I went to Kmart in Kent to purchase clothes for a trip I was to go on the next day (I was in a hurry so wasnt able to try them on at the store). Receipt said a month for returns. I was out of state so I wasnt able to return until I got back in town. Purchased 5-15-17 and went back to store 6-15-17. The lady at customer service said, "Im sorry but it appears youve just gone over the time limit to return". I looked at her, told her I had been out of state and wasnt able to. I showed her the date (6-15-17) from my watch and said, "It says a month on the receipt and its on the one month mark." She said, "there must be more than 30 days between those dates and I cant change it." I looked at her incredulously (becoming angrier by the second) and said its a month between those dates..15th to 15th.. She said no, she couldnt help me. I said, "Theres over $200 of clothes in this bag, what am I supposed to do with them?!?" She apologized and said she couldnt change it. Thinking back on the amount, it wasnt that much but most of the clothes I purchased ended not fitting. I shouldve requested to talk with a supervisor but instead, I stormed off fuming, told her I was never coming back to the store and left. I can NOT believe they wouldnt honor my request to return...Ive shopped at their store a lot over the years and spent a lot of $$$ there....no more. She was nice but that is awful customer service! I could understand it if it was a week or month past but it was the same "day" just the next month (one month which states it on the receipt). She didnt even offer to give me the choice to exchange products. Kmart you need to learn customer service skills! Costco, Nordstroms, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc...they would NEVER do that! They honor their customers. One very unhappy and disgusted customer. I shouldnt have even given one star....shouldve been in the minus!

Im still in shock! A couple weeks ago, my 35 yr old son came to visit, he lives in Norway but we have lived in Kent our whole lives & we have shopped at Kmart enough times to notice how much its chanhed. Heres the terrible experience we had. My son went to look for some inexpensive shoes to mess around in while hes here visiting & picked out a pair & tried them on & walked up the isle 2 get the feel of them, leaving his $250 pair of Diesel shoes right behind him so u know he wasnt gonna go very far from them, but all of a sudden "loss prevention", comes up to him & was accusing him of trying to steal the $15 pair of shoes he was trying on. I about lost my cool. So after about a good hour in the back being interragated, they looked at the tape & decided to let him go. I will never shop there again after that rude incident. We never once heard an Im sorry from anyone that worked there

Old chain store. Very outdated. CEO doesnt seem to care much anymore. Was in Kent for a meeting and driving while looking for gas. KMART caught my attention and had to stop there as its so nostalgic. Did my purchases of 2 items here and was in line for about 20 minutes with 2 people in front. It tooooook FOREVER for the register lady to bag up clothes for a customer (she felt the need to fold them...). Not to mention the old 90s pos Systems. And constant " would u like to sign up for a Sears Credit card?" Or questiining the customer about signing up for Kmarts email alert and store discount card thing.... Shopping is a hassle as it is.. we just want our products and to leave... why offer 4 different special cards or options for discounts??? Mr. Lampert is either broke or is too dang cheap to fix up the deteriorating stores... Only can hope.

I time how long it takes me to get through the line at Kmart using my phone. Last time I was there it took 17 minutes and 37 seconds and there was only two customers ahead of me(the one directly ahead of me had 1 item). After that ordeal, I walked out to the parking lot and tripped on the cart return stopper. I was bleeding from my hand and my knees and I also got a face full of bark. TWO employees walked past me and didnt ask if I was okay, didnt help me pick up my purchased items, and continued on with their conversation as if I didnt exist. How inconsiderate do you have to be to not help someone bleeding like that?!

Cashier software is outdated by ~ten years. Database management isnt great; sometimes programs such as leasing dont work due to system communication issues. The issues roughly fall into the following percentages: 40% due to needing an upgrade in systems and overall appearance. 30% due to issues with the system not knowing whats on sale, etc. 15% due to understaffing or budgeting (in general). 12% due to shaky employee training (mostly just not knowing products or ads). 3% due to actual bad customer service. Its not Kmart as much as corporates policies and systems management.

They have some good deals but also have a good amount of over priced items. Every time I buy online and choose store pickup its always a long wait for the employees to locate my order. My aunt purchased some clothes for my twins and later discovered damage to one of the outfits. When she tried to exchange it without her receipt they wouldnt do it. She wasnt trying to return for cash just a straight across exchange and it still had the tags on it. But they still refused.

I love this store. As a discount store, they dont get any better - and they have just about everything you could need or want. I also like that they are connected to Sears with many of the same items, and Sears points accrue in either store. Yes, there may be some disarray or some waiting for someone to come and open a dressing room, but the staff is kind, knowledgeable, and committed. Its well worth the trip!

I like this place because its cheap. I have grandchildren and shopping there is great fun and easy. The employees there are very helpful when I am shopping for my grand-daughter being that I am her grand-dad. Things are a bit disarray there but if you just have patience then you can find what it is that you are looking for.

I didnt mind the selection of merchandise they had available - Ive never really been in a K Mart until this one. Only two checkers, so lines were long and the customers were kind of "ghetto". Some old lady was yelling about my baby girl who started crying as we waited in line for 10 mins. Not too encouraged to go back -

Great prices, quality clothing, helpful staff, very clean store. Love it. My favorite product is the ladies Basic Editions camp shirts. Ive bought 6 different, really cute camp shirts and live in them all summer long. Nobody has a better camp shirt for a better price.

Horrible Service , I went in to buy a couple of hair products and there where three check stands with cashiers and all of them were closed so because they were closed they didnt check us out . Overall Bad service and Rude Employees .
