I just moved into the area and was excited to find that there was a bike shop right down the street. I rode over and dropped off my bIke to have the shifter adjusted. I was told that it was a simple fix and that the repair would be done by the end of the day or early the next day. As the day passed, plans came up and so I called to see if I should plan on picking up the bike soon or if it would likely be the next day (no big deal either way, just wanted to plan out my day) The guy on the other end responded as if I had insulted him and basically told me it would be done when its done. Two days passed and I went by to check on it and it was sitting out in front of the shop, no lock or cover from the rain, and had not yet been repaired. I asked the guy when it would be done and he said by the end of the day with a look and tone of annoyance. When I came back at the end of the day it had not budged from where it was left. A different guy was in the shop at this point ( he was actually very nice and helpful) and when I told him what was going on he seemed to understand what I was dealing with (I am almost certainly not the first person to have a similar encounter and he seemed to feel bad) and immediately took the bike inside and did the repair. It took less than fifteen minutes. I cant understand how a business can be run this way. I will definitely not return and encourage you to find another shop if you have the means. These people do not deserve your money and certainly dont care about getting your business.

This is the place to go for commuter bikes and cruisers. They carry some nice brands for that. They seemed to carter to the art/punk crowd. I almost bought two cruisers from them but they were just to pricey (the brand is a pricey brand so I dont know how theyre prices compare to other dealers). The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have gladly done business with them if my budget allowed. I really like the ride up atmosphere of the shop. If I need a new cruiser Ill be saving for one of their sweet rides but at that day of shopping when I went to them and I couldnt afford two (one for my wife and I) at the time.

bb that i purchased "brand new" lasted 2 months before i had to buy a whole new crankset and bb, terrible customer service, once i noticed my bb rumbling and clanking while i rode my bike i took it in for them to look at they said "yea we will get to it it 2 days" fast forward two weeks and i go to pick up my bike, the red grips that i had got for my bike were now faded to a dull pink, my bolts were all gathering rust, THEY JUST KEPT MY BIKE OUT IN THE RAIN FOR A WEEK, and they DID not care to fix my bb , they then tried to charge me 50+ for a tune up that i didnt ask for??! TERRIBLE BIKE SHOP DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Awesome bike rentals, rented 3 bikes on Saturday morning (get there at 10:00, because they go quick) did the Riverwalk trip from Blue Star to the Zoo...beautiful ride...kills the B-cycle bikes I tried two weeks ago (had to check in to a station every 30 minutes), highly recommend this place for rentals...dropped under $50 for the day for three 7 speed bikes

If youre not coming to blue star youre wasting your time. They were very courteous and knowledgeable in helping me get a bike repaired. I know nothing about bikes and they walked me through it and educated me. Jimmy did the repairs very quickly and the prices were absolutely than reasonable. If youre in the area, this needs to be your regular shop...

Great service and a large selection of bikes make this a great place to rent a bike for the Mission Trail. Its 9 mile ride to the furthest of the four missions, so try to get there early and pack a lunch if you want to do the whole set. We made it to two of them in four hours. The guys in the shop were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend it.

This guy named Jason was good but when I spoke to anyone else they seemed like I ruined there day when I asked for assistance on purchasing fenders and Handel bars and so if your go to blue star ask for Jason not anyone else IF NOT GO TO CHARLIE A JAMES BIKE SHOP THERE SMALLER AND NORE FRIENDLY

Was blown off by this shop on three separate occasions in the laSt month since new mgmt took over. I will NEVER go back. The lack of customer service I have received for some thing as simple as a flat tire and loose chain has been rediculous!!

Terrible service. Walked in to get a bike was not greeted at all. Was in there for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged, even though there was 2 people behind the counter. Guess my jorts werent tight enough or my beard wasnt long enough.

This bike shop meets brew pub is one of a kind in San Antonio. Really if youre looking for the Austin Atmosphere in SATX this is the place. Great service, Great Beer, and Great Prices in the bike shop. Jimmy is one of kind.
