I want to like this place cause its small and the owner was very nice. The other posts say things like for true bikers and all, but Im just an enthusiast I guess. Problem was the other employees, and I dont know if it was a regular or some hippie or something that was there. I went in to schedule to get my bike tires and wheels serviced. First thing that happened was I was told it would take till the next day, which was no biggie. The rub was that while Im talking to the employee, theres some random hippie off to the side sitting in a chair mocking me. Then the owner came in and said he could knock it out on the spot. So I came back later with my bike and the owner had stopped out. I spoke to another employee, who I recognized cause she cut me off on the road with her bike, but she wouldnt listen to me that I had already spoke to the owner and he said he could take care of my bike today. She would not even completely listen to what I needed. Her main focus was telling me that it would take till the next day. Luckily the owner came in, she did the attitude "he wants to talk to you" to the owner, and he squared me away. I wanted to like this place, but I cant cause it shows an attitude that doesnt welcome new people or something. The fact that some guy who is comfortable enough to be sitting in there chilling and openly mocks customers, then the girl who wanted me to leave my bike and come back the next day cause she just could not listen kills it. Oh yea, and the finish, me and the wife get food and as were driving back by the store, half an hour before close, the entire staff except the owner are outside at the coffee shop next door chilling. People take breaks, and everyone is busy, but the last 30 mins is the home stretch. To be that busy and all, but be on break on the last 30 mins says something. Theres something wrong with my bike today. From what Im looking at its gonna cost me between 60 and 100 bucks to fix, and thats if I dont buy whatever accessories, but Im not going there. Ive worked hard enough for some hippie not to treat me like that. UPDATE: So I originally went to get my tires changed and a general tune up. Had to go to another shop for tune up and noticed my valve stems were different sizes. Turns out although they replaced my factory tires and tubes, I got different tubes and they put my tires on backwards.

Overall it was not a great experience there. The staff members make you feel unwanted and their unwillingness to help is disappointing. I would not recommend coming here. Stopped by around closing time, which I didnt know at the time, to get help on buying some parts for my mountain bike. I took in my rear wheel hoping to buy a sprocket removal tool. After the staff looked at my bike for a few minutes, I was handed the tool. So I purchased it assuming they know what theyre doing. Obviously its a bike shop. Before leaving I noticed that the size and teeth patterns didnt seem right. So after opening the package and testing out the tool, turns out it didnt fit. Now I still havent left the parking lot at this time. I walk back in to let them know they had given me the wrong part but all they do is push me away asking me to come back tomorrow. Its closing time, bikes have been brought in and they are ready to go, so am I, I know this. So why would you still invite me in, sell me the wrong part, then refuse to help me fix your mistake? Okay, maybe a second chance since it is closing time. Come the next morning to get the right tool. Bring in my wheel and spoke to a different staff memeber and explained that I had been sold the wrong tool. He grabs the tool and issues me a refund. Then looks at me like he is waiting for me to leave. Wait I didnt want a refund I want the proper tool thats why I came in. He tells me that he has the tool but will not sell it to me. What?! At this point Im done. All I want to do is get out. I try to ask him for some information about which is the proper tool needed and where I could find it. No help whatsoever. Thanks for nothing Bike Shop.

This is hands down the best shop in town. I live about 12 miles away and refuse to go to any other shop. The staff is the perfect collection of true riders, brilliant in their craft and always greet you with a smile, some water, and the most honest perspective on how to fix or modify your current bike. Dont think this is some yuppie rich kid shop though. Multiple times I have needed tubes, tires, pedals, or something random replaced. What other repair shop sells you the part at the best price in town and then let me borrow the tools I needed to fix my bike in front of the shop on a couple occasions without trying to charge "service fees" or any nonsense? SAN ANTONIO BIKE SHOP. If you do need their expertise in a mod or repair, dont waste your time shopping around. You will not find anything close to the knowledge, skill, or craftsmanship in San Antonio and at the best price. You can tell these guys arent in this for the money or the profit margin, they are true riders who should (if they havent already) realize that they are the best shop in S.A. because their service, staff, knowledge, dedication, and just being the coolest cats you can meet on two wheels in this town.

Went for tune up and tube replacement. Was told it would be two to three days before done. Cool with that since been raining and wasnt gonna ride anyway. However, I was called within two hours notifying me bike was ready! I advised I wouldnt be able to pick up until next day. When I did I noticed tire was a bit soft. Didnt think much of it tho. I got home aired it up to the max and put in garage until rain subsided a few days later. Noticed it was completely flat. Bottom line is I doubt they did anything other than put air. By the time I went to pick up it was already going flat again. I replaced tube myself. Guess if you want things done right you have to do em yourself. This place sucks and hope they enjoyed their latte next door with my hard earned money. Last round on me

Recently been shopping for bikes and started learning about bikes first using a friends old hardtail and fixing it up. Visited the store and bought a rear derailleur here, got great service that day no doubt. However both times I have called the shop with simple questions, the phone has been answered by an impatient, not helpful girl who sounds super stoned. Both times I have called, she starts to claim that she cant hear me because the line has static. Ironic, since I never have problems with signal with in city limits. When I called back, she ignored my calls, all 7 of them. Guess I know what shop I will not be buying my bike from after all.
