Boy, I cant say enough good things about this place. Our bank, USAA, recommended this dealer. Roland Trejo, our sales guy, contacted us almost immediately via email even though we posted our internet inquiry after hours. I received a polite and professional call from him the next morning where he followed up on my wifes inquiry into a--get this--used HONDA minivan they had on their lot. (Our sales guy that we actually visited at Clark Knapp Honda did not call us the following day after having looked around the lot with him.) Anyway, it worked out for us. Roland was exceptional. He was thorough, but never pushy, respectful, informed and fun (without being obsequious). We were polite in telling him that my wife preferred a different make in vehicle and he respected my wifes preference. He never not once forced us into a Toyota (they have different makes and models at the dealership). Their price was second to none. Roland always respected my budget--none of that "let me get you into a little bigger car" talk from him. He knew what we were looking for and he zeroed in like a man on a mission. Even when it looked like we might have to wait a couple of months for financial reasons, Roland was always respectful. He reminded us that, even if we couldnt do the deal now, he would love it if we would consider him in 6 months if we needed that time. When it came to the vehicle we picked, Roland made us his best pitch. While considering the deal, we asked Roland for a couple of days to make up our minds and guess what? A salesman actually respected our wishes. He called us precisely on the hour at which we had told him to call us back--not before. When we found the vehicle my wife wanted, Toyota of Pharr offered us top value for our trade-in (we had checked around previously), and they put us in our dream car for a rock-bottom price. Their finance department was also excellent even though I almost didnt use them. Johnny Rodriguez, their finance manager, exceeded our expectations. We had previously declined to finance through them because our bank, USAA, had already extended us a very good deal. Since we use USAA for just about everything, we chose not to go with Johnnys options. Johnny respected our decision and never pressured me to apply with them. It was not until USAA was giving me a hard time on the paperwork and add-ons (when I grew visibly frustrated while at the dealership) that Johnny asked me "Mr. Tijerina, please let me make you an offer. I can beat your rate, I know it!" Well, I reluctantly agreed to let Johnny make me and offer. And boy, what an offer it was. He almost cut my rate IN HALF. Who does that? I love USAA, but not that much... This is a long review, but I want yall to know that my family is not from the Valley. We do not know anyone that works at Toyota of Pharr. This was my honest-to-goodness experience with them. Just as I am the first one to rip an establishment for poor customer service, I should be as willing to praise an establishment for exceptional customer service when I find it. Roland Trejo and the rest of the folks at Toyota of Pharr, exceeded my expectations. Since they went the extra mile for me, I figured that I would do the same for them. Thank you, thank you, thank you Toyota of Pharr. And good luck on your sales this Fourth of July weekend! Sincerely, the Tijerinas.

I would give no stars if I could. To start off I traded in my car and went in to get the refund for my warranty. I went in prepared with the odometer reading on the Toyota at the time of trade in and the letter from the bank showing that the vehicle was paid off. I went with Joe in financing and did the trade in and was told I didnt need the odometer reading and "WE will be receiving the check ($1800) in two to three weeks just sign this and your good to go" Sounds awesome right? WRONG! I called back three weeks later, spoke to Joe and was told it takes four to six weeks to be sent to ME. I moved a little after trading in the car and was never asked to verify my address so he transferred me to Karina Ochoa who verified that it was sent to my previous address but they could not cancel the check until a month after the day is was sent(was sent Nov. 8th), what kind of stupid bull is that?!?! If it was sent to the wrong place why are you going to risk someone cashing it because you have to wait a month?!?! Oh yeah. because it was MY money not theirs. So then I called and got a little upset and they canceled it before the month and sent it to the correct address, Awesome yet? OF COURSE NOT! I got the check, $1,180. Not the 1,800 it was suppose to be. I called and left multiple voice mails for Karina Ochoa whenever she finally answered (bc she never called back) she sounds like she did not know anything every time I talked to her. She then proceeds to tell me that the amount was correct and because I did not take the Odometer reading she didnt have an accurate amount of how much I should ave gotten back. ARE YOU F*ING KIDDING ME?!? She tells me there is a 1800 I can call to call and argue. Why the heck and I going to call if you, KARINA OCHOA, and JOE are the ones who messed up?? This was two weeks ago. Ive been calling and leaving Karina voicemails, but she apparently doesnt know how to call people back, figures. So here I am, two months later STILL missing the full 1800 joe told me I would get. Thank you for your horrible service and making me never want to deal with you, and making sure everyone I know never deals with you. EVER AGAIN.

My wife and I were considering a replacement for our older car with a lot of miles on it. Some friends had recently purchased a used Toyota van from Josh Castillo at Toyota of Pharr. They strongly suggested we contact Josh and see what he could do for us. They assured us we would not be pressured to buy. With that assurance I contacted Josh and set a date and time for us to come by and look at some used cars. When we arrived, Josh was busy with another customer but assured us he would be with us as soon as he could. While waiting, we were offered cold bottled water and coffee. No one hassled us. We were able to wait in peace. We had agreed in advance that if we felt any pressure or that we were being subjected to any type of “trick” we would walk out. When Josh finished with his previous customer he greeted us. We told him what we were interested in and we got the keys and offered a test drive. The test drive went well and at no time did we ever feel pressured to buy the car. Upon return to the dealership we discussed the price and registration process as we wanted to title and register the car in another state. Mr. Castillo was very accommodating and cordial. He answered all of our questions. In fact, everyone we encountered at Toyota of Pharr, was and continue to be, very friendly. There is an atmosphere of calm, not the hustle and bustle of most dealerships. We ended up purchasing the car and are very pleased with it and the sales experience. Josh has called a number of times to inquire about our satisfaction and if were have had any trouble with the car. (we have not had any trouble) We are grateful to our friends for recommending Toyota of Pharr and Josh Castillo. We have made the same recommendation to some of our friends. We bought a used Toyota Avalon and prior to purchase they allowed us to have it inspected by our mechanic. After going through the car he advised it was in great shape and should give us wonderful service for many years to come. When we are in the market for another car, we will just contact Toyota of Pharr, we will not consider going anyplace else. We only hope that Josh is still there.
