Dont let them fool you that you have to make an appointment to test drive the new 2017 F-Pace R-Sport, just pull up to the dealership, theyll take you without one, total VIP experience, you cut right in front of anyone whose made an appointment!! (Im being sarcastic) Pretty damn aggravating when youre the one that made an appointment because supposedly its "required" but in the end it takes no precedence over someone who literally just pulled up. The Sales Manager walked out, and even with us standing there like idiots waiting for our sales rep to test drive the F-Pace R-Sport, he just walks on by to the couple and didnt even ask them, "hey do you have an appointment, oh you dont, well you need one because its whats been told to the people that are watching me right now with daggers in their eyes because they did set one and theyve been waiting 15 minutes, but its ok, lets take it for a spin!" Then we confront him and he tries to compensate by asking if we want to drive the other F-Pace that isnt R Sport, yea ok let me drive the other one that doesnt have the same motor or any of the accessories that the R-Sport has that I specifically stated I wanted to drive and built online already and set an appointment for and have been waiting. How about the people that DIDNT have an appointment drive that one! Just sayin! Its like ordering a steak and they offer you fish, its not the same! Thank you Barrett Jaguar for a distasteful experience! Well be taking our business else where.

I have never intended to lease or buy a Jaguar nor was in my search list of cars as BMW and Audi, for I had past bad experience when Ford owned Jaguar. During my search on the internet Jaguar kept popping on my search list as one of the best cars, specifically Jaguar XE 35t. In lieu of not wanting to look at Jaguar I decided to give it a go and contacted Barrett Jaguar for test drive after test drove BMW 340i and Audi A4. I test drove with Jason, Barrett Jaguar sale, the Jaguar XE 35 Prestige, I now own, with quite of skepticism in mind. From the moment I sat in the car I knew this car is nothing I could ever predicted on so many levels, starting from car workmanship with emphasis to details, features and to top it all the performance, responsiveness. I personally do not like to drive in spite that I drove Audi A4 for years, but Jaguar XE 35t far exceeded my wildest anticipations of what car is. Every time I drive the car I smile because it is so great simply put I Love my car, and named her “Speedy” not to mention I intended to keep her for many years to come. As to the team at Barrett Jaguar they are wonderful and they made sure to have the purchase process as simple and fast, my hat is off to you guys. As final Note, what you read is my personal and honest impression and I am NOT representative of Barrett Jaguar aside from being a customer and I believe if one does a good job it shouldn’t go without noticed. Thanks.

Took a used Jaguar to Barrett that we were thinking of purchasing, so they could give us an opinion on it. BJ said it was in great shape and had been well cared for. Said they had even serviced the car and had some maintenance records. Not even 6 months later I take it in for an oil change and they find potentially $5,000 in repairs in the "yellow zone." Funny how a car deteriorates in just 5 months, huh. Then, to top it off, the car is riding very rough on the drive home, the steering wheel vibrating badly. I immediately took it in to the guys who installed 2 new tires on the vehicle a couple of months ago. Lo and behold, tire guy told me each of the 4 tires was overinflated almost exactly 12 pounds beyond MAXIMUM pressure. He shook his head and told me each tire measured 56 psi!!! The car had a perfectly smooth ride before I took it to BJ that morning, so it is clear they overinflated the tires on purpose to give me a rough ride; one of their "yellow" areas was the tires needed balancing. So theyd have made $250 had I returned it to them. I will NEVER take my Jaguar back to Barrett Jaguar as I think their service department suggests unnecessary repairs and dare I say, even CAUSES issues so youll schedule repairs. They could have caused a blow-out. I am livid. Fraudulent business practices. STAY AWAY.

Ive had my 2012 XJL for 14 months now and actually purchased in my hometown Houston. Ive been coming to Barretts since I bought the car. I havent had any complaints with their service because Joey (no longer there) took great care of me and my car. Its truly the little things that count and him knowing that I was bringing my car in to be serviced he would make sure my loaner was ready for me when I arrived, plus when it was time to pick up my car it was clean, parked up front when I arrived. Having a trusted service manager is practically like a relationship so you can imagine my disappointment to learn Joey was no longer there and having to start all over with someone new that didnt know my expectations. Given that Barrett has changed their loaner process and using Enterprise I can say that my recent service manager Erica did pretty well given the circumstances of being new to her role. My recommendation is that Barrett go the extra mile for their repeat customers and provide notifications on when they are making changes to our personal service managers or process improvements so that we dont get blind sided when we need servicing or have to plan for extra wait times.

Anyone even remotely considering purchasing a high-performance, luxury automobile really owes it to himself or herself to go to Barrett Motors in San Antonio first; because if you do, there will be no need to go anywhere else! Besides offering the most coveted cars on the road (Jaguar and Maserati), Jeff Harral, Michael Chestney, and the General Manager, Sam Rocha, actually listen to what their customers are saying, and then they pull out all of the stops to put the customer in the car of his or her dreams. It becomes immediately apparent that they are not in the business of "selling cars," they are in business to exceed their customers wildest fantasies with regard to what is possible, and then following-up with service which is second to none. Barrett Motors rocks!! We were just in for our forty thousand mile service on our Jaguar; and, as is always the case, the service experience could not have been better. We have done nothing to our XF except schedule the routine services and replace the tires. Absolutely the most reliable automobile we have ever owned!

My 2004 x-type was getting close to 100,000 miles so it was time for an upgrade. I sent my wife and daughter over to check out a pre-owned 2009 XF. Michael Chestney was very pleasant and patient with my wife and she suggested I go check it out. I went in later that afternoon and met with Michael. He showed me the car I was interested in and we took a test drive. I loved the car so we began negotiating my trade-in and the price of the 09 XF. The entire negotiation took about 20 minutes. Fair give and take on both sides until we agreed on a deal that was within my parameters and was fair to both sides. 10 minutes of paperwork and I was the owner of a beautiful pre-owned 09 XF. I have purchased over 15 vehicles (cars, rvs, and boats) in my lifetime and I have to say the experience with Michael and Barrett Motor Cars of San Antonio was one of the best. Friendly, knowledgeable, and above all fair. Thats all you can really ask from a car dealer and Michael and Barrett hit all 3. Thanks for the great deal and the great car!
