I attempted to purchase an item (Danco Vera Spray) from this particular Ace, but when I arrived to the store I realized that the prive was $2 more than advertised online. I thought to myself that I could surely show the cash register lady (middle aged caucasian lady with short hair) their advertised price online, purchase it and be on with my day. Nope! She told me they were privately owned and that if I bought it online I would have to wait for them to order it, receive it and then pick it up in the store even though the item I would be ordering is starring at both of us in the face on the counter. I seriously hope if this purchasing process is true that yall change it soon, because I can see there being a lot of future sales missed in the future. Like mine today and all of mine in the future P.S. I purchased this same item from home depot for $1 cheaper than Aces online advertised price. P.S.S. Arrange for your (Ace Hardware off of Mason Rd.) employees to take part in a customer service training course. May I suggest "Give em the pickle". The ladies response wasnt exactly rude but wasnt delivered in a way that would make me want to return. With that being said, good luck to you Ace off of South Mason Rd.! Monte

Its a neighborhood Hardware Store. They pretty much dont exist anymore. If I need something quick, this is where I go. I dont expect them them to match on-line prices for Ace. Ace is not a corporation. Its an cooperative of independent stores. Kind of like IGA is a bunch if Independent Grocers. The store isnt going to be compensated by the on-line group if they match. Personally, Im fine with that. I like there is small hardware store very close where I dont have to wander around acres of long aisle to get a few things to complete my home project. Im in an out in a few minutes, there. Do they have everything I need? Not always. But I know in a few minutes and off to the big box store I go. But when they, Ive saved a lot of time. And I guess I have to say this, this isnt really a hardware store. Its half home decor and half hardware. But its a large store for ACE and they do have most things you would need for repairs around the house. I used to go to the Sears Hardware down the street more often, but, Sears ruined that store by moving Appliances there which reduced the amount of home repair items. They are still good for a tool, but ACE is much better for repair items.

My husband and I came to get two panes of glass cut. The first time we came, we got a manager who wasnt very friendly and didnt advise us to cut the glass a little smaller (we are young and this is our first time replacing panes so it would have been nice to know). We drove all the way home to find out of course they were too big. The second time we came, the sweetest man named James helped us out. He said shaving 1/4" off would be risky but we asked him to try and he said he would. He took the time to cut our glass panes by hand. We were so impressed at his customer service and he is the reason we will be coming back to this Ace Hardware. Its the little things that truly show character and we very much appreciated it!

Im a DIYer. The staff working at the aisles are very knowledgeable, unlike most of the Home Depot staff. Ive started coming here since I first moved to Katy in 2011. The staff here have helped me every time I walked in, from paint projects, to small electrical, to appliance installation, to lawn/garden. Theyve even saved me from wasting money, work, and time on Lawn/Garden products that would have no positive effect on my lawns because of seasonal time frames. Its local, quick, and friendly, even on the weekends when weekend warriors are flooding in. Their prices are a little higher than Home Depot, however they make up for it with the service they provide.

I came into purchase a ceiling a/c register. When I asked a service rep if they had any, she told me that they didnt have any, and then asked me if I was referring to a cash register. wth? Good thing I didnt believe what she was saying because I knew they had them (from seeing their website). But I ended up finding it in their plumbing section! wth? Customer service there is useless, and whoever mapped out where items go needs to be fired.

Tried to bring back a ribbon to swap it for a different color, but the lady at the front desk quickly turned around a paper sign someone printed that read: "No Returns". ACE would rather lose a customer for life than swap out an $8 item, or take back an $8 item. I didnt even ask if they would take it back for store credit. Told her I would do my future shopping at WalMart even though its farther away.

Ive been frequenting this location since 2002.its very convenient being 5 minutes from my home. I dont mind paying a dollar or two extra for items because I often walk ton this store. PLUS they have a postal center AND an excellent craft and curious section.Never rude and even the customers are nice to strangers. Rare.Im on my way now!!

I regret my visit to ACE hardware today since it was a profound waste of time, staff were not helpful and seemed annoyed when I sought assistance, the store did not appear to have any customers at the time so I may disrupted their "rest" or "downtime", there are other places of business that are willing and able to assist customers.

Great local hardware store. Perfect for those quick odds and ends you always seem to forget for your project. They always seem to have what you need without the hastle of searching the bigger stores. Helpful staff with the ability to find everything, which is rare nowadays. A good mail counter. And a great kitchen & home boutique

I had to come here to buy a whole bunch of hose fittings that were a complicated setup because I was using them to create a hydraulic piston. And the employee who helped me with it was very knowledgeable and helped me to find all of the right ones for my project. It was a great experience.

They would not match Ace Hardware online prices!!! I thought this was an Ace Hardware Store, it is not, it is an privately owned hardware store with very very overpriced items that will NOT compare prices with Ace Hardware!!! I know, Im as confused as you are. Worst hardware store ever!

I go to an Ace whenever I can rather than to one of the big box home improvement stores. This is one of the nicest Ace stores Ive been in. The staff were all helpful, competent and most importantly easy to find. Great experience!

Very cool stuff, but way over priced. Unfortunately, the staff consistently has zero sense of urgency when it comes to checking people out and being helpful. Unless this store has something I desperately need, I wont go back.

They shouldnt even be allowed to call themselves a hardware store. You cant find anything to complete jobs around the house, unless that job is to buy fancy planters for the porch. Go to Sears, north on Mason.
