This Nordstroms is one the worst Ive been to. From the selection to the service, the Nordstrom at short pump is nothing like the West coast stores. Its a sad representation of such a high quality store. This location lacks the professionalism, the top grade customer service, and the atmosphere as a whole. You might as well go to Macys, youre not missing out on anything here. Every other Nordstrom Ive gone to the sales persons are dressed professionally in suits or in some other suitable dress code, and its obvious who are the people ready to assist, but at short pump the staff are dressed in college type attire and the meaning of customer service is non-existent. For example, I took my wife there a few days ago to look for shoes, I had to go look for someone to help me because none was found. I asked for the shoe color and size and waited a good 10 minutes until I noticed the girl that was supposed to look for my shoes was ringing someone else up and when I went up to her to inquire about the shoes she said "oh yeah, we dont have that size or color". Really?! Ive been going to Nordstroms for over 2 decades, but the location at short pump is sad and completely misses all marks of a caliber shopping experience that Nordstroms is usually none for. Sorry Richmond, youre missing out on the real Nordstroms Ive experienced at other locations. Maybe someone will read this and make a change, or do themselves a favor and just close up this location.

I went into the cosmetics store today to purchase lip glass, (I normally go to regency, but they are closed), I waited around for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged me at all they just walked and talked around me like I wasnt there. Finally someone said I will be with you in a moment (I think she was talking to me, but she never made eye contact so who knows) I then waited around for another 20 minutes with the color I wanted in my hand, ready to leave until my husband came over and interupted the cashier and she very rudely rang me up. I heard rumors about nordstroms and sadly I must say it is very true. I was very disappointed in how I was treated and will purchase my mac online from now on.

I wouldnt shop at this location again. Maybe everyone was busy but I feel like I had to ask for help instead of being approached or even greeted, this could be me nitpicking. I just wanted to buy a simple watch but unfortunately the watch section was in disarray and the associates looked confused. Well, I decided to call later for the availability and was transferred about five times till they put me in the right department. Honestly, it was probably one of the worse experiences Ive had this year. Good thing I left before wasting any further time at this location! Id recommend taking business to stony point where they care about quality AND service.

The cafe used to be wonderful, but the service and communciation have suffered. Since they shortened the hours, the staff tends to close up even earlier than posted so you have to arrive at least half an hour before. When they take your order and state that the meal can be prepared the way you want it, and then state they cannot, they not only charge you for the next meal but then overcharge you. Pay in cash so you know what you are actually paying. Called the credti card company and they were not willing to do anything. Not what Nordstroms is known for. Disappointing

Bad service multiple times- especially in shoes. I walked around with a shoe in my hand for 10 min before someone even acknowledged me. Then she kept coming back saying they didnt have the shoe and didnt come back with suggestions like a real shoe associate would. After the fifth shoe I finally found something but I didnt even want to purchase it to give her the commission. I grew up going to Nordstrom and this is not a store that I feel meets the Nordstrom standards in inventory or customer service.

Love Nordstrom. Been a Nordy for many years. The service is great, the selection top of the line. Whether you are buying for yourself or someone else you can always find the perfect item, and if you cant, they will track it down. And dont get me started on the shoes. The most amazing styles, designers and selection. Go for a pair and typically walk out with 3 at least. The sales are amazing, especially the pre-fall sale. Dont miss it for anything.

Went there with my family for some Redwing boots. They price matched off of Amazon which was impressive and the man we worked with was great. Dont be surprised if they try to sell you something else though. In our case it was leather cleaner which I had more than enough of at home and he would not take no for an answer so be on your game when you go. Otherwise it was a good experience, quick and easy.

If you go when its not too crowded, the service here is incredible. I was wearing a pair of shoes they carry and the salesman looked at them, told me they were too new to wear as much as they had, and gave me a new pair. I was pretty floored seeing as I hadnt even asked for that.

They have the largest selection of Fryes in the area. Great place to find and buy your favorite shoes. If youre a shoe fanatic, then come here. If they dont have your size or the particular style you want, they can order from one of their other locations and ship to your door.

The cafe is not like there costal stores. The menu is similar but technically something is missing. Its just not great anymore. the service is also mediocre, a level of thoughtfulness and independent thinking is missing from the staff. To bad, used to be so good!

I purchased some things online.... went ahead and picked it up the next day.... the sales person were nice, but my items were dirty! So I went back and returned the sunglasses, just returned it. Never will do this pick up in this store again!
