Possibly the WORST florist in NYC. End to end, my experience with this so-called professional floral business was the worst experience I have ever had with any company. Stay clear of this business. I wouldnt be surprised if the previous 5 star reviews for Chelsea Florist were posted by "friends" of the business instead of real satisfied customers. I called to have 1 dozen, fresh-cut white or pink asiatic lilies delivered to a location that was just around the corner by 5PM the same day. Prior to placing my order, I asked if they had the specific flowers and if they could do the delivery by 5PM the same day align with a card, to which the women taking my order replied yes. Failure 1 - 5PM came and went and the flowers still had not been delivered to the destination that was just around the corner. Failure 2 - After calling to inquire, they inform me that my order is in a van that is making deliveries throughout the city. Failure 3 - The contact the flower recipient asking for an alternate delivery location, ruining the surprise. Failure 4 - after 4 hours of supposedly attempting to deliver the flowers to our home in NYC, the delivery driver calls to say that they cant find our address in their GPS system and ask if they can deliver to another location the next morning. Failure 5 - The next morning, the flowers are delivered and are in the worst condition that I have ever seen for a flowers from a florist. The flowers were wilted and bruised and were not the 1 dozen white/pink asiatic lilies ordered. Instead, without notifying me after I placed my order, the florist made a bouquet of 4 white lilies, several calla lilies, a white rose and several additional white flowers and did not include the requested card. Failure 6 - After reviewing the day-late delivered flowers, I called "Famous Florist" to complain and was connected with their "answering service" who appeared to have just woken up. The rude "professional", as she called herself took my number and stated that the manager would return my call by either Sunday or Monday. Failure 7 - Sunday and Monday came and went with no call back from anyone from florist.

I saw that they had potted plants and so I made my way over as my girlfriend was getting her tattoo done. I wanted to pick her up something casual, since I know how excited she was for this piece. I got there, and didnt see any potted plants worth taking home. But I saw really cool looking and different stems lined up along the wall. My mother was a florist for a few years, and they had so many plants that I hadnt seen in a normal floral shop. I was helped by a worker who approached me. I wasnt really sure even how to tell her what I wanted. But I told her my situation, and she asked me for my budget. I said I only had $10 to spend, and they said great. They told me if there were any stems that stood out to me, to point them out. I pointed out a few and I suddenly had a really nice bouquet to bring to my girlfriend. I appreciated this place a lot. The parking was really rough, but so worth the stop by. The visit would definitely make up for that.

I have used Chelsea Famous Florist several times for flower going to my business associates in NEW YORK CITY Beginning in 2006. All of the people that I have sent flowers to, have loved them! The last order on July 3rd was for a birthday. She said they were so Bright and Vibrant, very fresh. She also commented on the quality of the vase. When I call to order I always inquire about how business is. The last person I spoke with reported that business was great! He said that famous Floristl has made over 25,000 flower arrangements since opening in 2006. That is a lot. The Phone people are always friendly. A couple of times I needed the flowers there fast, and they have delivery upgrades to get them there faster than normal. I actually took the time to read their Delivery Policy, and now when normal delivery does not work for me, I upgrade. I would highly recommend famous Florist, and will continue to use them.

On 2/25/15 I ordered online - Raspberry Bliss Delux Bouquet, with a balloon addition. Not only was the balloon not delivered, but the flowers were not what I ordered. I understand that there may be (small) adjustments made based on seasonality of each flower origin, but there is nothing similar in the arrangement that was delivered in comparison to the Raspberry Bliss Delux Bouquet that I actually ordered. The type of flowers that were used are completely different as well as the color scheme. Not to mention they were completely tacky. If there was an issue with the availability on Raspberry Bliss, I should have been notified immediately and at that point it should have been my (the customers) choice as to whether or not to proceed with the order. I feel they falsely represented what was advertised online, and I am very disappointed.

RUN AWAY FROM THIS FLORIST. I called from California for a delivery to the Chelsea neighborhood in New York. They were supposed to deliver on day one, they claimed the recipient wasnt there and they will deliver the next day in the morning. The next day I called them in the morning, they lied to me the flowers were out for delivery. I called in the afternoon, they lied the flowers were been arranged. I called in the evening, it was another story. Needless to say they ruined my surprise, flowers were never delivered. I called several times and got hung up on because they could see my number. They are not reliable and they lie. I am trying to reverse the charge on my credit card. Horrible Florist.

This is the place to go ! I had a difficult last minute order...on a day they close early... and the flowers needed to be delivered before a specific time... And I wanted an intricate arrangement ... And they.:. arranged the most beautiful arrangement that blew the picture I saw online away ! It was delivered in a short amount of time at the exact moment I preferred and looked flawless . Whoever makes these arrangements puts their heart and soul into it. Thank you again to them if they read this ! everyone out there this is the place to go!

The worst florist in NYC! I ordered flowers for my girlfriend who works across the street and she didnt received any. I called the store and after several calls he picked up. I explained the situation and he told me "why you worry, if we dont deliver today we will tomorrow" he also said that he will text me the number of his delivery man but he never did! Thank you for ruin my Valentines day!

So disappointed in the bouquet that was actually sent. The one I saw online was beautiful. The few flowers and unbalanced mess that was sent was an embarrassment. When I wrote and told them about the problem and actually sent them a photo - their response "This is only the one side of the arrangement other side looks very nice" THESE GUYS ARE IGNORANT
