So I have to say that I dont usually write these, but wanted to give a heads up on this store and Verizon retail in general. 4 strikes against at this point. Ill explain. Our son broke his phone. We didnt do insurance since it was a very basic phone. It was probably time to upgrade him to a basic smartphone anyway. My wife tried to handle this at the retail store in West Jordan and felt like the employee was rude and short with her. She left and refused to do any more on this. Ok, Ill take this, I thought. Ive had a couple of good experiences here at the Draper store when buying, friendly sales people in general so I grabbed my son and headed over there. Im reasonable and just wanted to get my options on this issue. Yes, I want the absolute best deal, but Im reasonable. Over 3 visits I dealt with 4 employees, including an assistant manager. First visit, I was told about 1 promotion that could help get a new phone for my son and lower our bills, I would just need to bring in a working phone to trade in. No biggie, went and found a working phone, activated it and went back the next day to do that. Nope. Thats not even possible I was told. The original employee wasnt in so they blamed her for misunderstanding. Ok, so now Im frustrated. I asked what else could be done and was told about another promo. Not a great plan for us but could be the best option we were going to have. I went home to consider it and talked it over with my wife. Decision made, lets do this. I went in to get the new phone on this promo and was told no, we cant do that, it expired. I explained that Id been told about it the very day before. Assistant manager, standing right there chimed in, no theres nothing we can do here, that was a misunderstanding and that promo is only for the independent resellers. Ok, so they just sent me out of their store to have me give my money to someone else. Huh? Off to another store. Turns out the independent stores also didnt have the aforementioned promo either. Nice job V-team. I would suggest: A. training on your current promos B. empowering your employees to make customers happy C. never sending someone out the door to another place, match the dang offer (includes the powers mentioned in item B) I like Verizons network. It is better when Im in the boonies and travelling. But that may not make up the difference for the inept customer service and highest prices in the industry. Headed to the other carriers to check out options immediately.

Like everyone else says. The customer service here is a joke. I only go here to make payments, since its close to my work. Otherwise I avoid this place like the plague. Every time I walk in, the greeting rep is always nose deep in their personal phone, take about 6 seconds to look up and lazily say "Can I help you". The last time I was there was a complete joke. I gave the person $22 to make a $12 payment. He walks back with $8 hands it back to me and runs off to go talk to another associate. Standing dismayed at confirming my incorrect change. I have to make eye contact with someone else and say I was given incorrect change. It is laughed off and said that the other employee doesnt know how to count, and Im given the additional $2. And the original employee, just sits there giving me a dirty look. Guess that makes sense, that me not liking being ripped off would offend you. Besides any question you have about anything besides making a payment, the stores response is always "Call customer support" Seriously? What can you even do in the store? Just a bunch of lazy people who suffer from even lazier leadership. If it wasnt for a corporate discount I would still be with T-Mobile. As I was in the store I overheard a salesman completely lie to a customer. He said that Apple doesnt release a new phone except for every couple years. So dont worry the iPhone 6s will stay top of the line for years. Dont go to this store if youre looking for knowledgeable, and helpful staff, or if customer service is important to you. If customer service is important, just dont have cell phone service. All the stores, call centers, for all providers is just abysmal. Definitely raises the blood pressure with every interaction, especially at this store.

I didnt have a good experience. When I came into the store, a rep was about 15 feet from the entrance leaning against a wall. I told him my problem with my phone and that I was considering an upgrade. He took my name and told me someone would be with me. I saw from this name tag that he was an assistant manager so I asked "can you help me"? He said "no". The store wasnt very busy. It had maybe 3 or 4 groups of people browsing or talking to a rep. I browsed for a while and then started looking around to see if I could figure out how much longer it would be. I noticed there were two reps in black shirts. They were the only ones helping customers. The other 4 were in tan shirts and were standing around. Total of at least 6 employees and only 2 were interacting with those in the store. The assistant manager (Doug Holyoak) I talked to when I came in stood around in front of the counter. Another rep wandered by the tablets looking at his own phone. Two more were standing back behind another desk at the rear of the store. I asked the assistant manager why he cant help customers and he said "he doesnt have access to the accounts, we all have different jobs". Dont all of their jobs include helping customers. Why wouldnt Verizon give the assistant manager access to help customers? Why wouldnt they cross-train employees to help customers when someone is waiting? I dont know the reason behind their system, but I do know that from a customers perspective, it is irritating. I eventually just left without getting helped...

I dont believe Ive ever had a more unpleasant experience at a Verizon store than I had here today. I wasnt even greeted when I walked in. Had to stand at the counter for a few minutes before I was finally acknowledged by a man who makes Ben Stein look like a wild and lively guy. The customer service associate that I dealt with lacked enthusiasm and seemed like hed rather be anywhere than at work, complete with eye rolls while working with me...a fellow associate thought it was a good idea to walk over and turn up his rock music during the transaction, which got way overwhelming, I had to actually ask that it be turned down to a tolerable level so I could think again...never will I go back. Canceled my purchase and left. Also, he tried to tell me, without even looking it up, that my iPhone trade in was only worth $68!! After taking it to another much friendlier and more knowledgeable Verizon location, it was over double that! Save your time and sanity, and find a store who knows what it means to take care of their customers and act like they actually value them. I went to the Fort Union location after leaving here and received stellar service. I hope whoever manages this store realizes that their employees are costing them money and losing sales, and instill some real customer service skills and professionalism in them, for the sake of their business.
