Be aware that this is not a Verizon owned store, but an authorized retailer. The signage was not exactly obvious to me at the time as the "GoWireless" is pretty small in comparison to "Verizon". Anyways, phone died just before I was going out of town and the local large retailer didnt have stock, so I stopped at what I assumed was a Verizon store here in Kirkland, WA. Im used to signing a ton of paperwork when activating a new phone, so didnt think anything of it at the time as I signed on the dotted line several times (the Apple south park episode now comes to mind). Perhaps I wasnt listening as closely as I should have, but two tired daughters were intent on going home. Anyway, got home and read through the paperwork and found a $79 charge for a GoAdvantage plan, and a $29 car charger. I didnt bite on any other accessories they recommended as it turns out the return policy on the website specifies no refunds on many of the accessories, and a 25% restocking fee on anything that can be returned (check their website). Anyways, went in the next morning and the individual working gladly accepted the charger return without a restocking fee. Even with the details of the plan now explained to me, Im still not feeling well about the fact I somehow signed up for a loyalty plan that cost me $60... although I may have been distracted, I definitely would have balked at it had I any inkling that there was an associated cost. Even with the discounts the plan gave me for the case and the protective screen, Ill need to have them replace the protective screen a number of times in order to approach breaking even on the deal. Maybe the plan works for some people, but as a vanilla cell phone user, its not really what I wanted or expected. A few things bothered me about the experience in hindsight... Unrelated to my purchase, someone made a comment while I was there along the lines of "Ive worked for Verizon for xx years and never had this happen..." which further enforced the idea I was in a Verizon owned store. When I asked if the activation fee could be waived given that my phone was dead, I was told that they couldnt, but that they would reduce it from $40 to $20 (or that there was a special and I would only get charged $20). I got charged the normal $40 activation fee, and the $20 upgrade fee after looking at the paperwork. Lastly, I should have questioned the total charge at the end (kids had to go to the bathroom at that point), but a prior comment that I would be charged a nominal down payment on the phone and the rest would be amortized over the Verizon contract period made me not question the total as I knew Id be getting dinged for the case, screen cover, etc. I was given ample opportunity to review the amortization schedule, so I fault myself for not catching that. Bottom line... If youre paying close attention to the details and asking questions, maybe youll have a better experience than I did.

I walked in to upgrade my Verizon phone thinking this was a retail store. My mistake! The service was good, but somehow I was up-sold a GAP+ android bundle that I guess only gives me discounts at that store. $79.99 worth of nothing. Then to MAKE matters worse... I dropped by HTC DNA $600 phone - when I called Verizon they said I didnt have insurance. I remember that the sales person pushed another insurance company that we said was better and cheaper. WELL, to make a long story short, I DON"T have insurance with any carrier. Either it didnt get finished or the sales person let me leave believing I had insurance. Regardless, When calling the Totem Lake Store - I finally was able to track the insurance company they pushed in January but no luck and this store now is recommending another insurance company. I have been a Verizon Customer since 2002 - I have never NOT had insurance on our phones, which have been up to 8 phones on our account at one time. Very mad at myself for letting someone talk me into switching insurances and for believing them I would be taken care of!!

A very strange experience at this store. We walked in knowing we want to buy 2 iphone5s but the employee repeatedly bashed the iPhone. He wanted us to buy windows phones, which we already have and are not happy with. Then he started making things up. I didnt tell him that I work for a major software company and just let him make a fool out of himself. He started making some silly comments; 9-10 iphones come in for repair everyday for battery issues. The iphone5 has a 2 hour battery life....Microsoft is getting ready to bail Apple out....Microsoft has sold millions of surface tablets, but apple wont release their ipad sale figures.....this guy just went on and on. It was like dealing with a car salesman who tries to sell you something that is not selling well, and needs to be rid of it. We left feeling insulted and we wont be coming back. The good: While this is happening, he did set up our new iphones, transferred our contacts, and got us out of there pretty fast.

I bought two cell phones at this retailer. I wish that I had not. The first visit when I purchased the phones went well. However, when the sales person called me to say my phone was ready, I showed up that day to pick it up during their store hours and they had turned off their lights and locked the doors two hours early. Visit #3 next day...I called to make sure theyd be open and showed up to pick up my phone and they couldnt find it. Visit#4 They called and I showed up again and this time they had my phone. It took them from 4:30- 7:00 to download 40mb of data to the new phone. At the end not everything transferred and my new phone is a mess. I will go to another location to have this. These guys acted nice enough, but seemed very limited on what they were able to do and could only say sorry for all the trips I had to make to their store. Poor customer service from the manager.

On 7/29/15, i went in to this location because my phone was getting no reception. When i walked in the young woman working at the counter seemed to busy texting her friends to want to help me and thus made me feel like she was trying to hurry me out the door. My problem was not resolved in the store, but rather when i got home i ended up fixing my own phone by doing a little research. But the fix i applied could have been done in store with little effort. If you see a chubby chick with too much make up texting behind the counter, dont waste your time.

I will never go to a Verizon Authorized store again. This was my third try, at the Kirkland, Totem lake location, giving the benefit of the doubt each time. However, I spoke to the same gentleman today as I did a month ago and he was dismissive and offered no help. He did suggest that I may have better pricing and luck looking and ordering online. He never even offered to look up my account to offer any better insight. Save your time, money and energy my going to a friendly and helpful corporate store.
