May 18 2014: Let me tell you about Verizon, Yesterday do to my health I did go down, and unfortunately fell on the phone which in turn got broken. I have a condition in which at any time I can lose my balance and fall, thus badly hurting myself. I was lucky this time that I had friends around, and didnt get hurt too badly. The unfortunate thing is I had it in my hands answering a text. I need this phone for health reasons in case something more serious happens to me, I then needs to get a hold of people; but wont be able to do so now! I took my case to Verizon and do you think they would offer any kind of assistance? NO WAY, They tell me I have to go through insurance company which could take days! I even told them I need it for medical emergency, but NO WAY to help ASAP. Ones life could be in jeopardy and they are as cold as they can be! So I go and fill the form out for insurance and then learn there is a $199.00 deductible! This was not disclosed to me at the time I signed up for the insurance. They tell me it was mailed out sometime later. If I had known about the deductible I would never had bought it! I have 5 months to go on my contract and I and Im going to spend $199.00 for such a short time. Still no good offers! THEY DONT WANT TO LEND A HAND TO PEOPLE!!! JUST WHAT IS IN THAT THEM!!! VERIZON WIRELESS RIP OFF: I purchased an iPhone 5-32 almost a year and half ago and paid $200.00 for the new phone. The sales rep asked me if I wanted the insurance it for it will help you if its stolen, lost or broken. Well due to medical problems I fell on it and it broke. When I went to file a claim I was told there would be a $199.00 deductible to replace. THIS WAS NERVER TOLD TO ME! IM TOLD THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY MAILED ME THE INMFORMATION TO ME SOMETIME LATER. If it was explained to me at the time I got the phone I would not have bought it. I have worked for big box stores and know that the sales people are under a great amount of pressure to get credit card aps.; and to sell so many insurance policies. This said and known this sales rep. he might not have been near his required quota so he with held this information from me knowing I might not buy it!! RIGHT!! If you look on Google reviews CONCERNING THE Williston Rd Store, South Burlington Vermont; it will tell you how bad the customer service is; this just another example!!! So I spent $200.00 for a new phone, $190.00 for the insurance, now they want $199.00 for a refurbished phone! What a rip off! Now they have my phone, and I am under contract to pay each month for 5 months for a phone I will have no service for. Again a rip off. BEWARE OF VERIZONM THEY ARE A MAJOR BIG RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a Spectrum 2 in July of 2013; this week on Tuesday, January 28th of 2014 my phone mysteriously stopped working in the middle of my work day. Despite that the phone still had some of the original plastic film covering, no water damage (i.e. the little white strips with red ink on the battery were not compromised), and had no other visible damage the representatives at this store seemed to be searching for something, anything, that would void my warranty. Throughout this witch-hunt of a process the first representative I spoke with (his name was Eric) pretty much ignored me; it was eventually decided that my charging port had signs of corrosion and that I would need to use my insurance to cover a replacement phone at which point Eric completely walked away to flirt with another young employee leaving me to speak with two other equally rude representatives. Our interaction ended with me speaking with a rather large woman named Angie, who Eric referred to as "boss" (possibly in an attempt to intimidate me?), who turned her back to me while I was still speaking and then abruptly ended our conversation by saying "have a nice day" in a harsh and entirely off-pointing tone. Not once did anyone from this store admit that this could have been a random malfunction in my device nor did they apologize for any inconvenience the instance had caused; instead I was told that the case I had been using was not sufficient and that I should purchase a new one if I dont want "this" to happen to my phone again. After this whole debacle at the Williston Road store I brought my phone to the store on Shelburne Road where I was treated respectfully by a very friendly and very apologetic employee; this gentlemen did not find any damage on the device and attempted to file a warranty claim for me only to find out that the Williston Road staff had contacted the warranty department to void my claim before I could even file it; I went home and did a little investigation of my own and found that the said "corrosion" was a speck of dirt that was easily removed with the tip of a sewing needle. To make a long story short my recommendation would be to avoid this store at all costs and to initially bring any and all business to the Shelburne Road store instead. P.S. Eric and Angie unfortunately for you I cannot imagine that it is very easy to make ends meet when you are absolutely deplorable at your commission-based position; no wonder you are such miserable people!

Disgusting. Absurd. Tiresome. Useless. The disgustingly condescending manners of the jerks at this place speak volumes about their utter stupidity of the products sold - and about the options available to customers. These jerks neither listened to what I was saying - and the racist! yes RACIST manager - then demanded to see my ID (this after the initial sales guy went to get a replacement phone, which I was entitled to since the extremely malfunctioning one I had was purchased just 10 days ago) . The moronic manner of the manager - who didnt understand phone apps and seemed to know little to nothing about the Samsung phone itself - took nearly an hour trying to tell me my phone was not "broken" yet ignored the problems I showed him. Well, dipsh*ts! Went to Cellular Sales in Essex Junction, where the phone was replaced immediately - without need of my showing an ID - and guess what? It was charged and didnt get super hot (one of my complaints); its video remains intact and on while I am using it (another one of my complaints) and the keyboard no longer gets stuck. THIS PLACE IS FULL OF MORONS MASQUERADING AS SALES PEOPLE. I WOULDNT BUY DOG POOP FROM THEM. Then - to top it all off - the ignorant manager sent me to the wrong store, despite the dealer showing me how the correct dealer is shown on my account. WASTE. OF. TIME.

The management and employees need training in Customer Service immediately!!!! I called ahead to put my name in for a certain time knowing the Note 7 Recall was going to make it even more miserable to be in this store, boy was I right! I got there and they never took my name, mind you Im a longtime customer with Verizon that spends $500 to $1,000 a month! The person that greeted me told me I would have to wait 30 to 45 minutes, yes I was very upset at this point, but expected this type of service, hate this store. Then I overheard the manager take a call about the Note 7 Recall and told the person on the phone, they were all out of replacements and wasnt sure of a new shipment, yes Im furious at this point, as they would have made me wait that whole time without saying a damn word! Needless to say I voiced my concerns to the manager so others could hear, as I knew others were waiting for a phone that wasnt in stock, yes you could see they were pissed too! The service in this store today was absolutely unacceptable, sure its a Samsung Recall, but the Customer Service was ridiculous! CORPORATE you need to clean this place out, get people in that care, know whats going on, and treat their customers like humans not a number or a dollar sign!!
