I had come in with my younger brother who wanted to adopt a cat. We were shortly attended by a young man whose name I did not catch. I asked If it was possible to adopt same day and was told to hold on for a couple of minutes. I figured he forgot about us, after more than half an hour of waiting. We found him again after he finished talking with another worker and asked once again about adoption but were answered with "Im sorry the only person who could help you with that just left a minute ago". He was just talking to that other employee, and didnt bother to mention that we hoped to adopt tonight. I understand people forget things, but to forget what we asked him, when there were only five other customers in the span we were there, is incredible. Even more so that he didnt bother to apologize about forgetting, it was as if he had never even attended us. Im positive this was the same employee, unfortunately I did not catch his name. Highly dissatisfied with my visit tonight. 1/5

PLEASE NEVER TAKE YOUR FURBABIES TO PETSMART FOR GROOMING. I dropped Athena off today for a simple BATH, no cut or trim just a bath and got a call shortly that she had a cut on her leg. The lady on the phone tried to make it seem like it wasnt a big deal but something felt off so I drove back up to petsmart. Athenas leg was bandaged up and she was soaking wet, cold and shivering. Athena had a laceration so deep and was bleeding so badly that they had to SEDATE HER AND GIVE HER TWO LAYERS OF STITCHES. I was given absolutely no explanation and they even tried to say she may have been like that when we brought her in which the vet said wouldve been IMPOSSIBLE because of how fresh the cut was. Athena is more than a pet to me shes my life. She has been crying and howling in pain since I got her and I cant give her pain meds yet and my heart is aching. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS INTO PETSMART FOR GROOMING. They are CARELESS and INCOMPETENT!!!!

This Petsmart is very clean, and Ive never had problems in the store. I do agree with Melissa below about their grooming. I needed to get my long-haired cat groomed. She had some really bad mats in her fur so I wanted to get a lion cut (full body shave leaving fur on legs, head, and tail) and to get her bathed. First of all, they ONLY do cat grooming during the week which is kind of annoying. Secondly, I was called and told that they nicked her with the clippers and had to take her to the vet. I appreciate that they took care of her (though they did cut her back leg), but they said they couldnt bathe her because she was too scared. Im sorry, but I can bathe my cat, and Im not a professional. A professional groomer (and one who specializes in cats) should know the proper way to bathe a cat. So after all that, my cat just got a shave and a cut on her back leg yet I still had to pay like $70 - not worth the money. I will not go back.

We have a 1 year old golden doodle. She can get matted pretty quickly even though we take her about once a month. This was our first time coming here to Petsmart and it was our last! We took her around 7:30 am and they called us around 9:30 saying they shaved half of her and couldnt finish due to a cut on her leg that they said was already there!!!! THAT IS A LIE! She had no cuts and nothing was wrong before we took her. They let us walk out of Petsmart with her HALF SHAVED! She looked ridiculous! They wouldnt finish her due to the blood. It was a small knick on her leg but THEY DID IT! If they had of just said we cut your dog we will have to finish next time but no they said she already had it. Customer service was TERRIBLE! No one helped resolve it. No one said sorry! No one did anything! Just let us walk out!! DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR DOGS GROOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This PetSmart is fantastic. I really cant say enough about how well they have treated both of my puppies when they were groomed. The first puppy that I had groomed there was very skittish, but by the the end she had warmed up greatly. My second puppy is a big baby and cries at everything (hes a hound so he is extremely loud), but they never had an issue with him and somehow got him to calm down. I think the best part about this location though, is the trainer Chris. Ive witnessed many dog trainers in the past who taught a lot of things that I didnt agree with. Chris was very kind and loving to all the dogs and made sure to teach us how to discipline our pups without using aggression which I greatly appreciated. Ive only taken the puppy class, but Im already signed up for the intermediate and I honestly wouldnt want another trainer besides Chris. Hes awesome!

Have you ever been to a groomer that went the extra mile to love and cater to your animal as much as you do? I have.. Its definitely not PetSmart on 288. Ive been a customer of PetSmart for 4 years in Sherman TX and never been charged $20+ for the monthly nail grinding and fur cut between the pads. Its always been $14 and they always went the extra mile to actually grind them. I looked at her nails the moment she came out and they looked no different than how they were prior! I bit my tongue and left it alone bc I knew I would get no where being difficult. When you walk outside and have to vent to your husband bc you cant tell the employees bc they shut you down and say this or that is policy. I believe we will try Petco or make the trips to Sherman, spend the extra $$ in gas to drive where she and I get the customer service without the upcharge or policy bs.

A pet store with pretty much all you need for many different types of pets. I go there for my cats and they have the good quality food and items for their special litter box. The prices are on par with other stores. I havent used any of their services, but they offer Veterinarian services and grooming services. They have some exotic animals like lizards and a few smaller snakes. They have rabbits, gerbils, hamsters and mice. The had a decent selection of fish as well. The last time I was in they set-up a small dog adoption area in the middle of the store. It was a fenced off area that customers to play with puppies and dogs up for adoption. They also had a few adult cats for adoption. Staff is always helpful when they arent too busy. My only real complaint is some times they seem under staffed and checking out can be slow. I will be back.

Terrible customer service on the front end on two occasions. Despite kind stock clerks and good trainers I have dealt with in the past, the poor treatment Ive received from rude and unhelpful cashiers ensured I wont be returning to this location. I have trained customer service personnel in the past, so let me pass on some free tips: 1) the customer is not interrupting your other work, especially if you are a cashier. The customer IS your work. 2) something was priced wrong/tagged wrong by stock clerks? Maybe so, but the customer does not care. Just fix the price and spare them the explanation. Its not their problem. 3) "Im sorry" needs to be in your vocabulary. 4) never, ever raise your voice and snap at a customer because they have asked you to fix a problem for them. Id have written you up on the spot.
