Best quality meat, seafood and produce in Charlottesville. Keep in mind, this is not a supermarket, this is a collection of markets ( bakery, butcher, produce stand, florist, etc.) under one roof. The prices are higher than a supermarket, but the quality of the food is better. Produce from National chains is picked so green that there is no flavor whatsoever because it needs the shipping time. The meat also seems to be better cuts. It is comparable to Whole Foods with two major differences. 1) Parking is much easier than that nightmare of a parking lot in Charlottesville. and 2) it is more intimate and friendly than the Whole Foods. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about their areas.

We find this store delightful to shop at, and, its closer to us than Whole Foods. Their cupcakes are the best I have ever had, even better than the famous Georgetown Cupcakes and a whole lot cheaper! I dont think they are any more over priced than Whole Foods. In fact, I find Whole Foods to be way over priced! I shop here all the time and if I cannot find a product the department manager is more than happy to order it for me to stock in the future! If I absolutely cannot find it or they are not able to get it, I break down and go to Whole Foods. If they ever close this store down or move it, Im following it!!

I drink Synergy Organic Kombucha, which Fresh Market now sells for $3.99 a bottle. Kroger sells it for $3.19, and this morning I saw it at Walmart for $3.17 a bottle. Also, I have had to report two or three times that people serving me salads from the deli section were not wearing gloves, and notice how, because of the shape of their deli cases, servers have to stick their whole head into the case to get the items that are in the front row, breathing over everything, sleeves brushing onto some of the other items. Yuk!

I am so happy to have Fresh Market in Charlottesville, the workers are so nice and helpful, I shop almost everyday is so close to my house, I also enjoy the fresh coffee that everytime that I go, Cheryl who works in the Deli section is so nice and friendly the same like Miss Trudy who works in the Candy section always offering a sweet to my little girls, the products are fresh everything is great and so convenient...

I love Fresh Market. The product offerings, fresh flowers, fruits & veggies. Customer service is really attentive and best of all…..easy parking. I lived in Greensboro, NC, where they started and I was so glad to see them here, as I really missed them!

Bought a dozen chicken leg quarters at The Fresh Market yesterday, 12/21/16, for a dinner party tonight. Opened the package today and practically fell over from the smell (imagine spoiled chicken + ammonia). Unbelievable!!

My go to grocery store. Walmart for my bulk stuff, FM for my actual meals. Always a great selection and far less crowded than Whole Foods.
