This is by far, the WORST experience Ive had with a bike shop in San Antonio. My boyfriend and I purchased tune ups for our bikes from groupon. My boyfriend took his bike in the day before I took in mine. They called and said his was ready. He had just purchased the bike from Target and the owner of the bike shop noticed there was a broken screw in the tire but didnt repair it. That was my boyfriends experience. I come in with my bike the day hes there to pick his up. As I walk my bike up to the owner I smile and said, "Hey there, hows it going?" The guy snivels a bit and says (about my bike) "well, that bike is alright I guess, I mean its better than a Huffy." and he starts to laugh. My issue is this...I just walked into your establishment and said hello hows it going and before greeting me, the owner chose to insult my bike instead. I have a decent Schwinn. I paid about $350 for it. At the time, I was 100lbs heavier and needed something that worked with my weight and something I could afford. This guy doesnt know me, or know my situation. I came to this shop for help in tuning up my bike and cleaning it. I also needed new brake pads and I needed a spoke put in. Right after we bring the bikes home, my boyfriend had a seizure and fractured his back. Not even two weeks after that happened he broke his leg so we have not had a chance to ride our bikes yet together. I went to take my bike out this past week and discovered that I had paid these guys an additional $20 to replace my spoke. It was actually just tucked inside another spoke and not replaced at all. I also didnt get a run down of services performed like my boyfriend did. Please dont waste your time by taking your bike here. You wont get what you pay for!!!

Bike City sucks. The people who work here are practically incompetent when it comes to repairing bicycles. Theyre not even bikers themselves. Never trust a bicycle repair man who doesnt ride a bike to work. I brought my bike in for an overhaul and they completely effed it up. After waiting for well over a week to have my bike returned to me, I had to bring it back the very next day due to the fact that is was not ride-able. Apparently they did not install the tube correctly. Nor did they true the rear wheel that they had replaced. Then, after they supposedly fixed what they had messed up in the first place, my bike got a flat tired due to their carelessness in replacing the tube. The hole in the tube was on the inside, against the wheel, not the outside. So it was obviously their fault for it being there. It was not a puncture hole from running over anything, I hadnt even ridden it yet. Needless to say, I was very frustrated after having to deal with these jokers. After calling them up and telling them about the flat, they said they didnt warranty bicycle tubes! Can you believe that? They were at fault! Again! Fortunately, the guy over at Bike World fixed the mess these guys made of my bike for free. Thats right. For free. BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE FOR REPAIRS TO BIKE CITY!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. Take it to Bike World where they actually care about bikes. And yes, the people at Bike World are bikers. So you can trust them. Stay away from Bike City. Worst bike shop ever.

I took my bike to bike city in june 2017. The only interaction i had with anyone here was with the white guy that wears colorful socks(i dont know his name). He was also the one that repaired my bike. After trying to sell me unnecessary items for my bike, i finally agreed to let him repair my brake cables, which according to him were not allowing my bike to brake correctly, due to the most minimal rust, that could probabaly be cleaned off with a paper towel. Once he took my order he kept mispronouncing my name, and even tried telling ME how MY NAME is "supposed" to be pronounced according to him. I went to pick up my bike a week after dropping it off, only to get the news that he wasnt able to fix the issue (which never really was an issue), he said was being caused by the "rusty" cable. Not only was the "issue" not fixed but now it was worse, he left the cable with like 1.5 inches of play, and still charged me 15 dollars, 5 for the cable and 9 for the "labor" (+tax). He now tried to say it was a spring issue, just like he first said it was a "rust" issue. I got home and fixed the issue myself by simply loosening the tensioner screw and adjusting the cable. This honestly took me 2 minutes total. I havent gone back to bike city to complain in person because I havent had time, but i will be going back as soon as I get a chance. I will edit this review after, if anything posotove comes out of their part.

The absolutely worst place I have ever bought my bike. I asked them to put on an internal hub. I showed them my hub, and asked them "Can you do it?". They said "yes". Boy, were they mistaken. They called me in and told me my bike was ready. I go in, and its not ready. Four weeks later, I decided to call them. They finally get their act together (so I thought) and told me to pick up my bike the next day. I rode it around the back and it seemed alright. When I got it home and rode it more, the shifter would only shift into three of the eight gears. The pedals would feel like they were slipping after I shifted. I take it back, they tell me its alright. These clowns managed to throw out my perfectly good rear tire in the process. They threw out my handlebar plastic end piece. They threw out my rear reflector. They screwed up almost as much as you could possibly screw up. They even forgot to tighten my rear brakes. I had to take it to another shop so they could fix my hub so it would shift properly. I was out all $120 to these people. They refused to give any of my money back. They did replace me thrown out rear tire with a miss-sized replacement (35c vs. 32c front). Dont ever take your bike here for service, you wont get any.

The worst customer service from the owner. We had a problem with a repair and the owner did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. I tried to offer resolutions and he would not budge at all. Then he stormed away saying he had never experienced anything like this in 43 years! Seriously, you have never made a mistake and had the customer give you a chance to rectify the issue in a kind and mature manor? We ended up getting our bike back in pieces and took it to another shop that understands how to treat customers. Worst part....the other shop told us we only needed HALF of what this man had sold us and we were willing to pay! SMH....Horrible...
