Fantastic salad bar. More than 100 DIFFERENT items, many organic. Romaine, spinach or mixed greens for the base, then a ton of prepared pasta and grain salads, turkey, chicken, ham, crab, tuna, hard boiled eggs, pickle varieties, fresh melon, blueberries (in season), fresh pineapple, hummus, yogurt, dried cherries, edamame, cheeses, tofus and lots more. Also fresh-baked cookies and wide variety of drinks. In winter, chili plus 5-6 different soups each day -- always at least one vegetarian, often one vegan. In the morning, ham biscuits, croissants, big $1 muffins and several varieties of coffee -- still $1 a cup with 75 cent refills. Many fans at lunch hour, but line moves fast with two cash registers.

Sanitation Issues? Today I visited Blue Ridge Country Store. This place is a regular lunch stop for me, however I was very disappointed today. The cashier was handling food while also tending cash and bagging merchandise. Id expect that this is a health violation. She was picking grapes off of stems at the cash register counter and putting them into the stainless steel salad bar container, she then switched to handling cash and merchandise, then back to picking grapes from the stems and put them into the stainless steel salad bar container. Im pretty grossed out! Money is dirty.

SHL April 2, 2012 Please see Glenns review below - it is accurate and well written. There are delightful salad bar items Id never had before: wheat-berry and rye-berry. There is always Chicken Noodle Soup I am told, but someone with a broad knowledge of herbs and spices conjures up new and exciting flavors. Its the same with salad dressings. Kashi bars. Organic green teas. Sweet potato chips. Its all good!

I went in this store one afternoon to pick up a snack. The afternoon store clerks are extremely rude and very unprofessional. It seemed as if it were an inconvenience to wait on me. Ive stopped by in the early mornings and the store clerks were happy and had a pleasant attitude. Unfortunately, because of your poor choice of afternoon clerks I will not be back.

I work nearby, and have been going for lunch here for the last 5 years or so. An amazing variety, dependably high quality. Also great soups and entrees, plus some cookies to die for (Harvest is my fave, with Cranberries, nuts, oatmeal, brown suger) Plus a serious selection of nibbles, chocolates, jams, even books on tape. Amazing, unique, and healthy to boot!

This place rocks! I work around the corner and eat here twice a day. They have awesome biscuits, muffins, cinnamon buns, and croissants for breakfast and for lunch they have a wide range of wraps, salads, and soups all of which are excellent. The staff is friendly and will remember you if youre a regular.

A great, quick lunch spot if you work on the downtown mall--huge salad bar, excellent house made soups, breakfast biscuits, and other lunch options. Plus you can grab a 6 pack of craft beer, fresh fruit and more for a good price.

Great salad bar and good selection of local goods. Great beer selection. Great baked goods and coffee. Staff sometimes seems rushed, but overall friendly.

It was really cute and I would love to go back when I have a little more time. However, it was also really tiny and a bit overpriced.

I absolutely love the salad bar, and the breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, too! I only wish it were open on the weekends....

Over priced and OK food, staff is worse than teens running a store by themselves.
