector. Just be the best trash collector that you can be". I was cashing in 3 lottery tickets at customer service on 5/26/17, and encountered the most apathetic employee so far. The store was dead, and there was no one in line at the counter. She looked at me as if I was ruining her day. No greeting, just glared at me. She complained that one of my tickets wouldnt scan. She finally got it to go through. Usually, I will be asked if Id like more lottery tickets (suggestive selling!), or the cash. Nope. She handed the cash to me without another word, then turned away. I know not to expect a TYFSAK, but a thank you would have been nice. I kick myself every time I leave this store. At one visit, I helped a young cashier figure out change. She had entered the wrong amount into the register, and was dumbfounded. She asked around for a calculator! I asked to show her how to count the change back to the customer. Wow! She thought I was Einstein. Its very sad that this is what has happened to Kmart. They do have some good merchandise, and there are one or two friendly people who work there. I do think that I have finally learned my lesson. I refuse to shop at Walmart, so I guess Ill just have to drive to Target from now on.

This Phoenixville KMart is just the worst. Too bad, I shopped there from the time it opened, and for years have preferred it to other options. Dont know whats happened in the last few years, but these days its dirty, disorganized, all the prices are out of sync. If you can find someone to help you, theyre surly. Merchandise is so disorganized and poorly priced that its always a crap shoot as to whether what you think youre going to pay is actually what rings at the cash register. Tired of dealing with it, today was my last visit. I never thought Id see the day when I thought that WalMart offered a better experience - but Ive just reached that point. btw this is a nice (not great) little shopping center. A wonderful Giant, very nice International Dollar, very nice Pet Supplies Plus. The KMart and Sears are the two derelict stores, actually worse in appearance than the Goodwill store. Sears and KMart deserve to go out of business.

I basically like this store, especially for baby clothes boys baby clothes. Walmart doesnt have much in the way of baby clothes Kmart beats Walmart here. When I need clothes for my grandson I go to Kmart!! But my local store Phoenixville NEEDS TO TURN UP THE AIR CONDITIONER!!! Come summer time when it is hot outside it gets extremely HOT inside this store!! HOW DO NOT KNOW HOW PEOPLE WORK IN THERE!! It gets TOO HOT TO SHOP IN THERE! I go in get what I need and get out!! WAY TO HOT IN THAT STORE IN THE SUMMER!!!!

Just bought 4 pairs of water shoes supposed to be buy one get one half price, my son and mine rang up right, but my other son and his wife didnt ring up the same, so we went to customer service to get the 50 % off, and got an argument for a half hour and to make us feel bad told us the teller was getting written up, that knuckle head should be written up for arguing with us and even sharing with us the writing up, to make us feel bad,

I hate it here, Ive tried a number of times to like it but I cant. Everything looks dirty, the customer service counter and cashiers are very slow; it just seems like they dont care. I had ordered an item online, when I got home to look at the item, I realized it was already opened and looked used... Why in the world would they do that!!! So very disappointed, I dont even want to go back to return the dang thing...

I brought in a print out of an on line sale price. When I showed the store the print out they said that I had to pay the regular non sale price . When I explained that all other stores that Ive shopped in honor the on line price , they said , nothing I can do, it is store policy.

The manager is extremely unlikable and rude to customers. A good start to up the quality of the store would be getting a new manager. The rest of the employees were nice enough. I recommend going to the target located in Oaks, its worth the drive.

We hardly see these stores anymore. More of a nostalgia thing, I love coming here for a variety of household (and other) items. Rewards are okay... easy to get. Management is accommodating and caring.

They charged me 16.99 for a pool marked 12.99 and refused to honor their sale signs even after I went outside and showed them the clearly marked sign.
