Worse experience with a business in my entire life. If we had known there was better options when we needed a car, we would have never bought from JD Byrider and their financing company CNAC. At first the service we received was fairly nice, the sales rep was very sweet and we were treated like royalty. Once we left the open arms of the sales people and had to then deal with CNAC and the horrible customer service and disrespect given, the honeymoon was over. We were not treated as valued customers, instead treated like petulant children that needed to be controlled. On several occasions Ive had to fight and argue with, not regular employees, but management. Ive been condescended to, scoffed at, and sneered at by people that should show the utmost professionalism. After switching my insurance in December 2015 (not knowing I had to because CNAC had dealt with helping to switch my insurance previously) I allowed the new insurance to include a $1000 deductible. After providing CNAC a new proof of insurance at the beginning of January, I received a call from CNAC requesting I lower the deductible to $500. I agree to it. My fault was to forget ( I was called during business hours at work and had to get off the phone) that I needed to lower the deductible. So next time I go to pay my car payment, I find I am being charged for insurance through CNAC. I refused, told them I would have it corrected asap, and told them I was only going to pay my normal payment. They refused to take my payment (after a verbal altercation with an employee and a manager) until I provided proof of the lowered deductible. I would get calls starting the Thursday before my payment was due harassing me for my payment that would continue till I made it into or called in to make my payment. All this is not including the sub-par vehicle that they sold us. From two weeks after selling me the car I have had a check engine light that no matter how many times we replace/fix the issue, will not correct it. Last summer we paid for the AC to be fixed as it was not covered under their horrible warranty. We were told it was fixed and, indeed, it worked for the rest of the summer. However, this summer when the weather turned warm and I went to run the AC it did not work again. When we took it to a friend to look at it, they informed us that there was a leak in the system. So it was never truly fixed like they had claimed. In order to get out of the upside-down bad equity of their so-called great deal loans, weve taken a huge payment at a reputable dealership that worked FOR us to get us a really great car for no down. JD Byrider and CNAC, I hope you and your horrendous business practices catch up to you very soon so you stop taking advantage of hard working people and their money. Me? Ill be enjoying my new 2016 Volkswagen Passat. Peace.

I went into JD Byrider with my wife about 2 weeks ago because we needed a new car. We were lured in because of an ad on Offer Up that a "customer" supposedly posted about their great experience that they had and how low of a down payment they had to make and how good of monthly payments they got with their bad credit. They gave us the number, we called and found out it was JD Byrider. (Sounds like a fishy marketing tactic to use, dont you think guys?). I had heard bad things about these guys, but despite my initial feelings from what I heard, we went in to see what they had. We never even made it out to look at the cars after 2 hours filling out credit applications. Granted, I dont have great credit and thats why I went into these guys to see what they could do for me. Instead, I left JD Byrider being told that they wanted $1000 down, our payments would be between $400 to $500 a month (not what their deceptive marketing promised with low down and low monthly payments) and that I needed more information from my paystubs (even though I gave them my paystubs which shows everything on them). The lady in the credit department was a bit rough on the outside. My wife and I felt like we were being interrogated by the German SS from World War 2 as she examined our credit reports. The sales guy was nice. Seemed to have good intent. Again, I was disappointed that we couldnt see the prices of the cars on the lot. All they wanted to do is get us started on paperwork and run a hard credit check on all three of the credit bureaus. So now here I am, my credit score violated even more from the hard inquiries, getting solicitations because they sold my phone number and email address to other people, and still in the same predicament that I was in when I got there, but with a very bitter taste in my mouth now. Heres what I see happening now. JD Byrider will respond to this review, trying to look like that good guys, apologizing for my negative experience and asking me to call so and so at such and such phone number. Whatever!!! I just wanted this to be heard so others could hear my story. I hope you all learn from this.

1 star is a high rating for what I had to deal with. First car that I test drove broke down on the rest drive. Second car that I went for a tester on I fell inlove with and decided this was the one so I went back after a little while and said sold I want this one, we had already discussed price of what I can and can not afford before hand so I assumed that only cars in my price range would have been showen to me. Not the case! After we get going on the paper work and I have already spent half of my day looking at only 2 cars because thats how long it takes them to show you 2 cars he comes back and tells me he messed up and had showen me a car WAY over my price range and he kept trying to sell me on the car I couldnt afford. I do not live in salt lake and my current vehicle had broken down and I needed to get back home to get back to work the next day plus I had a referral from a friend later I found out that was only because they get $300 for referring me. On to the 3rd car, so I told them my price again I even talked with the manger to make sure they werent putting me in something over the price I wanted and he assured me that would not happen again so I test drive the car and like it so I say Ill take it. We get to doing the paperwork and again the car is over priced this time only by $500 so I tell him the manager assured me this wouldnt happen and here we are. The sales guy goes to talk to the manager and by this time it is 9pm at night Im tired and just need to get home. Now the computer syatem is fown and i have to wait even longer. The manager refused to take the $500 off. I took the car anyways and I will make sure never to let myself get into a situation like that again. Worst service I have ever had but on a plus note I have taken it to the service departmemt and the manager of that department is freakin awesome and is a big help. At least on that side of the building I dont feel like Im getting jerked around. If you read this before going to this store please hear my warning and stay far far away.
