AWESOME STORE. Best selection of exotic pets and pet supplies. Fish, birds, mammals, and my favorites: reptiles are all sold here. The animals are incredibly healthy and they take perfect care of everything. The reptiles get better care taken of them at this store than most pet owners would, which is great! I will never shop at any other pet store in the state, only this one. Its just as good as reefscapes used to be. Very knowledgeable staff and friendly as well. They care more about the animals than they do about uneducated customers which is how all stores should be. They always put the animals health first. Great customer service, but they wont lie to you about animal care like Petco will so if you want the honest truth ask these guys.

Great Experience!! I went into Petzone in search of some organic dog food(Fromm) I had been searching for on the Internet. I easily found the dog food and was happily shocked by how many flavors Petzone carried. As I was checking out, I told the guy that this is my first time trying out Fromm, he then gave me about 8 single serving packs of the Fromm dog food, and said to try these packets before to see if my dog liked the food before opening up the big bag. I am very picky with my dog care and where I shop for her, and these people are GREAT. I only go to Petzone now for all my needs; toys, food, treats, and collars.

I was curious as to why there are decent reviews for this place. Why was a certain staff member snotty when asked questions about the lack of care and human interaction that the only ferret they have in this so-called pet store was receiving and did it really take away from their time when asked if my boyfriend could see the ferret outside of the poorly kept aquarium? Do these people that run the store actually know ANYTHING about ferret care? How about trimming nails or feeding it a proper ferret diet? How about having a proper cage for it to be living in that hell hole of a store? What a shame Pet Zone-

FORGET THE BIG BOX PETFOOD STORES...This is the BEST place to go In Shreveport/Bossier. Better prices, knowledgeable & courteous customer care and will always order anything you need thats not in inventory. The locally owned and operated business deserves our local support; he is always available for questions and eager to help to give you pet the best care and products. You dont even have to ask for help to get large purchases like bags of food to your car...it still is the little things that go a long way to create GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

We have visited twice since moving here, since it is a bit of a drive for us. We really miss all of the local pet stores we had back home (quite a variety) and finally found out about this place via word of mouth. I definitely prefer shopping at smaller, local shops and this store is what I was looking for. The service is much better than at the big box pet stores. I also like the selection of healthy pet foods more. Not only is the selection of foods and treats good, but they will even order it for you if they arent already carrying it.

I got 6 fish from this place. I knew I should not have gotten them in the first place. The tanks they have are disscusting ,I saw 5 fish dead in one of the tanks. I brought my fish home put them in my tank a they are acting fine. But this morning I woke up and one in already dead. I tested my water and everything is fine. That makes me so mad, fish tanks are not that hard to keep clean and healthy. The people that work there are lazy and WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF THE TANKS.

We have shopped at Pet Zone on Jewella Ave. in Shreveport for years and could not be happier with the products, the service and Raymond, the manager, who always goes the second mile to insure his customers satisfaction. It is the best place to shop for any pet supplies we need. If he doesnt already carry it, Raymond will do what he can to get whatever you need on hand.

Im starting a reef aquarium. I went inside to look at their selections and the staff was great they had already treated the salt water fish for white spots from there travel to the store and was very knowledgeable in every question I had about my size tank. The selection of fish was unmatched in the area. Great store! Great staff!

I go in there every other week for my dogs Capstarr meds, and the staff is always extremely friendly. My son and I also enjoy looking at all the birds and reptiles every time we go. Happy to have a small, more personable (than Petco) place to shop for pet needs. :) And their homemade baked dog treats make my dogs very happy, too!

My family has been going to this store for over 10 yrs now. It is nice to go into a store that is locally owned and operated, instead of these large impersonal, super pet stores. The people here are very friendly and helpful. I cant imagine doing business with any other store. Thanks guys you are great!

This is the best Pet Store I have ever seen and its right here in Shreveport. I have been buying our dog food in Dallas for years but after a friend reccomended this place I will never go anywhere else. The selection is mind blowing. Those big chain box stores are nightmare.......This place just rocks!

Simply amazing I called and asked them if they sold life jackets for small dogs they didnt have any on the shelf they only had some in storage but they said that they would put them out that day we called just for us. mr and my mom. the only prob is that they dont open till lster. but I love the srevice

The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and always happy to help. If they dont have it, they are willing to order it for you, and their prices are unbeatable. I live 2 minutes away from PetCo and PetSmart, but I will ALWAYS drive across town to do business with Pet Zone...they just cant be beat!

We recently got a rat from here, turns out it was sick and died 2 weeks later, Everytime we go to petzone most of their animals are sick, or dead. They cant even take time out of their day to get dead animals out of cages. This place is ridiculous and needs to be shut down.

I love this place. In a world of very few places left with customer service, Pet Zone is one of the few remaining. Every time you walk in the door you are greeted and asked if you need help. They are very attentive and I am always pleased when I leave there.

Best Pet Store in the area. Carrys hard to find items for exotic animals at great prices. The staff is always very helpful and courteous. I lived in Arkansas for a long time and would drive to Shreveport just to come to Pet Zone. Thank God I live closer now.

Love this place. The people are very down to earth and great prices. Bought my Tokay gecko from them and she is doing great. I bought two leopard geckos from Petco and they died within two months . I buy my crickets from them at a great price.
