Similar story to Elisabeths/Anns comment below... A spit shined lemon. I fell for the lipstick on the pig. Now I have to pay almost as much fixing the car as I payed in cash for the car. They just fell back on the documents I signed, enforcing the "sorry, no warranty"! " Should have had the car inspected! " Yes, I should have...my bad. I dont have a legal leg to stand on and have regrets for my quick decision to purchase this vehicle ~ live & learn.. Bottom Line: JEWEL should inspect their vehicles themselves. Fix items needed or declare needed repairs w/ proper parts vs. trying to shine it up for a quick sale and playing ignorant about any known issues. ~take my advice: avoid small car lots (and the big ones) . Find a quality car sold by-owner with maintenance records and a honest handshake! UPDATE 10/13 -...and the lack of professionalism continues, as I have yet, after 45 days received niether my plates, registration, title.or a courtesy call with a status update! Im trying to sell this car, now that I have a total of $1500 of repairs in it (catalytic converter, the correct plugs & wires, a air intake plenum gasket, EGR valve & solinoid)all so I could get it inspected before 9/1! ... and the needed repair list is putting my investment costs at twice the value of this vehicle. (A/C condensate clogged, have tear out dash to access, to stop flooding/mildewing of floorboard // timing belt // valve stem seals for excessive smoking. ) What gets me is that you guys know you sell cars with both known & unknown issues and have customers sign their life away from any rights to get service after the sale from you guys. You shouldnt market cars untill you know the underlying issues with it, either repaired or needed. It makes you a more reputable and trust worthy business. The car had been in your possession for well over 2 weeks, as I have craigslist ads to prove it. When I had originally called and asked the cars origin, I was told by some elderly gentleman it was bought from a rental company. That is the opposite of the truth. Yes, been meaning to take the time to file a report with BBB. Since yall have no desire to make things right, at least on the $500 cost for me to replace the erroneous plugs / wires. My goal is to continue my quest to inform the public. ~your choice. So, can you please find out the status of my plates and registration...oh and TITLE!

A couple of years ago I bought a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder from this company. I didnt think to write a review, but I was happy enough with my vehicle after a few years to refer a friend to Jewel Motors. We came on here to get a map to show her how to get there and saw the good reviews that were similar to my satisfaction and a couple that were bad. I felt that the employees of Jewel Motors were knowledgeable and very informative and when I asked if I could take the car to a mechanic they had no problem with it at all. The mechanic said it was a great vehicle, a few items needed maintenance but for the year and mileage it was in great shape and the maintenance needed was what a vehicle of this age and mileage will generally need. I was amazed to find that how they described the vehicle and what the mechanic said were about the same story, making me think they know what they are selling and are an honest dealership. With any business, they can try all they can to be as good as they can be, but it is impossible to satisfy everyone. It sounds like to me that the angry customers below didnt do their research and made a decision, which generally if you make big decisions without much thought, you generally get upset about it, in this case I think they felt it right to blame who they bought the vehicle from because of not thinking their decision through. I am certainly happy and I think they will treat my friend as nicely as they did me and she will have a vehicle running as well as mine and as affordable in price too. Thanks guys!

Called today to ask about options. I bought a mediocre car here a few years ago that lasted me about a year, and thought it may be a good option after needing a quick car after a wreck. The person I spoke to FREAKED out when I asked if they would be willing to work on the price of a vehicle (asking $3900). Kelly blue book said the cars value at excellent condition was about $3000, and I asked if they would be willing to negotiate. First he told me to rip kelly blue book up and throw it in the trash, and then before hanging up told me to go "Take it in the ass". WTF kind of business is this? I would have been willing to talk about it, but not after that. Taking my money elsewhere. Will never recommend.

BUYER BEWARE FOR JEWEL MOTORS! 1 week after I bought my auto there in Oct 2011, I had to replace the catalytic converter $500. Now 5 months later $300 more bucks for AC line. I should have gone with my first instinct and not purchase there but Bryan seemed personable. Nice front. I understand buyer beware so I cant fully blame Jewel Motors. I should have gone to the other auto dealer that offered at least a 3 month warranty even though their place looked just as bad as Jewels. Make sure you check the littlest details such as dash board lights, cd player (if applicable), cigarette lighter. I know these are the least of my concern but you would asume they would work.

BUYER BEWARE!! This place purchases cars at auction that have frame damage or have been in wrecks just before auction. The flip them fast enough for the damage to not show up on the title until after the car is yours. I bought my car from them in 2009 and just went to sell it (July 2012) not knowing it had frame damage. It showed up on the title a month after I bought it and it was noted that the frame damage was mentioned when sold at the auction. I have documentation from this dealership saying it had a clear title and lying about the prior history of this car. Very shady business - BBB here I come.

What a great dealership!! I bought a car from Jewel Motors back in October of 2009 and the car is still running. I got a great deal on a 1996 Buick Park Avenue, and havent had to put very much maintenance into it since. They were honest with me up front about the minor problems the car had, and I felt at ease when doing business with them. I would recommend this dealership to everyone!! Whenever I know of someone thats looking for a car, I send them to Jewel Motors first!! Keep up the good work guys and I wish you continued success!! You are all JEWELS!!

I recently bought a car from them it broke down less then 24 hours after we bought it and in a matter of 2 weeks broke down 3 times with multiple problems. We have spent over $2500 getting the car to run and when we talked to the owner about it the best he could do is an "Im sorry that happened but we sale everything as-is no warranty" obviously we will never buy from them again, dont throw your money away even if you have to spend a little more money somewhere else, it would be worth it.
