Was looking for a used ATB bike for UVa commute, one that no one would want to steal... But I also wanted decent gears, strong frame, and good function. SCORE! Found just what I was looking for at Community Bike. This old-school Trek ATB, one that had seen its share of scratches and scuffs, was flawlessly adjusted. The wheels were perfectly true and round, spokes properly tensioned, and the shifters were exact in their operation. Brakes were properly spaced and everything was lubed. Not even a new bike would have been this well adjusted! Kudos to the volunteers and staff of Community Bike! They answered all my questions and were very friendly. It is also cool that anyone can go there and work on their bikes, use their tools and bike racks, for a very reasonable shop fee. Very happy customer!

A great place to get a part, tires, tubes or a "new to you" bike. Very helpful staff that will show your how to fix or upgrade your bike. A real community treasure.
