I was given extremely disrespectful and rude treatment at TFM. Ive been to the store a total of 5 times and my 5th time was definitely the worst experience ever. First off, I was very surprised about how giving the store was, They gave lots of samples of their items, and they are very organized with their departments. The department that impressed me the most, was the sushi department. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!! I have spent hundreds of dollars on expensive sushi while in Japan, and the sushi from the fresh market is no different, if not better! The cutest asian couple run the sushi bar, and the female chef, made sure i knew what to order, and she gave me her contact information to make sure i enjoyed it. I even ordered a party platter for my husbands birthday, It was like heaven in my mouth. I will definitely be coming back. The FM deli department is the main reason I will not be returning. They had a large, delicious variety of meals, for great prices, but the staff is one of the rudest, most ignorant I have ever met. I had to wait at least 5 minutes for the employees to wrap up their conversations before I was assisted. They were very loud, and it was not appropriate for me to be able to hear their employee gossip. I could sense that it was not going to end anytime soon, so I interrupted their conversation. This lady, gives me the coldest, meanest glare ever. Like it was my fault I needed some help. She went to go get my food, and the whole way she was slamming, pushing, shoving everything in her way. All the times i have been to TFM, it is the same lady who has this attitude. I can understand someone having a bad day, or not feeling well, but when are grouchy 24/7 you should not be working for public service. Overall, the only department there worth your time is the Sushi, meat, and bakery.

9/11/2016, 7:00 PM - Walked into the Fresh Market in Winchester VA to pick up some food from the Bistro Area. There was no employee directly in front of the pre-made food area but there was a girl washing dishes and equipment on the side of that area. I called out to her to try and see if I could purchase some food. She did not even attempt to acknowledge me. I walked over to where she was working so I could ask her if I could purchase some food and the look on her face said it all: Why are you even bothering me while Im washing dishes! She had this look of disgust that a customer would even think about asking her for assistance to purchase food while she was washing dishes. I turned around and just walked straight out. My previous experience was nothing like this so I know this could be just an isolated issue but I do think management needs to find out who this employee is and help her understand that customers come before your ancillary tasks.........

Has good stuff, but its expensive. Thats pretty standard because you get what you pay for, but Ive had a lot of trouble with their seafood departments poor service and even witnessed a cross-contamination issue that made me refuse the products I wanted. Update: So many cross-contamination issues at the Winchester, VA location. In addition, I have received spoiled food from the deli twice. The assistant manager, Monica, listened to the complaint with a bad attitude, said "Nothing I can do." and then turned and walked away. I could understand if I was difficult, angry, or wanted something for free, but i didnt want anything but an acknowledgement of the issues. So poor in every aspect of my experience.

We drove out to the store for the sushi demo the week of their grand opening. Outside the had delicious sausages grilling up. Since we werent going home straight away, we opted not to get any. We did get some delicious cotton candy grapes. The produce looked so fresh and inviting! The cold case and olive bar had more selections than Ive seen at any grocery store The meat case was hopping and packed with people. The spice end cap held out attention for quite a while. They have a large selection of gluten-free items. Loved the bulk bin and all the flavors of bulk coffee readily available. We loved the store and cant wait to go back.

Nice place to buy upscale food, but the selection of food is somewhat redundant with other things in the area. I expected more natural and organic food, and instead there was a higher proportion of expensively priced conventional meats and produce than I thought would be there. Organic food, bulk commodities, and more focus on value in high quality products would be a big improvement. Still, it is new, and I hope it will evolve in a good direction over time, as they get more familiar with the landscape of the local area, and the unfilled markets that a place like this could easily tap into.

While its nice to have a more upscale grocery store they should still focus on their customers. I stood at the meat counter for over ten minutes waiting for service as the two employees focused on those who came up to the center of the display case and ignored those of us on the ends. The clerks made eye contact with me and the couple standing beside me several times yet still ignored us. I want to support a store more focused on fresh and local food but I still want to be treated as a customer at a grocery store, not a nightclub.

Went in Sunday afternoon, went to the deli area and my son (10 years old) sees a sign that says "order sandwiches here". He says "Italian sub no tomatoes, onions or hot peppers please" the lady (one of three in the deli area) says they are not making sandwiches anymore today. This occurred at 4pm and they close at 9pm. I checked, no hours stated on the simple sign that says "order sandwiches here".

I want to love FM. However, EVERY time I go to get their unique items (peanut butter, coffee) they are completely OUT of it. Today is the third time they have been out of honey roasted peanut butter when Ive come in - in 2 month. Also, today I also noticed they increased the (already exuberant) price by another $1. Done! I wont be back.

Fantastic grocery store with great options for all sorts of things! But be aware theyre MUCH more expensive typically than other stores in the area. I wouldnt go there for regular grocery shopping, but for specialty goods and the odd special night of groceries Id make it my first stop.

LOVE it! Absolutely beautiful place! Beautiful candles and flowers! Amazing meat section! Cute indoor and outdoor cafe seating! They have a deli and salad bar and high class wine section! They also have a slightly wider variety of healthy/organics than Martins! :) <3

Cashier was not very kind this time. Usually during my visits Im always offered utensils or chopsticks. This time the cashier had an attitude on her face and did not offer anything but "have a good night" and cold tone.

Good for specialty items, cheese, beer, coffee meat/fish, mainstream fruits and vegetables. Not a one stop shop, but good as a supplemental grocery.

Great deals on food. Not your family weekend shop for everything place, but best quality meat of any grocery store in Winchester.
