If you click on this guys name Devin Villarreal on the positive review below you will see he is a Best Buy employee. My guess is any positive review on here, about this store will be from a Best Buy employee. In all my experience with Best Buy on this purchase was as warm as buying a used car from a cocaine addicted young used car salesman. I originally bought the computer online and was to pick it up at the store. When I arrived to pick it up I waited 10 minutes to be helped. Then I waited 15 minutes more and was told that they did not have it. Then another person who seemed like he cared went to look for it. Another 15 minutes passed and he found it and I completed my purchase. 32 days after purchase I went to load software on that was the reason I bought the computer and could not locate a CD/DVD drive. I went back down to Best Buy and as Rewards member they had all the details of my purchase including the model of the computer I bought. The kid asked me several times in a very condescending way why I needed the CD drive anyway. I asked when I purchased it, to which he replied in a very aggressive tone, "what is it that you want to know?" I replied "I want to know the exact purchase date." He replied,."Well, why?" " I said that I wanted to return the computer if I could because I need the CD drive for the work I am doing with the computer. He then said "well it was 33 days ago let me show you where the external CD drives are for purchase. SO I went to look at them my patience being tried by now. I looked at them and he said "Do you really need a CD drive?" I said pretty bluntly, "I told you the whole reason I bought the computer was to transcribe educational CDs, so yeah, I need the CD drive!" I then told him that I felt like I had been hosed by a used car dealer and left. Later I called Discount Electronics and, to shorten this a bit, after I told him over the phone what model it was they pointed out that the computer DID indeed have a CD drive and the button was hidden in the smooth front of the computer. I wonder why the obnoxious kid at Best Buy didnt point that out. Then 3 weeks later when the USB ports on my computer inexplicably quit working I took it in to Best Buy and was referred to the Geek Squad counter. I have had the computer for 55 days. I waited at the counter for an extended period of time because I was told by the Best Buy employee they would be with me when they got off break. Tristan waited on me and was very polite. He explained that if the issue was a hardware problem there wo0uld be no charge. However if it were software related it would most likely cost me $30 to repair. I agreed and off I went. Came back in 3 days later to check on progress there was none to report. Late the following day I received a call from a man who told me that it was a software problem and it would cost me $$139.00 to resolve the issue, OR for the low, low price of $200.00 they could be me on a service contract. I complained and came and picked up my computer. I brought it home researched the issue online for 30 minutes. Once I began the refresh of Windows 8 it took me 30 minutes to resolve the problem myself. I would assume that for a Geek Squad member to strike the F8 key while the computer was booting up and then choose the I would like to refresh button on the screen then let the program do the rest was worth $139.00 for the incredibly wonderful service I had received, but I dont think so. Never again Best Buy, or Geek Squad.

After receiving a camera for christmas i noticed that the screen on the camera wasnt on right. There was light coming from the edges like the screen itself had not being sealed right... it was very obvious that it wasnt manufactured correctly. To make this short, i returned the camera once before coming to this store because the screen kept having this problem. So i get to best buy only to be attended by this girl who is in a horrid mood. I tell her my problem and that im just there to get an exchange. She rolls her eyes, walks away and throws my receipt on the ground! I proceed to speak to the manager or whoever he was HANS, read the name tag. He was the worst. I explained to him that this was the second camera with the SAME problem. As soon as he pulled up my account and saw that i had already exchanged it before he had the audacity to tell me that if this was the second camera with a bad screen, then that meant that ALL OTHER CAMERAS WERE GOING TO BE THE SAME. I refused to believe that and demanded he exchanged it. He said. "THATS FINE, BUT I DONT THINK THERES ANYTHING WRONG. YOURE JUST WASTING OUR PRODUCT" Its not my fault you guys no longer have re-stocking fees. Dont take it out on me. He leaves and comes back with another camera all boxed up. I was happy. Tell me why half way home i decided to check the box. HE GAVE ME A USED CAMERA! IT HAD BROWN STAINS ON IT, THE TAGS WERE OFF. THE SCREEN PROTECTOR WAS OFF, ALL ACCESSORIES WERE JUST THROWN IN THERE. NOT EVEN PACKAGED! at this point im livid. I call best buy, speak with HANS, tell him im coming back and expect ANOTHER replacement... HE seriously thought that he could get away with giving a used camera that i paid $900 for! Sorry buddy. I get to best buy and HANS is no where to be found. Apparently he had someone else talk to me. The man was nice but he still tried to convince me that "there was nothing wrong" with the camera from earlier. I explained the situation with this one and he came back with yet another replacement camera... i unboxed it in front of them because i wanted to let them know that i wasnt playing games. Tell me why this NEW camera, WAS actually new. The screen didnt seem like it was coming off from the edges and it wasnt DIRTY or previously used, boxed up and put up on a shelf. I only wish HANS had been there with his ignorant self, to prove him wrong. NOT ALL CAMERAS are defective. Needless to say that im happy with camera now. Its perfect. But stay away from this store, i cant stress this enough! Round Rock and Cedar Park have way better customer service! I promise you its worth the trip.

We went to the Georgetown Best Buy to purchase a new washer and dryer. We were told that there wasnt someone available to help us at that time and that it would be a few minutes wait. This was at 7:45 pm. We continued to look through the different washers and dryers. After an hour, we decided on an open box set. The price on the tag said $679.99 each. We finally flagged someone down to check us out since no one came over. When the guy came over, he told us that the open box washers and dryers were in working condition and that they were checked before putting them back on the floor. So when we confirmed which ones we wanted, he told us that the ones we picked were display models and not open box. I showed him where the display models with the display model tags were and he said ok. He went to check with another associate. I also showed him that the sticker on the set we decided on said open box and not display like the others. We were then told that they were an open box set but had been sold several hours earlier. I asked them why they were still out on the floor for sale. He responded that they were too busy to move them off the floor or to put a sign on them. Keep in mind that it was closer to closing time and the store was not busy at this time. There were several associates standing around talking. I called in to speak with the manager and was told by the guy who helped us that the manager was Bill. I was put on hold for several minutes before Bill picked up the line. It turns out that Bill was the associate who came over to tell us that the washer and dryer were not for sale. Attached you will find photos of the above mentioned washer and dryer. You will see that they have open box tags and did not have a sold sign on them. Also, you will notice that these items do have scratches and are not a new display model. I think it is false advertising to have something for sale then tell me I cant buy it after spending an hour deciding on the set we want. If it was the case that they were sold, then there should have been a sign stating that they were sold. Then I call in to customer service and they tell me that they can sell them to me over the phone. Then I was transferred and hung up on. I cant believe a place with a geek squad can have so many technical difficulties Then I went in today and was told that the item was discontinued and that just because they had an item on the floor doesnt mean they have to sell it to me.
