My family and I went shopping yesterday and one of my family members had an issue with there prosthetic leg because it was so hot. The gentleman from the shoe department came over and wanted to know if we wanted to just leave and come back later instead of helping us find a restroom so they would not be so embarrassed. But instead treated us like we where there to steal from the store and even after we took care of the member of our party and went to pay he still mind you by this time he wanted to set our clothes up at the register.so we continued to shop and bring additional clothes up so he would not think we where stealing. Then we went up to pay and he still treated us like we where going to steal from them even after spending over 400 dollars I was being watch like I would steal. I dont know what this gentlemanly problem was but I will never buy from jc pennys ever again.

Customer service from 1 employee is the worst, second time she was my cashier, she said shes so focused on puting my things into bags she cant look at me and shes afraid she breaks something/messes up?! I bought 2 jakets, mess what up??? Very diapointing, she only said that because I was realy looking at her- r u serious with that customer service!? So she felt my look at her and came up with reason why she was so rude... too bad receipt doesnt show name of the clerk, I forgot hers... Im coming back to store, I do like few brands there, and sales:) too. The 3 star rating because of that one lady(I would give one or less, but store deserves at least 4), there r few more people there, but u know, every one has a bad day, so... but that one needs to work in the back room, not in front of the store.

If I could give zero stars I would. I had the most terrible experience in the furniture department. I was testing a bed by laying down, I wasnt jumping or anything of the sorts, and an employee asked if she could help me, I said no thank you, and she told me "this is not a waiting room Im going to have to ask you to leave". I told her I was actually looking for a bed but she wouldnt listen. She was very rude about it. I wasnt about to leave just yet, and so she called security. I talked to the manager there and she said she would talk to her. I had to go upstairs one more time to buy a comforter, when the lady and a couple of other employees started following me around and watching me. My friend and I were so uncomfortable that we felt the need to leave. I will NEVER return here again.

My son had left his ski jacket back in Texas when he came to visit for spring break so we needed something cheap and fast. We went into this location and didnt even know what department we would need. I manager walked right up to us and listened well, walked up to the clearance section of childrens department and helped us find the right size. We didnt even have to go to the register to check out as they have a handheld device for checkout and emailed my receipt. Super helpful and fast! She was pleasant and it only cost $20! Very happy shopper!

If I could give less than 1 star for this "salon" I would. I was there for 4 hours and 45 minutes. After almost 4 hours she still hadnt completed the foils in my hair. The bleach bled and left me with awful results. Also made me an hour late for work due to her poor time management. Sharletha destroyed my hair and all I got was "that doesnt sound right" "Ill have to check into this" The pictures Im including are the destruction and the repair. Well dont ever call their photography place here for pricing because the employees cant even take two seconds to look up how much photos will cost, the only answer youll get is "sorry we cant help you, you have to go on the website". But when you go on the website all you can do is schedule a session without ever finding out pricing! I had to call the one over in south hill to get pricing, which they were able to look for me in a couple of seconds. The employees here were just to damn lazy do it.

The worst experience. They kept my order without calling me the pick up for over 50 days. When I called to find out about my order, they argued that they called and left messages several times, which they did not. In the mean time, they cancelled the order...supposably, I will have have to get my money back sometimes in the next 10 days. I will not recommend ordering from them. I am very disappointed with their service.

Ive been here a few times. I like their furniture and they have great sales. Except the employees are No help AT ALL. they look at you and, literally stand there talking amongst themselves like their not even working! Clearly I look interested in something but none of them ask if I need help with anything. Ill just go to a different store.

No one on floor to assist. An employee almost ran me over running UP the down escalator. Couldnt find an open dressing room, asked someone for help and they just pointed. Mostly organized but theres defiantly some very sloppy areas of the store. Its usually not this bad. Employees NOT helpful, no smile from the cashier.

Kim & Beth were extremely helpful and very polite to me on 8/09/2017. They went above and beyond to help me find the perfect suit and I truly appreciate all they did to make me feel value as a customer! AMAZING Job for hiring managers like them! Kudos to JcPenny! :)

Big sign out front says "we sell appliances now!" go inside go to buy a $150 microwave. No they dont carry stock you have to order it online and there is a $125 shipping fee. Waste of time and great business model you bankrupt morons.

Russell in the home furniture department was extremely rude. While looking for a new sofa, my children were seated on a set waiting for me while I looked at another and he rudely told them they needed to leave the store.

JCPenny is my go to for clearance bedding and housewares. If you need cheap sheets, towels, or whatnot look at their clearance at the end of any season. You wont be disappointed by the deals.
