This was my first car buying experience and it was a great one. I have heard many horror stories from friends who had to deal with rude/ inexperienced/ sketchy car dealerships. I ll tell you right now, Barrett Auto Gallery is the place to go. I drove from Houston to Mcallen to pick up my Mercedes C-300 and it was worth every mile of it. Rudy was my sellsperson, and he was exceptional. Would not take no for an answer from the banks and was able to get me approved although I had no credit history. I truly believe that Barrett Auto Gallery is not just there to get you into any car in their lot, they will place you in the car that you want. The only issue I saw with Barrett Auto Gallery was that I had to drive to Mcallen to pick up the car,I told them about my problem and they came up with a solution to keep me happy. These are the little things that make me want to come back in a couple of years to get a new car. I applied to about four different places in Houston for a car loan, I am financially stable, but due to my lack of credit histroy everyone denied me with a flatout NO. A cousin referred me to Barrett and now I am driving a Mercedes. Defenitely would recommend to anyone who is car shopping in Texas.

After reviews provided from a colleague of mine I was impressed about the quality service they provided to him in the purchase of his vehicle. I have been looking for a particular Porsche Cayman. By luck, Barrett Autos had one advertised and I was impressed by the quality of Porsche. I have been to many dealerships but I have never had such an enjoyable time than with the staff at Barrett Auto. Rudy, my salesman, was very understanding and supportive of the concerns, requests, and expectations I had in purchasing a used Porsche. Rudy and Barrett Autos understood and exceeded my expectations throughout the purchase of my Porsche Cayman. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in buying a quality vehicle to check these aficionados out. They really go above and beyond to ensure the consistent quality of work. Rudy is an amazing individual who really cares about your service and experience. He has called me to wish my happy birthday, check on how my car has treated me, shared words and was genuine throughout every discussion. I now live in Texas. However, the next car I plan to buy I will definitely look at Barrett Auto and ask to exclusively work with Rudy.

The worst possible Car Dealer for anyone to ever deal with!!! They only care about making money, which translates to ripping you off! Several Thousand dollars below "Rough Trade-in" value, and the car you want, they want several thousand (in my case $10K) OVER Retail Appraised value!!! Most of their cars are high mileage luxury cars, meaning they will have issues very soon, and will be very expensive to fix! Find a low mileage one, and they will rip you off as stated above. Worst kind of Used Car Sharks weve ever seen! Bottom line, stay away from this dealer, and NO, I am NOT another Dealer or competitor, just a San Juan resident. BTW... A good friend of mine bought a Jaguar from them, all looked good at the time of purchase (Still paid too much for it BTW) and it died within 30 days of purchase. That Jaguar cost him $2300 to repair... So BEWARE!!!

As an recent arrival to the USA, I unexpectedly found myself in a difficult position transport wise and credit wise. After months and months of no progress, one phone call to Rudy Vallejo at Barrett and my problem was solved. During the months of frustration that I endured, I spoke to many car dealerships and salespeople. However, Rudy took a different approach and actually took the time to understand my situation. Such a simple but effective strategy. In talking a different approach, the process of arriving at a solution and a decision was quite different to what I expected. Today, I am very pleased to say, that I drove away in my new vehicle. The essence of my experience is that - he did not sell me a car but rather he solved my problem and did so brilliantly! I live in Georgia, over 1,100 miles away from McAllen, TX. I found this beautiful 2014 640I BMW in immaculate condition at Barrett Auto Gallery. My sales person was Octavio (Tavo). He went above and beyond from the first day we started working on the deal for the car. He helped me every step on the way. He is an fantastic person to work with. I have purchased plenty of cars in my 57 years on this earth, and this by far was the smoothest. He went above and beyond his duties as a sales person.
