Potential Jaguar Land Rover Austin Customer, ask yourself this question and be honest: If your rating on your job was this consistently bad, would you still HAVE a job? EXACTLY! Almost enough said, yet common decency compels me. The negative reviews of this dealership are plentiful, true & proudly ignored by management. Their attitude is dismissive and arrogant...what fun! Welcome to Jaguar Land Rover, Austin, Yall! Youll want to read the Yelp reviews too, gruesome though it is, you cant make this stuff up. No amount of free coffee and sneezed on cookie plate is going to make this hurt less. Respectfully, you have been warned. Seriously, dealing with this place will take years off your life. I thought their 3 star YELP review was pathetic, (higher score than deserved, actually), but their 2 star Google rating is closer to accurate. If you find yourself pointing out that they actually have 2 1/2 stars...really? This is spose to be a LUXURY brand, people. If 2 1/2 * screams success to you, then shop here...low expectations means yall will be a PERFECT fit. On average, people who took the time to write reviews of this dealership scored it well below your local taco stand! Now let THAT sink in. What, oh thinking person with disposable income and a desire to spend it on a nice ride, does that suggest to you? Complacency pure and simple...a sound nose thumbing, as it were...at you, their customer. Feeling like a sucker yet? You will. Is the owner of this franchise blackmailing Range Rover? What other explanation then for England Corporate allowing these people to make owning our beloved brand a Royal pain in the ass? Again...if this was your work review YOUD BE JOBLESS. So Im sticking with blackmail as a plausible explanation. Range Rover...really, what has this guy GOT on you?!?!!! The fact that the ONLY Range Rover dealership for hundreds of miles sucks so inexplicably should alarm someone. Having cornered the market in the fastest growing city in the U.S.. theyre literally the only game in town. Why waste time actually listening to your customers? Ahhh...that takes interest, effort & management! THEY DONT Have THAT HERE. Whos got the time?! They have expansions to oversee! The owner of this franchise appears to only embrace the cash cow aspect of this glossy enterprise. "What customers...you mean those two legged dollar signs? Sign em up and move em out...after milking of course!" AND THE MONEY KEEPS ROLLIN IN....its a beautiful, beautiful thing, so shut up and sign on the dotted line already, fools. I know, I know...I love my Range Rover too, Ive had many. But you go ahead, Newbie. The first time to service youre happy enough in Waiting Pergatory, sinking into your Design within Reach knock off chair, reveling in the free coffee, tv (flat screen, yaaa!) perpetually on replays from old tiddly wink matches & snatching the last creamer. But soon the gild is off even that bright little spot of a lily. Soon, youll be bitterly watching a new crop suckers, eyes all lit up like kids in a candy shop at the shiny showroom models. Youll want to scream, "Run! Run, while you still can...believe the reviews!" But its already too late. The sales force whos been ignoring them for ages now slithers up and makes them actually grateful hes their new best friend & they drive away grinning like idiots, for now...until they start their time in Waiting Pergatory. The cycle begins anew...another one bites the dust. This dealership isnt all bad. They proudly smear bad service all over you like a baby with a loose, and filled diaper, regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation! (And they said it couldnt be done). Get your equal opportunity S#^tty experience right here folks! Amazing, you can absolutely excel at failing in customer service across the board and still reel in the suckers. America, its a great country!

I have had my battery replaced through my Factory warranty about 2-1/2 yrs ago. last week, it died again and my car wouldnt start. I had it jump started through my auto insurance and drove over to Land Rover Austin. I guess they let it sat for about a day so my battery completely died again. I received a call from a dealer saying that they need to replace the battery and I have to pay for it, $260 or something around there. After spending some time online, Ive found out that Interstate Battery offers free replacement within 30 months. I called Firestone & Interstate Battery Store and they both told me to that they will give me free battery if the battery is bad and charge me for installation only. So I called LR back and told them about it. Their response was I wont get the free replacement because the last battery was under the factory warranty and I didnt pay for it. I told him that I paid for the warranty with my LR when I purchased it. He said they only offer 1 year parts warranty after you get a "free replacement". I told him not to replace my battery because I will be picking it up on the next day. They got it jump started for me for FREE!!! then I drove over to Luxury Auto Works in Cedar Park. General Manager, Les checked my battery(at no charge) and told me that maybe a couple of cells are bad. He gave me his business card and said have Interstate battery to call me if they say my battery is fine. I drove over to Interstate Battery in Cedar Park, they checked the battery then got me a free battery with the manufacturers 30 months warranty. I emailed Land Rover Corp. with my story and Caitlyn from Customer Relation Representative called me and said the dealer did what they were supposed to do. She said "I understand where youre coming from but there is nothing I can do for you this time". Land Rover will have you to buy a new battery if you come to the dealership with a dead battery, even though, the manufacturer offers the free replacement. So what would they do after they take out customers dead battery that are still under manufacturers warranty??? Dealer admitted that LR MAY get a reimbursement but not the customer. I bet that they dont ever have to order new batteries because whenever they get to take out the bad batteries that are less than 30 months old, they could get the free replacement! But charge the customer for the full price + mark-up and labor. Youre in no luck but pay for the brand new battery if your dead battery was replaced by the factory warranty(its a one time deal by the way). Dealer told me that LR paid for the battery last time I got it replaced. Dont people pay for the warranty with the cost of their vehicle??? No one offers free warranty! It came with the price of your vehicle you purchased! If you have LR and your battery died, not sure if Jaguars customer service policies and procedures are same as LR, Please go over to Interstate Battery in Cedar Park. Theyre amazingly helpful and friendly. They charged me $19 to install and gave me the free replacement. They told me to come back if my battery died again within 30 months, because I will be getting a free replacement.

Tuesday May 12th, was my first ever service visit to Land Rover of Austin. I recently moved from Portland Oregon 6 months ago and had the vehicle shipped down. My service light was on for my annual service and right rear tire low pressure warning. The turn in of vehicle and service rep. Rey were fast and efficient. Loaner was new and clean. They had my vehicle for 2 days. They recommended the 30,000 mile service for my vehicle (25,800) at time of service. Paid like $638.00 (Paid $130.00 for new windshield wipers that cost $20.00 each anywhere else $60.00 total) They recommended replacement of all four brake pads. (2mm in front, 4mm in back) Quoted $1350.00 for front pads and $900.00 + for rear. Called two other Land Rover service shops in town and both quoted me less than $1200 for all four brake pads. I asked Land Rover of Austin if they could match the price and they said no. The car was already in their possession and supposedly being worked on??? I am getting them installed tomorrow for $1020.00 total for all four with tax included. Brake pads with the sensors cost like $60 to $80 for each. (I have never had a brake pad alert or warning ever show on my display, so I do not even know if they need replacing, I am just trusting that Land Rover of Austin wasnt lying about the wear levels - only 26,000 miles on the vehicle). The worse part of the entire visit was that (1) I wanted my oil changed and fluids filled, (2) my drivers window automatic up function fixed and (3) my rear right tire checked as it showed it was running low on air. None of those items were completed as far as I can tell. (1) Did not fill my windshield washer fluid. (2) Noted that they reset my windshield program on the car on the paper receipt, but on inspection hasnt changed at all. (3) They said they could not patch my tire because it had been patched before. (none to my knowledge) But they did offer to replace all for of my tires that only have 25,000 miles on them for something like $2000.00 +. In summary, they fixed nothing, charged me $400.00 for an oil change and filter change, quoted me over $4500.00 in unnecessary repairs that could easily be fixed for half the price or less. I wanted to go back an ask them to fix what they didnt, but I quickly realized that would be stupid on my part. I would rather write a review and let you know what really happens at LandRover of Austin. This is my second Land Rover to own and always had them serviced at the other dealers. Dallas, San Antonio and Portland. I would recommend any of them. Just not Austin. Cheerio, Land Rover of Austin.
